A Producer's Wife

Fran was feeling lonely. Max was wrapped up in work, and time with him was not happening. When he did get home, he would be tired, and the most she could hope for is his arms around her. She knew it came with being a producer's wife, but it was lonely. "If only there is something I could do?" she said.

The twins were toddling around, and keeping mom busy, but she would still miss Max. One look at Jonah and Eve, and she would think of her husband. Both of them look like their daddy, Eve has her mom's temper.

Along with missing Max, Grace was now in college, and so empty nest syndrome, with Maggie being married and in Japan, and Brighton off in College after his year off, she had the twins, and the holiday visits from the other kids.

Even Niles and CC were scarce, with CC's work, and Niles watching little Maddie, he worked for Max still, but included his daughter in everything he did.

Fran takes her twins shopping, it always makes her feel better. Then she treated them to a movie she knew they would like. An idea came to her while watching the movie. "We will go see Max, surprise him with a picnic lunch at work." she thought.

Max always liked it when Fran would surprise him at work, as long as she was not in the way of what they are doing at the time, Fran accidentally went onto a mark and messed up a scene the actors were doing, Max didn't get too angry but scolded anyway.

Fran would be careful this time. She knew if she could get Max to look at her and their babies, he would find a way to make some time for them. After the movie, off they go to the theatre, where Max is.Fran stops and gets her picnic basket ready.

Fran brings the children in their twin stroller, she didn't want them running around and getting into something, Max would never let her hear the end of it, if it were to happen. When Max sees his family, he smiles. "What a nice surprise!" Max said.

He kisses all of them, and they eat lunch. "what have you three been doing today? Max asked. "We went to a movie, Max, and they loved it." Fran said. "We also went shopping." she said. "After this, we are going home for a nap." she said.

Max loved seeing Fran with the twins. The two newest productions of Max and Fran's. "Honey, we are going to need to discuss preschool soon." Fran said. Max wanted them in private school, Fran did to. "We will,Darling." Max said.

Max has CC finish the afternoon, he decided to spend the rest of the afternoon with his family. Fran and the twins were happy. They go home, and after their baths, the twins were fast asleep. Max and Fran use the time to make love and cuddle.

"Oh, this feels so right, being here instead of work." Max said. "Yes, honey, and I have missed you." Fran said. They fall asleep to. They were awakened by the twins getting in bed with them. After a tickling session, Max plays with the twins , and Fran does to, enjoying one another.

Max calls CC and tells her to finish the day without him, he had catching up time with his family. CC huffed, but knew when Max made up his mind, he meant it. "Alright, Maxwell, but make sure you come back tomorrow." she said.

"Tell you what, Fran, I will wrap up this week, and take next week off, how about it?" Max said. "Oh, honey, it would be great!" Fran said. "We could plan fun things to do with the twins." Fran said. "We will also make time for us." Fran said.

"It's settled, then." Max said. "I have always wanted to go to Disney World, Max." Fran said. "alright, we will go." Max said. Fran was excited, she had always wanted to go, but her parents never could bring her.

Max made the reservations, he knew CC would not like having to oversee things next week, but she is owner of half of the company, it is Sheffield/Babcock Productions now. She would need to handle it.

Max and Fran recalled funny times when she was his nanny. They laughed about it. "remember, honey, when I hit Frank Jr. with a baguette?" "When you lost Liz Taylor's pearls?" Max said. "Oy, were you mad at me that time!' Fran said. "You chased me all over the house!" she said, laughing.

"It wasn't fun when you caught me!" she said. Max remembers. "I turned the table on you, didn't I?"" You sure did." Fran recalls. What about the time I ran into the room when Barbara's sister was performing?" Fran asked. "I remember when you washed Margo Lane's mole off of her face." Max said. "Oy, you scolded rough on that one." Fran said.

"Now that you're in a good mood, could I tell you what I have done?" Fran asked. Max wasn't sure if he would like hearing this. "Francine!" Max said. "Wait, you haven't heard it yet." she said. CC calls Max just as Fran was going to explain something.

"Maxwell, your wife may have cost us millions again!" she said. "Oy," Fran didn't like Max's expression. He didn't let her run either, he had her by her robe. By the time CC was through with Max, he had known the thing Fran was trying to tell him gently.

"CC, I will take care of it." Max said. He hangs up. "Fran, why?" he asked. "Oh, honey, I guess I am a magnet for these things." she said, biting her nails. The twins were watching videos in their room, Max scolds, "Fran, you are going to make this right, alright?" he asked. "Yes, Max, I will." she said.

"It will cost you two months allowance, if you don't." Max said. "Cmon, let's go eat supper." he said. "Oh, and you're not off the hook, Mrs..Sheffield." he said. Fran knew what he meant. She was hoping he would somehow forget, but knew not likely.

Max arranged for the backer to come to the house, and Fran apologized. Fran had run into this guy out shopping, and she didn't realize who he was until after the fact. She had called him some things, and then realized he was backing Max's play.

The backer wasn't angry anymore, and all was fine. He leaves, and Max tells Fran, "no harm done,but you're still getting a reminder later." he said. Fran pouted, but she was glad things were straightened out.

Dinner was good, and Max took them out for ice cream. When they arrived home, Fran tucks the twins in, and Max gives her a reminder, and they go to sleep.

Max finishes out the week, and prepares for the week off he will have with his family. The week passes quickly, and it was time for their trip to Disney world. Everyone was excited.

After the plane ride, they check into the hotel, and rest for the first day. The next day was filled with rides, shows, walking, and fun. When they would be tired, they would go and rest in the hotel, and then go for more fun. Max enjoyed having time off of work.

Max won some prizes for the kids and Fran. Fran enjoyed watching Max relax with them. The corned dogs were the best, and cotton candy to. Being together, sharing the fun and laughs was what made life worth while.

The week went fast, and it was time to return home. Max promised Fran he would cut back on his work load to be with her and the twins. He kept his word, and Fran knew it all came with being a producer's wife.
