On the road in South Asia

At the top, Nancy enjoys a cool evening sea breeze in the company of our host, Latheef, and a colleague from Maldives broadcasting.  On the left, Sri Lankan dancers present a traditional performance at a Colombo wedding.  Sadly, many cities in Asia have severe environmental problems, even ones in developing countries.  Testimony to this is the view of Kathmandu choked in smog on the right.

On the left is a view of the harbor in Male, capital of the Maldive Islands, a country made up of numerous small atolls scattered across the Indian Ocean. On the right, an action scene from our 2000 Management course sponsored by Nepal Television in Kathmandu.

A crowd of worshipers throng around the principal Buddha statue in a temple on the outskirts of Kathmandu.  In the center is another course photo, taken at our 2000 seminar in Islamabad, Pakistan.  At the right, another scene from another temple in Nepal, a country of many such religious sites.
