Elizabeth Sheffield's Past and Future Marriages

It was a day like any other at the Sheffield Estate in London. Where Mother Sheffield lived for almost 45 years. She was once married to a handsome rich man (which is only the kind of man she thrived on). She had three beautiful children you could love at any minute. But with her life she never acted as though she actually loved them. She just wasn't ready to be a mother or a wife for that matter.

But her first marriage made her feel ugly. With James Sheffield she just settled into the high society life. There was never any love, there was only a fling to which she got knocked up. That was the only reason and great sex that James Sheffield married Elizabeth Grayhound. But with great sex comes more babies and more reason to stay together.

At one time, Elizabeth was in love with James but, her snob friends made her think it was all about the money. And all that stuff rubbed off on her making her a woman who never would know true love. Even if it bit her in the ass. All she would ever know is money and that blue bloods and blue collars don't mix.

Her first son proved her wrong when he married two beautiful woman that he loved deeply. Mother Sheffield kind of liked Sarah, but didn't show it. She would watch how Sarah took care of Maxwell. And how she loved him for him and not his damn money. That love created three beautiful babies. It may be hard to believe but Elizabeth envied Sarah and Maxwell's life of love and family. She wished she had that life where you can have joyous moments and be happy. Instead of having money and alcohol.

She also envied Nigel's life of free living and not having a care in the world. Just going out and exploring. She would have loved having that abandon on life. But somehow that snobbishness came out instead of a happy life.

Jocelyn had married her Chauffeur and was deliriously happy. She wished he hadn't of drove some of her other boyfriends away but somehow Elizabeth knew Lester was the one for her baby doll girl. Mother Sheffield knew her heart wasn't going to be broken.

She then stopped remembering as her 'Chauffeur' came in. She truly did love him. He was gentle and kind and all the things you could possibly hope for in a man. But she did not expect what Jean-Luc was going to do next.

He kneeled down on one knee, popped open a box and said, "Elizabeth, darling I Love You, and I want you to be my wife please say yes."

She looked at the diamond ring on her left hand. It wasn't too big, it wasn't to small, it was just perfect. But she needed time to think.

So she then ran away and hid in her room. She thought about her old life and if she said yes her new one.

She thought about Maxwell and Sarah. Then Sarah's death and how hard it hit her. That's why she didn't go to Sarah's funeral. Then how a lady named Fran Fine came into Maxwell's life and stole his heart. How she brought life and smiles back into her son and grandchildren's life. She knew her son was completely in love with this Fran lady. And she herself did like her but, was not about to show it. It took five years but, Fran Fine finally made that family whole and Elizabeth's dream come true. Elizabeth wanted her son's life to be filled with laughter and joy. She also wanted that for her grandchildren and boy did that happen.

Maxwell and Fran have now been married for two years and living in California. The happiness in her Maxwell's life made her so happy but, whenever she saw that she would automatically think. "This woman is gonna tear them apart. Leaving him sad and alone and the children are going to grow apart from each other and their father."

But then she realizes that will never happen that happen because she knows that family has only gotten closer with Fran around. The vows said "til death do you part." And for Max and Fran that won't even get them apart.

Elizabeth's first marriage might have been a sham but this may be the one. She then gets up off her bed and goes looking for Jean-Luc.

She finds him in the foyer looking out the window. "Jean-Luc?" He turns around and sees her with the most engaging smile he's ever seen a woman wear. She suprised herself when she smiled but she was in love. "I love you too. And yes I'll marry you."

He then picked her up and swung her around but, of course not to fast. For she was an old woman. She was deeply in loved.

A month later she vowed her undying love to this man forever. With her family right there.

Maxwell, Fran, Maggie, Gracie, Brighton, Jonah, Eve, and even Niles and CC. Also Jocelyn, Lester, and Nigel. And to everyone suprise except Elizabeth's and Jean-Luc's. There sat James and Joan Sheffield.

The ceremony was beautiful. There was only family around but it was still beautiful.

At the reception, Elizabeth took Fran and Maxwell, Jocelyn and Lester, and Nigel aside and said, "I'm sorry for everything and I hope you can forgive me. Fran, Maxwell, I'm sorry for how I've treated you in the past and....."

Fran gently took her hand and said, "All is forgiven." And then hugged her. Maxwell then hugged her also. Followed by Jocelyn, Lester and Nigel. And then to her suprise they said, "I Love You!"

She then exclaimed, "I love you too."

And she was so very happy for the rest of her days. With visits from her children and her grandchildren. And Fran has even become her best friend. Imagine that.
