413. Israel TRIPP was born in 1750 in Rhode Island. Descendants say he had a brother, John, unmarried--who was arrested and sentenced to be executed as a Tory--on being given an hour to bid his friends good-bye on the green he at last came to his brother's horse which he thought a great deal of, it being the best one in the vicinity--he stepped around to the other sid of the horse and quickly mounted and dashed away and escaped-- never heard from again.
