Fran opened the front door knowing she had to get the letter from Mr. Sheffield’s office before he did. But she didn’t feel like doing that so she just sat on the couch, and cried.
At that moment, Mr. Sheffield came in through the front door. He saw Miss Fine…Fran sitting on the couch. He walked over to her and sat across from her.
“Miss Fine? What’s wrong? I can see tears running down your cheeks.” Mr. Sheffield said.
“Oh, Mr. Sheffield!” Fran said startled. “Um, there’s a note on your desk that’ll explain everything.” She really didn’t care if he saw it. She knew it would’ve come up in the future anyhow.
“Miss Fine….Fran, I already saw the note, the only reason I acted calm when I came in is because, I wasn’t sure if it was you or a ghost sitting here on the couch.”
“Really?”
Max had a bemused smile on his face from her answer.
“Look….Max, I know now and always have known that I could never leave the kids, Niles, even Ms. Babcock, and most of all you. I love you too much to hurt you. But I was sick of waiting and when Nigel proposed, it was like I was going to be apart of the Sheffield family. Only the wrong part of the family.” Fran said all this in two breaths.
“Fran, I love you, will you marry me?” Max asked Fran, because he couldn’t hold it in any longer. He loved her and wanted to be with her so much.
“What?!?” Fran said in astonishment.
“Will you marry me, Fran?”
“I will.” She said in pure happiness.
He then lifted her up and twirled her around kissed her passionately.
Like all couples who are in love, but not all couples have a love like theirs.
The End
