In 1991, Shana had just been modeling for four months before she was discovered by Paul Marciano, President and Creative Director of GUESS?, Inc. Born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado, Shana was 20-years-old when the GUESS? campaign was shot in Yuma, Arizona. Of German and English descent, Shana's look was very different from former GUESS? model, Claudia Schiffer. At 5'9 1/2", she has dark, long, wavy hair and dark brown eyes. Her spectacular looks were perfectly suited for the 'Arizona' campaign, which was loosely based on the 1960's Western film, The Professionals, starring Claudia Cardinale and Charles Bronson. Paul Marciano chose Shana for her dark, exotic looks. He said, "Shana has the mysterious sensuality of Raquel Welch in her twenties." Shana was seen in the 'Arizona' campaign enjoying herself in a rural town, in the sun, on a porch and with local residents. Shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, Shana was captured in these modern, yet very '60s-like settings.
