His will, dated 28 May 1737, was pr on 9 Apr 1738, and a citation was issued to the executrix, Mrs. Mary Tripp on 21 Mar 1737/8. He was not ment in his father's will of 29 Dec 1713. He was called Ensign on son Thomas' marriage records. (Austin 208 (b); Dartmouth VR 1:281 (b); Bristol Co. Probates 9:36; Randall, Joseph Tripp 3; Valentine 183, where called a resident of Dutchess co, NY, undoubtedly in error, as his will was recorded in RI; MA IGI [b]).

He was married to Mary ----- about 1700 in Dartmouth, MA. Mary ----- was born about 1680. She died after 21 Mar 1737/38 in Dartmouth, MA. She was christened. She was buried. Marriage - Valentine 183. No further information. James TRIPP and Mary ----- had the following children:

132 iv. Mary TRIPP was born on 14 Oct 1720 in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA. She was christened. She died. She was buried. ! She m. (int.) 25 Jan 1742 SILAS HOWLAND. There is no mention of her in Dartmouth VR or Howland Gen. (Dartmouth VR 1:279-284 [b]; Randall, Joseph Tripp 3; MA IGI [b]).
