MEMORIAL CROSS AND SIGN
The pictured south wall of the storage is quite large and barren.  Some of us envision a large cross and the wordage of ‘JACKSON AREA MINISTRIES’ being placed in that area.  I am suggesting that THE CROSS become an act of remembering and honoring our friends and loved ones.  A plaque listing all individuals and/or congregations will be placed in the lobby of the office.  Interested persons should contact the JAM office and we would be delighted to accommodate your request.  THANKS

TWO COMMUNITY GARDENS KEPT ACTIVE ALL SUMMER.
We continue to demonstrate the advantages of growing produce for local food pantries.  The pantries in Jackson County all benefit from fresh vegetables and much more all summer long.  Green beans, tomatoes, sweet corn and potatoes were distributed to the pantries.

This picture is of our community garden in Jackson utilizing the land of a former school.  Jackson County Municipal Court was the sponsor.  Community workers from the Court worked the entire harvest season.

This has been the second year that JAM and the Municipal Court have cooperated in this successful project.

The United Methodist Men from Christ Church, Jackson, again planted their "Potatoes Patch".  The men's group in mid-September harvested the last of the produce.  Conversation has already begun for next year.
