The Personal Side of Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome
by Sue Jones
PARTING THE FOG is a candid account dealing with the
reality of being an FMS/CFS sufferer. While it is occasionally a
story of gloom, it is never a story of doom. As the author herself
has been stricken with this illness, respect is shown for the
seriousness of FMS/CFS. Yet, humor is mingled with hardship and the
pages are sprinkled with hope. Prose and poetry combine to get to
the heart of the FMS/CFS experience.
Within these pages you will find:
A "Don't Ask - Do Ask" list for "Normals."
A poem titled "A Sufferer's Prayer" along with many other
inspiring, sometimes humorous poems.
A letter to supportive people.
A personal page at the end of each chapter, to enable you to
tell YOUR story, if you so choose.
Nothing technical. Just an easy-to-read
account of a not-easy-to-live-with-illness.
"The book "Parting the Fog" has a total of 23 poems dealing with a host of issues relating to FMS/CFS."
My name is Judith, and I am also a sufferer of
FMS/CFS. I have read this book many times,it's filled with information, but the poems are what keep me coming back. I called Sue one day and asked if
I could make this website with some of her beautifully written
poems, and she granted permission. So my gift to Sue and
all of you out there with any chronic illness, a small collection of
the many poems written in Sue's book.
