Complications With the Baby

One morning, Fran and Max wake up together,

Max: Good Morning, Fran? How are you doing?

Fran: Good Morning sweetie. Honey, I think there’s something wrong here? Max, Wake up!!

Max wakes up and sees Fran crying..

Max: Darling, what’s wrong? Are you ok? Is the baby ok?

Fran: I’m not sure. Max, I think I’m having some pain, or the pain is getting worse.

Max: Darling, have a seat on the couch and I’ll call the doctor and find out what we can do. I’ll hold you and hold in my arms.

Max lets go of Fran and walk into his office and he calls Dr. Reynolds to find out what he can do to help his wife.

Max: Dr. Reynolds. It’s Max. My wife is having some pain. Is there anything that I can do to help her.

Dr. Reynolds: Well, Mr. Sheffield. We can keep her here in the

hospital overnight and see what happens .

Max and Fran decide to go to the hospital and they go into a room

and wait for Dr. Reynolds to come in.

Max: I think that’s a good idea Fran, I think you should stay here

overnight and see what happens. Everything will be ok.

Fran: Max, honey, I need you here with me. I’m scared. Please

stay with me and cuddle.

Max: Dr. Reynolds? Can I stay here with my wife?

Dr. Reynolds: Only for a little bit. We have to do some

testing and see why there are complications with the baby.

Fran yelling for Max to be with her.

Fran: Honey, I need you to be by my side.

Max: Sweetheart. I’ll be here when you return. They will take good care of you.

Max takes out his cell phone and calls home and Niles answers.

Niles: Hello. Sheffield Residents. Nile’s speaking. Who am I speaking to?

Max: Niles, it’s Max. The reason that I called you, it’s about Fran.

She’s getting some testing done and we have to find out what’s wrong with the baby.

Niles: Good luck, sir. I hope she will be ok. Sir.

Max: me too Niles.

Dr. Reynolds is talking to Max & Fran.

Dr. Reynolds: Fran, the reason your having some pain is that you’re having Braxton hicks contractions.

Fran: Max, did you hear the what the doctor said?

Max: yes I did. Sweetheart. You can squeeze my hand anytime you feel the pain. Darling, let go of my hand now. Has the pain stopped yet?

Fran: No… Max, it really hurts. Can you make the pain stop

Fran is crying because the pain is worse and Max doesn’t understand why she’s in a lot of pain.

Max: Dr. Reynolds, Can we give Fran something for the pain??

Dr. Reynolds: I can give her some tea to help the pain.

Max: Darling, I really have to go home and tell the kids what

happen to you.

Max comes home and everyone wants to know how Fran is doing.

Max: Gracie? Brighton? Maggie? Can you come down please? I need to tell you about Fran.

Gracie, Brighton and Maggie come down the stairs and they ask

about Fran:

Maggie: Is Fran ok? Where is she?

Brighton: Is Fran alright? Is she in any kind of trouble?

Gracie: Where’s Fran?? Daddy, please tell me where she is?

Max tell the kids what happened.

Max: Maggie, Brighton and Gracie, Fran was having some complications with the baby. She’s at the hospital and Dr. Reynolds had said that Fran was having Braxton Hicks contractions. Fran wanted me to be with her during the pain..

She will be fine. We could see her in the morning.

C.C: Hello Maxwell, Where’s Fran at?

Max: Well, C.C. I had to take Fran to the hospital because

She was having some pain. The reason why she was having

pain is that she was having Braxton Hicks contractions

and they were so painful for her and she didn’t me to leave

her side.

C.C: When will she be home?

Max: I have to go and get her right now. After she returns home,

You be nice and treat her with respect. I might have to dissolve our partnership.

C.C: ok, ok Maxwell, I will be nice.

Max comes home with Fran and she is to relax from being in the

hospital. Dr. Reynolds calls the house and orders Fran to not

move around to much.

Dr. Reynolds: Fran, you should rest for a while and have Max

help you with anything you need.

Fran: Ok, Dr. Reynolds.

Max and Fran come home. Max carries Fran over to the couch.

Max: Fran, don’t get up. Call me or Niles if you need something.

Fran: But Max?

Max: No. Buts. I want you on that couch.

Fran: You’re a good husband. I love you.

C.C. walks over to the couch and she asks Fran what she can do

To help Fran.

C.C: Nanny fine, is there anything I can do to help?

Fran: Yes, you can. You can get Maxwell and tell him to

get my suitcase.

C.C: Why?

Fran: I think my water just broke.
