This is my first story so I thought I'd write it about my favorite character, Maggie.

All Grown Up

Bring, Bring.

"All right, all right, I'm coming" Fran Sheffield muttered to the phone "Hello" she said groggily

"Fran?" the person on the other end of the phone questioned

"Maggie, honey why are you ringing at this hour of the morning?"

"Sorry, it's just that I've just found something out, but Dad is going to freak" Maggie replied

"What could be so important that you have to ring at 4 in the morning?"

"Me and Michael are going to fly over tomorrow so we can tell you in person' OK?"

"Yeah, what time will you arrive, do you want use to pick you up?"

"We land at 5pm but we'll catch a taxi"

"Fine, I'll see you tomorrow then, Bye."

Bye Fran, sorry again about waking you up"

The Next Morning:

Maxwell Sheffield walk down the stairs of his Californian home. He could not have been happier, he had a beautiful and loving wife, 5 children and his very own successful sitcom which he ran with his business partner CC Babcock who was now officially CC Butler after she married his butler, Niles who was again working for them after 5 disastrous replacements.

He saw Fran in the living room with the twins Eve and Jonah and called out

"Darling who was on the phone last night?"

"Opps" she replied sheepishly "I forgot, Maggie said she and Michael were flying out here to tell us some big news. I didn't know you were awake."

"I wasn't," he replied "your voice does carry Darling"

That comment earned him a slap and a loud "Hey"

Later On At 5:30:

Ding Dong

"I'll get that" Niles called out as he walked towards

"Niles" Grace's voice piped up from behind him "You are the butler it is you job to answer the door"

Niles just smirked

"Miss Margaret Master Michael , I didn't know you were coming." Niles said in surprise

" I bet Fran didn't tell you" Maggie sighed

" I told you we should have rung early." Michael told his wife

"Oh well you here now so come in." Niles said politely

"Thanks Niles, Oh when did you become butler?" questioned Maggie

"Since your father fired Sylvester" Niles informed them

"Maggie, Michael, it wonderful to see you again"

At the sound of another voice Maggie jumped

"Dad, she said in surprise "I thought you would be at the studios?"

"No we're not filming today. But anyway what is this big surprise?"

"I tell you later. Now where's Fran?"

"I think she's with the twins. FRAN?"

"Yes honey, I was just behind you." she replied softly

"Look who's here." Max said happily

"Maggie, Michael" Fran squealed as she reached out for a hug

"Soo what's the big news?" she asked

At this question Michael and Maggie looked at each other, then Michael said "Can we sit down?"

"Certainly" Maxwell said "Niles will you get some drinks"

"Yes Sir um Max" Niles fumbled

As they entered the sitting room Maggie cautioned her father "Dad, when you hear this please don't get mad."

"Why not?" Max said warily to no one in particular

"Maxx. So what's the big news?" Fran said cautiously

"Um I'm pregnant" Maggie managed to squeak out.

"WHAT" Maxwell roared "You did this to her didn't you? I knew she was too young to get married and now I'm going to a bloody grandfather?"

"Sweetie, calm down" Fran said rationally to her enraged husband

Once he calmed down Fran asked Maggie "Maggie honey are you sure? Last time you said that you weren't sure."

"Yes, I'm sure. I've already been to the doctor and he said I'm due early November"

"Fran, Maxwell, I've finished my contract in Japan and me and Maggie would be a lot happier if we could stay here during the pregnancy and for a little bit after the baby's born?" Michael said tentatively

"Of course not" Maxwell started to say but was interrupted by Fran who scolded him

"Maxwell your not seriously going to abandon your daughter at such a important time in her life? Yes of course it's OK." she then said kindly to Michael.

"Dad, just so you know I'm 3 months along so it's too late for an abortion and I do want this baby."

"Yes, I'm sorry Michael for yelling at you like that but"

"Maxwell, I know and it's OK" Michael interrupted.

"Good well, Maggie congratulations, it's just I only recently became a father again and now I'm going to be a grandfather" Maxwell said shaking his head.

Yeah, fairly unusual huh?"

"Congratulations Miss Margaret" Niles burst out

"Niles were you at the intercom again?" Maxwell warned

"What intercom?" Niles said innocently

"The one just outside the door" Maxwell replied through gritted teeth

"Oh my goodness I never noticed" Niles said in fake surprise

"Niles don't you have something to clean?" said a fed up Maxwell

"I think I do" Niles said and crepted out of the room

"Maggie, will you have to fly back to get some stuff?" Fran said to relieve the tension

"No, I've brought some stuff and I guess I'll be needing maternity things soon." Maggie replied with a sigh

"Ooh there is this really great boutique nearby and it specializes in maternity wear" Fran said excitedly

"What about you Michael?" Maxwell said still ashamed about his previous outburst

"Nah, since I travel a lot I'm use to living in a few things but I'll buy stuff as well." Michael said breezily

"You two must be tired, I'll get Niles to set up the guest bedroom for you, but it can become you room for a while." Fran said kindly.

That Night:

"That was harder then I imagined" Maggie murmured to Michael "I mean when your young you never think about how your going to tell your parents that your pregnant. But I never thought that Dad would react that badly, I'm really sorry about that."

"Hey it's OK" Michael soothed "We're married, it's part of the bargain. You have to put up with in-laws"

"Yeah but my Dad always overreacts, remember when you proposed. Dad said no. And that was when I was an adult can you imagine what he was like when I was young?" Maggie questioned with tears in her eyes. she laughed and wiped her eyes "I remember the first night Fran was the nanny. Dad was holding this backers party, but Fran thought that we were invited so she got us these new outfits and stuff. Anyway the was a waiter there, and we started talking and then he kissed me. I was really excited because it was my first kiss and all." She shook her head, "But Dad thought he was mauling me and then fired Fran for allowing it, we eventually convinced him to hire her again. I think even Niles yelled at him.'

"Come on, it's late and we have had a long day, let's go to sleep." Michael said with a yawn.

6 Months Later-November:

"CC, what was it like when you had Clara, I know I've asked Fran, but all she says is it was agony?" Maggie asked CC

"Um, she's right, it is agony"

"Great" muttered Maggie

"This may sound horrible but it feels like your hips are being pulled out of your skin. But in the end, it's worth it" CC said with a smile. She had changed so much in the last year. After marrying Niles she had become less business like but after Clara was born she really had had a complete personality change. But no one minded, of course.

"It's just that I'm so scared, I've always been terrible...." Maggie faltered off

"Maggie, what is it?" CC asked, her voice full of concern

"I've got this really bad lower stomach ache." Maggie replied weakly "It feels like what you just described"

"We've got to get you to the hospital, now." CC said taking charge "You get out to the car while I tell Fran, OK?"

Yeah, whatever, just hurry up" Maggie muttered through clenched teeth.

"Fran? FRAN!" CC shouted as she ran through the house, "NANNY FINE!"

"CC" Fran came out of her bedroom with a robe on obviously just out of the shower " What is that important that you had to ruin my shower?"

"Maggie's gone into labor. I'll give you 2 minutes to change, we'll wait in the car."

"Done."

Fran quickly changed into jeans and a sweater, grabbed her wallet and ran down the staircase and out the door.

Later That Night:

"Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Maggie let out a bloodcurdling scream as pain rocketed through her body.

"Michael?" she whimpered

"It's OK baby, I'm here and you'll get through this, right?"

Maggie nodded

And we'll have a healthy baby and we'll have a great life, right?"

Maggie tried to nod but another contraction bolted through her exhausted body.

"Well I think that one did it Maggie. Now when the next contraction comes I want you to push down as hard as you can."

Maggie then started to push down but didn't have enough energy.

"I can't" she sobbed "I'm too tired"

"Margaret you have to. Anyway one more push and I think it will be here. Ready, 1, 2, 3 GO!" the doctor said encouragingly

"Wahhhhh" Maggie and Michael's baby gave it's first wail it the world.

"Congratulations, you have a baby girl" the doctor said to the new parents

"She's perfect" whispered Maggie as the doctor handed the baby girl to her

"No" Michael "We're perfect. Now you did all the hard work, what should we call her?"

"Um, how about Audrey Sara?"

"I think she likes it. She gurgled her approval." Michael said laughing

"Hey" Maggie remember "Mom and Dad are probably wondering what's going on, could you go get them?"

"Sure" Michael walked out the door "who wants to meet Audrey Sara?"

Fran, Maxwell, Niles, CC, Brighton and Grace all clambered to enter the room.

"My little girl now has her own little girl" Maxwell whispered to Maggie as he hugged her

"Maggie, I brought her her first toy, a yellow rabbit, I didn't know whether it was a boy or girl so I brought yellow" Grace said with a smile, "I don't believe it, I'm an aunt at 13." she said with a laugh

"Yeah" Brighton said "I'm an uncle too"

"Hey" Niles called out "You know that this means Yetta is a great-great grandmother"

At that everyone laughed.

Maxwell then said happily "7 months ago I thought I had the perfect life but I now know I really do."
