"Ms.Fine." Max said, " We have another shot with Jack Walker, and this time, don't blow it for me." he said. "Mr.Sheffield, you know this is a soft spot with me." Fran said."A soft spot, Ms.Fine?" "He pinches me." she said. Max laughs, "He may have pinched you, Ms.Fine, but it paled it comparison to the reaming out you recieved for the last fiasco with this child actor." he said.
"Oh, don't remind me," Fran said. "You never let it go, and I couldn't stay out of trouble with you that week, either." she said, while remembering. "Well, Ms.Fine, it will be much worse if you blow it this time."Max said.
"Oy, well what do I gotta do this time?" she asked. "Jack is going to play the lead in my new show, "Oliver, A new Beginning." "This time, he won't be able to get out of his contract, his show has finally cancelled, and he needs the work."
"Ms.Fine, you will look after him, and make sure he keeps up with his schooling while here." he said. "Oh, do I hafta?" she asks. "Yes, Ms.Fine, for two weeks." Max said. "Alright, but if he pinches me, I am going to smack him." she said as she leaves. "Oh, when does this start?" Fran asked. "Tomorrow, Ms.Fine." Max said. "You're not going to smack my child actor." Max warned. "Well, he had better not pinch me." Fran said.
It was supper time, and Max contiues talking with Fran. "Ms.Fine, there is no use whining about it, you're doing this." Max said. Maggie asks,"Not the obnoxious Jack again?" "Margeret, quite enough," Max said.
"Fran, are we still going to the mall tomorrow?" Fran forgot, "Oh, yes, sweety, we're on for shopping." she said. "Ms.Fine, no you are not." "You will have Jack with you by then." he said. "Daddy, she is our Nanny." Maggie screamed. "She doesn't belong to Jack." she added. "Margeret, you will not use that tone with me, now go to your room." Max said.
"Mr.Sheffield, She has a point." Fran said. "Ms.Fine, don't you start to." he said. "Not another word, you start tomorrow with Jack." he said. "Fine!" she said, and she storms out. Max follows her , "Ms.Fine, you are acting like Margeret." he said.
Fran doesn't say anything, she turns on the tv and ignores him. "Ms.Fine, stop it." he said. He turns the tv off. "Do I need to send you to your room as well?" he asked. "No, Mr.Sheffield." "Besides, I won't go." she said., almost daringly. "What?" Max asked. He starts to chase her, she runs up the stairs and goes to her room.
A couple of hours later, she comes down. "Niles, is the coast clear?" she asks. "All clear, Ms.Fine." he said. She goes to the kitchen for a snack. She begins preparing her snack, and in walks Max. "Oh, there you are, Ms.Fine." "Is your tone better?" he asked. "No, I am still angry with you." she pouts.
"Ms.Fine, sit down, we will chat, shall we?" he asks. "Alright." she agrees. "Ms.Fine, this is an opportunity for us both. You cost me millions last time, and now we have a chance to redo." he said. "I promise, when this is over, you can have a bonus, and all the shopping you want, but for now, we have work to do." he said.
"I am sorry, Mr.Sheffield, I will cooperate."she said. "Well, you don't have a choice, I am your boss." he said. They both laugh. Fran starts to go out the door. "Ms.Fine, where are you going?" he asked. "Val and I are going out for a couple of hours." "No, Ms.Fine." You need to be ready for tomorrow." he said. "Wow, Mr.Sheffield, you sure know how to take the fun out of things." she said. "Ms.Fine, don't start another arguement." he warns. Val rings the door bell. Fran lets her in. "Val, I can't go anywhere, Mr.Sheffield said no." she said. "No problem, why don't we talk in your room?" Val suggested.
"I don't know, Val, ask Mr. King over there." Fran said sarcastically. Max raised his eyebrows. "Ms.Fine, come here." he said. She does. "Behave yourself." he said. "Come on, Val, let's go to my room, I don't like it down here." she said.
"Ms.Toriello, perhaps you can come back when Ms.Fine is behaving." he said. Val leaves, "bye, Fran."she said while leaving. "I can't believe you said and did that!" Fran said.
Max had had enough. "Ms.Fine, you are not watching your tone, and now I am annoyed." "Go get some sleep, and be ready for 9 am sharp." he said. "I'm not tired!" she said. "Go!" he said. "No!" she said back to him. He chases her again, and she runs up the stairs.
"Slavedriver!" Fran said when she enters her room. "Ms.Fine, you calm down and apologize, I will be downstairs waiting." he said. "I am sorry, Mr.Sheffield." she said while behind her door.
"Alright,Ms.Fine, I will se you in the morning, don't be late." he said. Fran waits until he goes to bed, and she sneaks downstairs and has Niles drive her to Val's. "Mr.Sheffield will kill us both, Ms.Fine." he said. "Niles, I need to see Val." "He won't know I am gone." she said. "Ms.Fine, how many schemes have you really gotten away with?" Niles asked. "Niles, drive, we can have 20 questions later." she said.
Niles drops her off," remember, Ms.Fine, call me when you are ready to come home." he said.
Niles high tales it back to the house. Val and Fran have a good time talking and laughing. Fran forgot about the time. She then realized," o, Val, it is one in the morning. I gotta get home." A knock on the door, and it's Max. Val answers, and she tries to cover for Fran, but Max knows she is there. "Save it, Ms.Toriello, I know she is here.
"Ms.Fine, come out from where you are hiding." he said. Fran knew she was had, she comes out. "Hi, Mr.Sheffield?" she questions.
"Get your coat, we are going home." he said. "Bye,Val." she said. Max reams her out in the limo. "Ms.Fine, why do you consitently go against me?" "I am your employer, but I am also a friend, right? "You stay in trouble with me, and you want to do things your way, I have to draw the line." he said.
"How did you know I was gone?" she asked. "I couldn't sleep, and Niles told me, because I told him to tell me." Max said. "Unlike you, Niles will listen to me." he said. I went to apologize to you, and you weren't in your room." he said. "We are getting some sleep, and tomorrow, you be ready, Ms.Fine." he said.
The next morning, Max and Fran were sleepy, but it was morning, and time for Jack's arrival. The kids left for school, and Jack arrives. "Hello, Jack, Fran said."Hi, Fran!" he said, trying to pinch her, but she moves."Oh, no, not the pinching." she scolds. Jack shakes hands with Max. "No hard feelings from last time?" he asked. "No, Jack, this time is different." Max said.
"good." Jack said. "I am tired from the trip, I think I would like to rest a while." Jack said. "Sure, Jack." "Niles, show Jack to his room." Max said. Niles does, and gets a $100 tip again. "Oh, glad to have you back, sir." Niles said.
"What a suck up." Fran said. "Ms.Fine, make sure you keep an eye on our star." Max said. max had scolded Fran all morning for her escapades the night before. "Yes, sir, Mr. Olgre, I mean, Sheffield." she said, as she makes a run for it.
"See to it you do, Ms.Fine." Max said. All goes well, the first week runs smoothly, but the next week is another story. "Mr.Sheffield, I can't find Jack!" Fran said. "He isn't in his room, or anywhere." she said. Niles comes in, "he left this note." he said. The note read," Sorry, again. but I am just not into the Oliver story." I am off to meet with my agent. " signed Jack Walker."
Max is livid. "Ms.Fine!" "You were supposed to look after him!" he said."It isn't my fault this time, Mr.Sheffield." Fran said. "Oh, yes, it is somehow, and when I find out," he stops. "Oy," Fran said.CC comes in with Jack. "I caught him making a break for it, Maxwell." she said.
"Young man, what possessed you to pull this stunt?" Max asked. " Well, Fran was telling of her running off to her friend's last night, and I thought I would get out of here a while." he said. Fran tries to sneak out. "Ms.Fine, freeze." Max said.
CC is yelling, Max is yelling, Niles and Fran want to gide, but are stuck in the middle. "Jack, stay in your room until our next show," Max said. "Niles, make sure he has what he needs.""Ms.Fine!" "I am not done with you." Max said. He reams her out for a while. "Go and watch the boy!" Max said.
Fran stays on her toes the rest of the week, and she is glad it's over. The show was a hit, and Jack's parents came for him. "Ms.Fine!" "there are times when he will come back, and when he does, you will watch him." Max said.
"Here's your bonus, now go have a fun day." he said. Fran was happy, kissed him, and went on. Max was happy she kissed him.
