Music: I started making music with my computer a while back. I have started getting a little better, and i'll stick too it.. maybe someday.. . I would like to start gathering equipment like my friend Dairy (who also does electronic music) sos we can be rich a famous or something. Here are some sounds i arranged in a particular order...you will need an mp3 player such as Sonique.. Try lim_ver1, microdream or claretrance first- dey are ok- I kinda like Snowflake folly too.. I SUCK!!! lim_ver1(4.11 meg, 4:30) Less Is More.. Learning new lessons 1. lim 2. NEVER add filters untill you song is good without them.. don't use them to cover mistakes. 3. Mix with your volume down- This track is mixed WAY too low SO PLEASE TURN IT WAY UP WHEN YOU LISTEN TO IT (and remember to turn your volume down after, or the next time you listen to "smack my bitch up" yur ears'll bleed) Snowflake folly (6.7 meg, 3:55) Strange thing I did on a snowy blustery day. SLOW(5 meg, 5:24) A diddy i did a while ago and just discovered again on my harddrive.. a little D+B a little strange. MicroDream (5.4 meg, 5:47) Cannot stop thinking of Murray Head's brilliant song "one night in bangkok" when i listen to this one, also heavy Beck influence i think. dreamy- creepy- i will be working on this one more.. Darktolight (6.6 meg, 7:16) one kinda recent track. feels like two songs smooshed together, kinda hard to light. 400BPM (2.5 meg, 3:09) All about fast beats and patterns, around 400 beats per minute in fact. *Goodbyejet* (5.35 meg, 5:50) A track i did to play live at jetogi's going away party. I was kind of proud of this one at the time- its better live when i don't screw up the filter tweaking but you get the idea from this mp3. The horns in the middle are a little out of place, but overall this is an ok trac. The last 30 seconds or so can be jammed forever when playing a live PA. How to steal Samples (1 meg 1:00) just silliness one sunday morning, i might do something with it later... kinda funny Strange Shit (4 meg 5:34) Live messing around with a kit in my mother's attic, where i was living at the time, like a loser. The Anthem Chronical- wanted to learn how to do a trance anthem, bellow are several attempts.. ClareTrance remix again (6 meg, 6:6) After realizing a few errors with filters and getting annoyed with a over-driven bass kick i toned it down a little. Less is More. Two versions below are for historical puposes only.
Tools: All of these tracks were composed with a program called Fruityloops . This program does EVERYTHING except, as i discovered just the other day, midi sync in slave mode. This feature was removed in the new version and i'm kinda upset about it. You can't have everything i reckon... I actually paid for this software, its one of the few companies i think deserve my money for an excellent product. While FL is a great production tool, it's not very good for improv and live PA- and it doesn't play well with others, so i am going to buy a thing called the RS7000 from Yamaha.. this thing is cool- *if* it does what it claims.. as soon as it's available in the U.S. i will let you know...
Other People: Halcyon441 I don't know this guy, but he is VERY good at making music, and he should be making more money, so go check out ... And i continue my worship of Elleinad ..( yes it spells Danielle backwards) The woman I would marry if I wasn't a hopelessly obsessive internet geek--i hope no restraining orders are in my future.. anyway she makes good music... and don't forget Dairy, aka ToneHog..
