After all, the Sultan was a little bit jealous…

Far Away For Far Too Long

The clock marked 6am.

Fran looked through the window waiting for the sunrise.

She knew he was in the other side of the ocean looking to the sky right now.

Two years had been passed since he came to Kooristan to pick her up, but the Sultan had kept him and Gracie in custody and threatened them to death if she didn't stay in the palace.

It was like taking her hearth out of her chest!

Unfortunately, she decided to stay and the Sultan agreed in let Mr. Sheffield and Gracie get back to the US.

- My God! It has been that long already? Two years?

She opened the veranda and took a deep breath. Tears start to form in her eyes.

- I still love him… So very much!

In Manhattan, Maxwell paced in his room talking on the phone.

- I don't care how much it costs. I need to get back there immediately!

His tone of voice was not for kidding. He was planning to go back to Kooristan and rescue the love of his life.

Niles and CC got married last year and they already had a daughter of their own, Samantha Butler.

They were very happy, but still sad for Max and Fran. Brighton had graduated from high school and was interested in Harvard. Maggie got married and her husband was a successful lawyer and wealthy as well. Gracie was a little bit depressed about Fran. Fran was like a mother to her and now she had to be in that awful place with the Sultan and his son.

- CC, I'm worried about Max. What if he can't get out of there alive?

- Don't worry baby, I'm sure he's got everything under control.

- I don't know… For God's sake they are my best friends and it's killing me to see all this…

- I know sweetie, I know.

Niles went back to his duty but he couldn't have any work done. He kept thinking and thinking about a way to rescue Miss Fine from the claws of that Sultan. Suddenly he stopped.

He had one idea and that couldn't fail. He ran to the master room to tell Max the news…

- Sir, we have to talk right now!

- What is it old man? I'm not in the mood for arguing right now!

- No sir. It's just that I think I found a way to get Fran out of that country.

- Spill it!

- Well sir, I know the butler of the palace and I think he may help us with this. I'll call him right now if you want.

Max started to pacing in the room until he decided:

- Do it!

- Yes Sir.

Niles went to the living room and started to dial the number of his friend.

- Hello, Mohamed? It's Niles Butler.

- Hi Niles! How are you?

- I'm fine thanks, but my boss is not. I need you to do me a big favour.

- Of course! Anything for a butler.

- You know Miss Fine right?

- The American lady? Of course I know her. She's my best friend! What do you need?

- I need your help to get her out of the palace! My boss is going to pick her up at the airport.

- That's very dangerous my friend. But I will help you!

- My boss is going to Kooristan in two days…

- Good! The Sultan has a flight to Argentina tomorrow morning, so I'll get her ready until then.

- Thank you my good friend! Thank you so much!

- You're welcome Niles! I'll go tell Miss Fine the news!

- Okay then. Bye!

- Bye!

Max heard the conversation in his room trough the master room phone and he was very happy to know about that. He started to pack his bag and called the air company to get the next flight to Kooristan!

He knew he would arrive there in the afternoon so the Sultan hadn't a chance to find him in the palace.

Niles beamed from ear to ear with this and ran to tell CC.

In Fran's room, Mohamed had already told her the good news and she hugged him.

- My God! He's coming to pick me up! He really loves me!

- He sure does! And do you love him?

- More than anything in the all wide world!

Fran looked trough the window and prayed that he would tell her he loves her!

Max was in the plain… Flying to Kooristan with two purposes in his heart! One: Rescue Fran! Two: Tell her she means the Universe to him!

He arrived at the palace precisely at 2pm and disguise himself as the Sultan.

Everybody kneeled and kissed his ring until he get there!

Mohamed recognised him immediately.

- Come sir. Right this way! She's in her room packing her belongings.

- Thanks old man!

Max nervously knocked on the door and heard footsteps…

Fran opened the door and she found herself looking into those green pools that she loved so damn much!

Max felt his heart beat go faster and faster…

- Hi Fran!

- Hi Mr. Sheffield! Get in. They can't see us here!

Max, as Fran closed the door and turned to face him, gained the strength and the confidence to finally say those three fabulous words…

- I missed you, Fran!

- I missed you too Max!

- Fran, I love you! I love you so much it hurts!

Fran was in awe for those words!

She didn't say a word, instead she kissed him with all her heart and soul in that kiss!

"Wow! I forgot how she is an hell of a kisser!" Max thought. He knew that the kiss was leading them to indulge their love and a few seconds later they were in her bed only with their underwear.

- I love you too Maxwell Sheffield. With all my heart and all my soul.- Fran was now crying and Max hugged her and kissed her tears.

He started to undress her and gasped at how beautiful she was.

He kissed her one more time and gave himself to her.

Fran and Max indulged their love and fall asleep in each others arms.

Mohammed went to awake the now happy couple. The plane was waiting for them and ready to leave.

- Thank you so much Mohammed, for everything. We'll never forget you!

- Your very welcome sir. I'm going to miss you Miss Fine.

- Oh Mohammed! You and Niles are the best friends I have. I will never forget you.

- Neither will I Miss Fine. Well, time to go my friends. Goodbye!- and with that, Mohammed went back to the palace.

Max looked at Fran and kissed her.

- Let's go home shall we?

- Yes, Max. Let's go!

Max was the entire trip back to New York looking at his girlfriend.

She was so beautiful. How stupid he had been denying the woman he loved for so much time. He looked through the window and saw the NY airport.

- Wake up darling.

- Max… Are we there yet?

- We've just arrived to the airport sweetheart.

- Oh… ok! I love you baby.

- I love you too Fran!

They arrived at the mansion and when Niles saw Fran, he almost passed out!

- Oh My God! Is… Is that really you?

- Oh puh…lea…ze! Who else would have these adenoids? Hmm?

They laugh about it and Niles rushed to hug his friend.

They kept talking about the 2 years that had been passed and Fran thought about how she missed the kids so much.

Max didn't let go of her hand.

- Fran, I need to talk to you upstairs ok?

- Ok Max.

They went to the master bedroom and Maxwell closed and locked the door. Then he turned to Fran who was sitting on his bed.

- Fran, I want to ask you something…

- Okay, go ahead!

- I… I want to know if you… If you…- He was getting nervous by the second.

- What honey?

- Would you give me the honour to be by my side for the rest of your life?- He finally asked holding a little box on his hand.

- OMG! Maxwell! I… I…- Fran was speechless, but she smiled and nodded.

- Will you?

- Y… YES! Yes Max, I will marry you! OMG!

- I love you so much Fran Fine.

Fran hugged him and kissed him like she never kissed anybody like that before.

He laid her on his bed and they made love until the late hours of the morning.

Fran was with her head in Max's arms and her hand on his chest.

- Max?

- Yes darling?

- We've been away for far away haven't we?

- Indeed we have. But now we are together aren't we?

- Yes we are Max. I will not leave you anymore honey!

- And I will never let you go Fran!

They kissed.

On the radio, they could hear the famous ballad of Nickelback: Far Away!
