Two Small Collections of Early Lamps
The top picture shows a collection of twenty early lamps that were purchased by the Teyler Foundation1 in 1881 at the Paris Exhibition. It includes lamps made by Edison, Swan, Lane-Fox, Maxim and Siemens. These existed (in 1961) in Teyler's Museum, Haarlem, Netherlands. The lower picture shows a collection of ten lamps made between the years 1880 and 18901. These are in the collection at the Science Museum, London, England.
