"Niles, Maxwell wants his tea!" CC orders as she strolls into the kitchen. Hearing no response, she sees movement at the corner of her eye. There was Niles in a liplock with Nanny Fine.

"What the hell is going on here?!" she demands.

Niles pulls away from Nanny Fine, totally ignoring Miss Babcock.

"Wow, Niles that was some kiss," Fran says as she fans herself with her hand. "It’s a good thing we are friends Mister or you would end up in my dreams tonight, Who-ha!"

Niles chuckles and finally acknowledges Miss Babcock, who was glaring at them.

"Oh, what are you doing here? I thought roaches run and hide when the lights are turned on."

"Hi Miss Babcock!" Fran smiles.

"Why were you kissing Niles, did you lose a bet?" She asks with her hands on her hips still glaring at them.

"No, of course not. The Butler Association is having a Charity Carnival for underprivileged kids and Niles is in charge of the kissing booth. I won’t be able to go tomorrow on account of Ma wanting me to come over and help her with her spring cleaning. I have to rotate the plastic covers on all the furniture," Fran explains as she touches up her lipstick.

"Ha! Him? In a kissing booth! The poor kids won’t make a dime!" CC laughs.

The doorbell rings before Niles could reply.

"Oh, that’s Val. She has got to try this!" Fran shrieks and runs to the door followed by Niles.

Niles opens the door and lets Val in.

"Val, do you have $5?" Fran asks her excitedly.

"Why, is there a girl scout behind me selling those mint cookies?" Val wonders turning around to look.

"No, go give it to Niles," Fran says pushing Val towards Niles.

"Okay," Val hands Niles the money.

"Now kiss him," Fran says pushing Val again.

"Kiss Niles? Okay," Val always wanted to kiss the handsome butler, but never had the chance until now.

Niles bends down and places his lips on Val’s. With his lips pressing softly against hers, he deepens the kiss a little, leaving Val gasping.

"Thank you, Miss Toriello," Niles grins as he puts the money in his breast pocket.

Val just nods and stumbles a little as she walks away. Still looking at Niles with a stunned expression on her face, she mumbles to Fran, "Thanks Fran, I had a lovely time," and walks out the door in a daze.

"Val! Val! Where are you going, we’re suppose to go to the movies?! I told you he was some kisser," Fran turns towards CC before running after Val.

CC stood there, not knowing what to think. Was this another one of Niles’ schemes to make her look foolish. But Val was too stupid to act that good. And as always CC had to know for sure. She whips out a twenty from out of her purse not having anything smaller and hands it to Niles.

"Okay Rochester, I’ll bite."

"I always knew you liked it rough," pans Niles and takes the money. Then quick as a flash his arm encircles CC’s waist and pulls her roughly against himself. Surprised at the sudden move, CC lets herself be pulled in. Niles’ eyes wander for a second, admiring her face. He cupped her chin with his other hand, holding her face still while his mouth swooped to hers. His lips were firm and unyielding, but softened after a few moments and became probing and gentle. As abruptly as the kiss had begun, it ended. His hands fell away from her and he stepped back.

"Consider that one a freebie," Niles smiles trying to act cocky as he hands the money back to CC. Then attempts to walk away without CC seeing how shaken he was.

CC just stood there for a few moments transfixed. Then quietly walks to Maxwell’s office to try to work. The phone rings as she enters.

"Hello, yes she is right here, wait a moment please," Maxwell hands the phone to CC.

"Hello? Gigi, how are you? That’s good to hear. Tomorrow? Wait let me see if I can," CC covers the mouthpiece and turns towards Maxwell.

"Maxwell, will you need me to work tomorrow, it’s Saturday?"

"Just a little in the morning CC if you don’t mind," Maxwell answers.

"Gigi, tomorrow will be fine. Can you meet me here, I have to work in the morning? Sounds like fun, can’t wait. Okay, until then." CC hangs up the phone with a smile.

"Who's Gigi, CC?" Maxwell inquires.

"My cousin. She’s all better now. Remember a long time ago when I told you she needed a blood transfusion from me? Well, she is healthy as a horse now and coming to visit me tomorrow. I can’t wait for you to meet her. A lot of people say we look alike."

Niles comes in with the tea and overhears the last part of the conversation, "Oh no it looks like were in for an infestation. Sir, would you like me to fumigate tomorrow?"

"Niles!" Maxwell shakes his head at his butler.

"Sorry sir, just trying to be helpful."

"You can do that by getting a lobotomy," CC sneers.

"Shall I use the same doctor that performed your operation?" Niles answers back.

"Listen Pledge head….." CC snaps at Niles, but gets interrupted.

"Will you two stop it! You’re starting to give me a headache. I swear you are worst than the children," Maxwell bellows.

"Sorry sir," Niles gives CC one last scowl and begins to pour the tea. He hands a cup to Mr. Sheffield and then another one to CC. Their fingers touch during the exchange and both jump back as if burned. Niles walks quickly out of the room. CC staring at his retreating figure.

The rest of the day passes quietly as Niles hurriedly tries to finish all his chores. He looked forward to having part of the day off tomorrow. CC sat on the couch in the office, a pile of papers on her lap. Rereading the same sentence for the sixth time, CC gets annoyed with herself. It wasn’t that great of a kiss. Now concentrate and stop thinking about it. CC shakes her head of all thoughts of Niles and starts to read. Why would he give me back the money? She immediately starts thinking about the kiss again.

The next day the house is full of happy chatter. The children can’t wait to go to the Charity Carnival. The only part that could have made the day even better is if Fran could be there with them. Fran pouted as she ate the delicious Spanish omelette that Niles prepared. Niles smiled at his friend. He knew that she was feeling bad because she had to go to her mother’s that day instead of the Carnival. He pulls out a huge picnic basket full of goodies that would have made Yogi Bear salivate all the way from Jellystone Park.

"Who’s that for Niles?" Fran stares at the biggest picnic basket she has ever seen.

"For your mother. I arranged for your parents to have a romantic picnic lunch today. There’s even a portable television in here for Mr. Fine."

"Oh Niles! You are such a sweetheart!" Fran jumps up and hugs her friend. "Now I can go with everyone today! I’ve got to call Val and see if she wants to go too!" Fran practically skips out of the dining room only to return just as quickly to pick up her forgotten breakfast. "I wouldn’t want this to go to waste."

Niles laughs, happy that Fran wasn’t sad anymore.

The doorbell rings. Knowing who that could be, Niles walks to the door with mixed feelings.

"Hello, hello," CC greets as the door opens.

Niles stands there staring. There in front of him were two beautiful women, looking almost exactly alike except one was a blonde and the other a brunette.

"Niles, aren’t you going to let them in," Maxwell asks staring at his old friend. Turning towards the door, he looks at the women in shock also.

Both men step aside. CC makes the introductions.

"Maxwell I would like you to meet my cousin Gigi Babcock. Gigi this is Maxwell Sheffield, Broadway producer and my business partner."

"Hello Gigi. My goodness you two could be twins," Maxwell shakes her hand.

"Hello. So nice to meet you. CC has told me a lot about you." And then turning towards Niles she asks her cousin, "And this is?"

"Oh, him? That’s the butler, Niles," CC replies with distaste.

"Hello Niles, CC has told me a lot about you too," Gigi gives him a dazzling smile.

"A pleasure to meet you Miss Babcock," Niles smiles admiringly back. "But please don’t believe anything your cousin may have said about me when you can find out first hand," Niles says with a wink flirting with her.

"Oh, I can’t wait to do that," Gigi giggles. "Please call me Gigi."

CC stood there, smoke practically coming out of her ears, through this whole exchange. She’d forgotten how easily Gigi could make people fall in love with her. Now wishing that she told Gigi that she was busy today, CC just tapped her foot on the floor. "If you two are done exchanging pleasantries…Gigi, come on, let me show you the office."

Before Maxwell followed the women to the office, he and Niles exchanged a look of surprise at how much the women resembled each other.

Gigi sat there listening to CC and Maxwell talk for about an hour about which actress they should cast for the lead in their new play. She was generally impressed that her cousin was doing so well for herself. But mostly her thoughts were on the good looking butler.

Niles walks in with the tea. When his eyes alighted on Gigi, he reciprocated the appreciative look she gave him. CC stopped talking to Maxwell, noticing the exchange.

"Sir, I’ll be leaving in a few minutes. Is there anything else you require?"

"Is it that late already? I didn’t realize. No, Niles that will be all. Enjoy yourself," Maxwell winks knowing that Niles will be kissing many women today. "Miss Fine, the children and I will see you there soon. CC, would you and Gigi like to join us at the Charity Carnival, it is for underprivileged children?"

"Oh a carnival, that sounds like a lot of fun!" Gigi gushed.

"I thought you wanted to visit all the tourist traps today," CC scowled at her cousin.

"We could do that tomorrow. It’s been ages since I’ve had cotton candy. A carnival sounds like a marvelous idea. What will you be doing there Niles, escorting a date?"

Niles smiles, "No, I will be helping to raise money by manning the kissing booth."

"Oh really. I would love to donate money for such a good cause," Gigi replies fluttering her eyelashes at him.

"Then I’ll see you there!" Niles leaves so he could change his clothes. Not realizing that both women were admiring his backside as he made his way out.

Later.....

Maxwell, Fran, the children, Val, CC and Gigi made their way through the crowds of people attending the carnival. The children’s eyes were darting to all the different sights and sounds. Brighton and Gracie couldn’t wait to play the games so they could win a prize. Maggie went with them so she can check out the guys without her Dad around.

"Oh, there he is!" Fran points excitedly to Niles as she spots him just finishing kissing an attractive auburn haired woman in her 40’s. There was a line of women waiting their turn. It looked like Niles was making good money, but she wanted to help him make a lot more. Fran starts to think of a crazy idea to help her friend out. Maxwell leaves abruptly as he spots Maggie talking to a boy in a leather jacket with matching pants. Fran pulls Val aside and starts whispering the plan to her. Gigi walks over to the line with CC walking reluctantly behind.

"Gigi, look they are selling cotton candy over there, let’s go get some," CC suggests.

"No, you go ahead. I want to make a worthwhile contribution first."

CC stays. Not looking forward to watching Niles kiss her cousin, but not being able to pull herself away either.

Eventually, Gigi gets her turn. Niles’ blue eyes twinkled appealingly as he spots her. "Hello Gigi."

"Hi Niles!" Gigi greets sweetly and quickly hands over a five dollar bill.

Niles grins and brings his lips enticingly close to hers. She hurriedly closes the distance, wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him eagerly. CC watches them, feeling like her heart was being stabbed repeatedly, she swallowed hard.

Then Gigi stepped aside and CC found herself standing in front of Niles. His right eyebrow going up with surprise to find her there. Not being able to take his sardonic look, CC starts to walk away. Niles catches her arm.

"Let me go, you troll," CC whispers harshly under her breath.

But Niles pulls her to him, staring at her closely. "You have little brown flecks in your eyes, I never noticed that before," he murmurs. "What’s wrong, Miss Babcock, you’re shaking?" Niles asks thinking that CC was very angry at him, but he was entirely wrong on that score. He reached up and stroked her cheek.

"Don’t," CC tells him and tries to pull away.

"Don’t what? You mean don’t do this…" and before she could stop him, he kissed her. The feel of his lips again on her own stirred all sorts of riotous feelings inside her. Dangerous feelings, warm, wooly, wanting feelings and she took a deep ragged breath in an effort to dismiss them. Or at least bury them. But he pressed his lips deeper and CC groaned at the touch. Warmth and softness and a beautiful feeling of pleasure enveloped her whole body. With a little mumbled sound of satisfaction she slid her arms to his neck, slipped her fingers into his thick hair and relaxed fully against him. His hands moved to her back, soothing her, as his mouth parted hers, his warm breath filled her mouth. It was beautiful, something special, an exchange, a promise almost, and when he broke the kiss, reluctantly it seemed, she gave a long sigh of pleasure and opened her eyes. Both of them stared silently at each other, everyone around them was forgotten.

Until they heard Gigi exclaim, "Wow, that was some kiss!"

CC pulled away from him then, threw the money down and hurriedly walked away. Gigi ran after her.

Niles stared after CC. He was confused. He didn’t know what came over him. It was like his body went into overdrive and his brain went neutral. He sighed with puzzlement and directed his attention to the lady next in line.

It was Fran. Niles looked at her, he knew she was up to something.

"Hi Niles! What is going on between you and Miss Babcock?"

Niles just shrugged his shoulders. He couldn’t understand it himself, let alone explain it to Fran.

"Well, kiss me and Val and play along," Fran whispers.

Niles looks at her in consternation and brings his face closer for a kiss. As soon as his lips pull away, Fran faints. Maxwell was walking over and hurriedly put his arms out to catch her as he saw her fall.

"Did you see that? His kiss made her faint," Val was telling the women behind her. She then pulls Niles to her, "Kiss me," and then afterwards she proceeds to faint. Maxwell quickly reached out and caught Val before she fell.

"Miss Fine! Miss Toriello!" Maxwell exclaims, trying to shake the women to consciousness.

The murmurs start to get louder in the line. A rush of women run to the line, wanting to feel Niles’ lethal kisses. Niles was kept very busy. And like a placebo, other women start to faint after being kissed.

Fran and Val pretend to be shaky as they get up. They exchange a wink and watch as the line to the kissing booth gets longer and longer.

"Mr. Sheffield, can I borrow your cell phone please," Fran asks a bewildered Maxwell. He hands it over, watching with amazement at the spectacle that was happening before his eyes. Women were falling all over and other people were fanning them, trying to wake them up.

"Hello, is this Channel 7 news? You better get over here to the Butler’s Association Charity Carnival quick! There are women fainting everywhere. No, it’s not that hot outside. There’s a man kissing them. Yes, kissing! Okay, you’re welcome," Fran hangs up with a very satisfied smile on her face. Mission accomplished.

And soon, reporters were arriving at the carnival, their cameras pointing at Niles. Niles took a 10 minute break. His pucker was pooped. Reporters were interviewing the fainting women, while others jostled each other to try to interview Niles.

CC walked around the carnival, not paying attention to anything. Not hearing her cousin yelling at her to wait up.

"CC!" Gigi finally catches up to her cousin and makes her stop, "CC, what’s wrong?"

"Oh, that man is infuriating!" CC practically yells.

"Who…Niles? What did he do wrong?"

"He kissed me!!" CC says clearly upset.

"And that’s bad….why? It looks like he really cares for you."

"Yeah, right," CC scoffs. "That man cannot stand me. He’s just playing with my mind again!"

"Are you for real? If that man hates you, I wonder how he would kiss you if he was in love with you!"

"You just don’t know him, that’s all. I’m telling you, that kiss meant nothing to him," CC explains to her cousin.

"And….what did that kiss mean to you?" Gigi had to ask.

"I…I don’t know," CC says confused. "I need to clear my head. Sorry Gi, I just need to be alone for awhile."

CC walks away and eventually ends up at the ferris wheel.

A few feet away at the kissing booth, Angela Chung, Channel 7’s star reporter, is interviewing Niles.

"What do you attribute to your power over these women?" she asks, staring adoringly at the handsome man with the very blue eyes and broad shoulders.

"I really don’t understand what’s going on," Niles answers in astonishment.

"In order for me to form an opinion for our viewing audience, could you kiss me too?" Angela Chung asks, handing him money.

Niles smiles obligingly and bends towards the exotic woman before him. She brings her face closer to him, eagerly awaiting his touch. Niles completed the descent, his mouth just barely touching hers. She closed her eyes and pulled him closer, her mouth clung warmly to his. He tried to move away, but she wouldn’t let him. Niles had to finally disentangle himself from her grasp. The camera caught it all. Angela stood there in a stupor.

CC took a seat on the ferris wheel, just as the attendant was about to close the seat’s gate a man sat himself next to her. CC looked at him angrily, she wanted to be alone. But the man ignored the look and leered at her. Before she could tell the attendant that she wanted off, the ride started.

"Hey gorgeous! Why don’t you scoot a little closer to me so I can keep you safe."

"Jerk! Just stay on your side until the ride is over!"

The man then starts to rock the seat.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy or just stupid?!" CC screams at the man, as their seat is rocked harder and harder.

"I told you, come over here and you’ll be safe," he guffawed.

The smell of alcohol on his breath assailed CC’s senses. She was scared and held tightly to the bar next to her. This guy is going to get me killed. What am I going to do?

The man, too drunk to care about the danger, rocks the seat harder. CC screams as she loses her grip on the bar. Sliding out of the seat, she feels herself falling, at the last minute, she is able to grab the outside of the gate that was suppose to keep her in her seat.

Too scared to scream, CC holds on with all her strength. But the other people on the ride, see her and start screaming. The attendant turns off the ride. People from below are pointing up. More screams. CC shrieks at the drunk to help her, but he just sits there glued to his seat.

Niles stops his kissing as he hears all the screaming. He follows the people’s gazes and the hands pointing to the ferris wheel a few yards away. He looks up. Oh my god, a woman was dangling on the ferris wheel. His heart skips a beat when he recognizes that it was CC. Jumping easily over the booth, he runs quickly to the ferris wheel. He hears the siren of a fire truck in the distance. Without hesitation, he begins to climb up the wheel, all attention on each handhold and foothold. Skillfully, Niles climbs higher and higher up the wheel. Not looking down, but upward at the woman hanging precariously on the outside of the seat.

"Miss Babcock, hold on! Please, don’t let go!"

"Niles? Oh Niles, please hurry, I’m getting so tired!"

With every second, Niles comes closer and closer. She was just three feet away, when the wheel starts to turn, slamming his body down hard on the metal bars.

"Niles!" CC screams, using the last of her strength to hold on.

The attendant thinking that he was helping, was trying to get her closer to the ground. A fireman rushed over and immediately pushed the STOP button.

"Miss Babcock, I’m right here. I’m right here," Niles says soothingly as he finally reaches her. Using one of his hands to push her up from behind, she was able to swing her leg in and get a firmer hold. Then she slowly made her way inside the seat. The drunk just sat there, passed out.

"Niles? Niles, where are you?!" CC anxiously looks over and reaches her hand out to him.

His strength waning, Niles takes her hand and climbs aboard. He wraps his arms around her, the worry still etched on his face. She moved a little so she was sitting more on his lap, to give him room. Enjoying the strength of his arms around her body, she leans her head against his chest, both of them breathing heavy from the exertion.

"CC…I was so scared that I was going to lose you," Niles whispers in her ear and tightens his arms around her.

She turns to him and kisses him. The roar of applause and cheers interrupts them from taking it further. They feel the wheel shudder to a start as their seat makes its descent to the ground. CC and Niles wave down to everyone, assuring them that they were okay.

The paramedics promptly pull them out to examine them. Maxwell, Fran, and Gigi hovering nearby. Except for strained muscles, bruises and some cuts on their hands, Niles and CC were fine. They both refused further medical attention, just wanting to be left alone. Simultaneously their attention is drawn to the drunk as the police cuff him. Niles wants to beat him senseless. Trembling with anger at what he did to CC. Before he could act upon that thought, CC rushes over and kicks the drunk hard right between the legs. The man moans in agony and doubles over in pain.

The limousine pulls up and they all start to pile in. As Niles and CC are about to enter, one of the butlers calls over to Niles.

"Niles you did great! The kissing booth made tons of money and a lot of women are still waiting in line for you. Will you be back tomorrow?"

Before Niles could reply he feels a sharp stab on his side as CC elbows him. "Nope, my kissing booth days are over. I want my family jewels to stay intact!" he laughs as CC glares at him. And he bends down to kiss her scowl away. Succeeding very nicely. She pulls away from him and wants to know if he meant every word that that kiss conveyed. Still jealous, she asks him if he would rather be with her cousin.

"Gigi is very beautiful, CC. Great body. Gorgeous eyes. Sexy voice. She looks almost exactly like you, but she’s missing one important thing."

"What?"

"A box of Clairol’s Light and Easy Sungold blond hair dye," he teases.

"Oh, you! She punches him on the arm."

Niles laughs, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Come here woman," Niles’ voice deepens as he pulls her to his chest. His mouth warm and wet. CC needing more presses her lips harder on his.

"Owww!" Niles pulls away, his hand on his mouth.

"What’s wrong? I didn’t bite you Niles and don’t say that I did!"

"No, that’s not it! I kissed over two hundred women today. My lips hurt more than my bruised body!"

"Too bad, this is your punishment, take it like a man," and CC brings her arms around Niles’ neck and their kiss deepens oblivious to the stares of everyone.

Finally pulling away from each other, they look lovingly at each other, their eyes sending secret erotic messages to each other.

"Hate you," CC purrs.

"Hate you more," Niles replies back and pulls her into the limo, embracing her as the car speeds away. Leaving scores of crestfallen women to wonder what his kisses would have felt like.
