As part of an international campaign to broaden the definition of
beauty, Dove has sponsored a touring exhibit featuring the work of
celebrated female photographers. Annie Leibovitz, Sam Taylor-Wood,
Ellen Von Unwerth and Julie Moos, among others, capture women of all
sizes and backgrounds in a 60-image show that returns to Canada
after visiting Europe and the U.S. "As a beauty company, it's
important for us to be an agent of change in how society defines
beauty,' says Dove marketing manager Erin Iles. "We're thrilled to
showcase beauty in a fresh, authentic way."
See for yourself: The exhibit runs August 5 to 14, 2005 at the Toronto Eaton Centre;
September 2 to 11, 2005 at Laval’s Carrefour Laval; September 23 to
October 2, 2005 at Winnipeg's Polo Park Shopping Centre; and October 14
to 23, 2005 at Calgary's Chinook Centre.
