A continuation of "Me and Mrs. Joan" by Stephanie (sszada@luna.cas.usf.edu) "Me & Mrs. Joan" ended kinda up in the air. I'll describe the scene, so everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about here. Fran and Max are back outside (do they look like they're dating or is *just* me?) the gallery that the episode started at. Well, when Max saw his father, as a (final) way of avoiding dad, he kissed Fran. So there at the end, Fran said she saw his father in the gallery again. Well, Max noticed it wasn't dear old dad after all. The scene ended with them still embraced. Here's what I have as an ending (or not so ending). Fran: Oh you know you liked it. (With his usual nervous uncomfortable shuffle, he motions for them to continue walking. They proceed to walk down the street.) Max: You know Ms. Fine, I don't think I'll ever get along with my father again. I mean, I just can't get past all the hurt, the pain...the disappointment. Fran: (putting a consoling hand on his arm) I understand...I should have never set that dinner up. I just wanted you and your father to speak again, I know that that's what you want. Max: But I'm learning sometimes you don't always get what you want. (Fran kinda frowns. Upon spotting a hot dog vendor...) Max: How about a hot dog? Fran: Only one? (Max chuckles as they approach the vendor. After Max pays for them, they continue on.) Max: Oh look, Ms. Fine, there's your mother. Fran: (about to take a bite out of her hot dog, hears this, throws the hot dog down, and grabs Max and kisses him.) Not the best, but I just had to draw a parallel there!!!
