The real way fran and max got married:
About four years age two very different people from two very different worlds met on an island called Paradise. This island was magical and if you went there they would give you one wish.
The wish could be anything . . . even to fall in love. Fran was a beautiful brown haired typical woman, afraid to tell her true age and lived in Queens. Maxwell was the forty-one- year-old british man from London. Maxwell had three children with his late wife Sara.
However, the children did not attend the trip. Their names were Margret, Brighton, and Gracie. They
also traveled with Maxwell’s butler and business partner. His butler’s name was Niles and his
business partner’s name was C.C. They too were from London and hated each other so
much they would fight all day, every day. Recently they had moved to Manhattan, New York.
They, of course, live in a beautiful mansion while Sara stays in an apartment building in between
an old, brown, caddy shack of what’s supposed to be a coffee shop. No one even knew Fran before the trip. To get to the "magical" island they took a private jet.
On the island Maxwell spotted Fran off in the distance and noticed she was coming his way.
He thought, " Wow she’s beautiful!" He loved the way her curly, brown hair waved in the cool
summer breeze. He had never seen anyone with her light, olive toned skin. As she walked by him
he stopped her, smiled and said,
"Hello, my name is Mawell, what’s yours?"
"I’m Fran, nice to meet you . . . so, what brings you to this eye-opening island?"she says in a very nasal voice.
"Well, one, I needed some time for myself, and two, I get lonely at home even though my three
children are there . . .", she stops him in mid-sentence.
"Oh, your married, I’m sorry I didn’t see the ring before", she says disappointed, as she thinks
to herself . . .
"Wow he’s gorgeous, why didn’t I see that coming?"
"No, no, I’m not married." he puts his head down. "I’m widowed."
"Oh, I am so incredibly sorry!" she shrieked giving a little smirk.
They talked into the moonlight and dined at the finest restaurant on the island. The man that
welcomed them to the island’s name was Mr. Morty. He was the one who calculated the wishes
and knew that Maxwell and Fran’s wish was the same . . . to be together. By the end of the trip
they grew very close together and felt very strong feelings for each other. It was now time to
leave and if Maxwell hadn’t stopped Fran now their relationship would be over. As she got on
the plane he pulled her down and off to the side and asked her a life changing question . . .
"How would you like to, instead of going to your apartment, come and stay with me and my
children at my house as my . . .um . . .secretary?"
Before calling her family for permission, she blurted out . . ."Yes! I mean, um . . . sure, I would love to!"
Back in Manhattan, Fran met Maggie, brighton and Gracie and quickly fell in love with . . . them. She also grew accustomed to their lifestyle. The romantic feeling that Maxwell had for Fran on the
island seemed to disappear. He still made her laugh, but not the romantic laugh. Ever since they
got home he seemed to feel very unsure of many things. He never made her do anything
secretary-like for him. All she did was pick out his clothes, help him decide what envelopes to
use, and proofread his opening and closing statements. Fran still, after all that, felt very strong
feelings for him, but knew if she said anything he would deny his feelings for her. Fran overheard
Niles talking to Maxwell, over the speaker phone, about how he wasn’t ready for a commitment.
Four years later Fran met Maxwell’s "little" brother, Nigel, 33. Maxwell still showed no signs of wanting a commitment. He said he didn’t want to "hurt" the children. Even if Maggie was driving and Brighton was receiving his permit. So, naturally, Nigel asked the beautiful woman out.
This arrangement made Maxwell jealous, very jealous. They went out on about ten dates when
Nigel had to go back to London and wanted to take Fran with him to be his wife.
"Fran, I would love for you to join me in London, as my wife. Here is a boat ticket, the boat leaves at twelve o’clock, if you don’t come I’ll know your answer is no."
"Oh my gosh!" she yelled as he put a diamond necklace around her neck and kissed her hand.
"Good bye my love. I hope you make the decision you are comfortable with."
Fran was really shocked. She knew she loved Maxwell and knew she couldn’t live without
him, but she couldn’t wait any longer to be married. She wanted to be married before she turned
twenty-nine. Oh, alright, thirty-three. She had a very important decision to make and knew she
just couldn’t wait around for Maxwell to commit. So, she knew what she had to do. She didn’t
tell anyone she was leaving. She left a letter in everyone’s rooms and left for the boat. A day later
she and Nigel were married. That very same day she called Niles and told him she wouldn’t be
returning because she had gotten married.
"To whom?", he asked.
"I’ll tell you, but you have to promise not to say a word unless they ask you."
"I promise. You know me, I keep my secrets."
"Ok, then, it’s Nigel!"
"Maxwell’s brother Nigel?"
"Yea!"
"Fran are you trying to be funny? Where are you?"
"No, I’m serious! And I’m in London at Nigel and my new house. Are you not happy for me?"
"Of course I’m happy for you, it’s just . . ."
"What?"
"Well, it’s just that you know how Maxwell feels about you, he’ll be devastated, and then
what do you do, huh?"
"Well"
"You go marry his bloody brother!"
Niles hung the phone up after that argument. Fran knew he was right, but carried on her life
as a married woman.
A year later she and Nigel moved back to Manhattan. They stayed in, the Hyatt, the most
expensive hotel in the city. Fran had suspected that she may be pregnant, but never officially had
the time to find out. One day she left Nigel at home to do some clothes shopping. As she left her
hotel room she saw a leggy blonde sneak around the corner and go into her room. Simon was the
one who suggested she go shopping. He had done this more than once, but she never saw the
woman go into her room before. That’s when she new he was cheating on her. The leggy
blonde’s name was known to be Veronica. Nigel knew his wife saw Veronica go into their
room. He told Veronica he wanted to divorce Fran, but didn’t know how to get rid of her.
Veronica told Nigel not to worry and that she would take care of her. She said that when she
wants something to disappear it disappears for good. The next day Fran was home all by herself.
She heard a knock on the door, not a normal knock, but a heavy, break down the door, type of
knock. The door then fell to the ground and in stepped two very muscular men with about two
bags each. As they stormed through they screamed at Sara not to even pick up the phone to dial
the police or else there would be consequences. They were all out of sight when Fran tried to
pick up the phone. All of a sudden one of the men came up behind her and took her by the neck.
He started beating her to death. When the man thought she had enough he through her to the
ground where she lay unconscious. Just then Niles came in, he came for a surprise visit, and
found Fran lying on the ground. He quickly picked up the phone and dialed 911. They were there
before he knew it. As they drove her to the hospital she slipped into a coma. When Fran was in
her own hospital room and when she was stable Niles went to go get Maxwell and the children.
He told them that she had been robbed and beaten. He also found out from the doctor that she
was indeed pregnant. They were all very scared for her. He then told them that she and the baby
were going to be just fine. Although C.C despised Fran she was still glad she was going to
be ok. C.C and Niles had gotten married a year after Fran left so they were hugging each
other very tightly in fear of something going wrong, although they knew Fran was going to be
alright. As the whole family entered Fran’s hospital room they all gasped to see her in such
silence.
"She looks so helpless,"said Gracie.
"I know sweetheart, but the doctor says she will be fine." He winks letting Maggie know he
wants privacy.
"You know what, Dad, I think your right, um . . . I’m kinda hungry I’m gonna go get
something to eat."
"Ok."
"Come with me Brighton and Gracie, I might need your help." She says as she winks back at her father and
shuts the door behind her.
Once they left Maxwell started to speak with tears in his eyes.
"Oh, Fran, I know you cant really hear me right now, but I wish I could tell you in person, and
I’m sorry I have to tell you this way, but I cant live one more day without you, I miss you. I
need you . . ."
He pauses to catch his breath for a minute.
"Oh, Fran, I . . . I love you!"
At that moment she starts to wake up.
"I love you, too, Max!"
She says sounding like she had just gotten her tonsils out.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
She’s oblivious and doesn’t remember anything that happened. She thinks she’s ok, but she is very
unsure. Maxwell explains that he has missed her ever since she left. They were lost in each others
eyes. Fran now looks at him in a loving way knowing he loves her too. But quickly remembers
she is married and when the door slams open their eyes quickly unlock. In storm Niles and C.C.
"Fran!" They scream together.
"Are you ok?"
" Yes, I’m a little better, still quite weak though. Hey! Why is your arm around her waist?" When I left you were screaming at each other left and right!"
"Well, you missed a lot Fran."
"When you were in London we got married!’
"Wow, this is one small world!"
Just then Maggie, Brighton and Gracie come in amazed that she’s awake.
"Fran? Is that you?"
"Yes, it’s me, I missed you guys so much how are you?"
"We’re good, we’re just glad your ok!"
The both of them left the room and on the way out Jordan turned to her and said . . .
"Oh, yea and congratulations on the baby!"
Fran looked at him in a puzzled way.
"What? What are you talking about?"
"Fran, you’re pregnant."
"What, I can’t be, I don’t want to be, the baby wont have a father! I cant bring up a child without a father for it and a husband for me. I cant, I wont bring a child into the world like that, I just wont!"
"Fran! Fran! Calm down, everything will be fine. You can stay with us. The baby will have a good family and it will be brought up right.
"I . . .I can stay with you?"
"Of course, you can! We all love you! Who knows I think you might just find a new husband at our house." (Hint, hint)
The next year passed and Fran and Nigel got divorced. Then Fran married, her real true love,
Maxwell. They brought up her TWINS as he was their father and no one ever knew he wasn’t.
It just goes to show you that even two very different people from two very different worlds can fall in love.
