CC Babcock, what can we say about her? CC is the well known partner to Broadway Producer Maxwell Sheffield. CC was born February 2, 1962 on a cold winter night. Her mother was in labor with her for three days. Even sense she was born, she was stubborn. At least that is what her father says. CC was always his sweet innocent little girl until she hit puberty. She started not liking the usual stuff her father and her did. Like making snow angels in the winter and snowmen or getting ice cream on a hot summer day. She then started dating, her father and her then really got out of reach of each other. She then went off to college and then grew up to be the cold hearted person you know today.

CC was looking through some photo albums when she got home that night. She had just finished her resignation letter to Maxwell. She kept wondering why Niles wanted to marry her so badly. Everyone who got near her got hurt and she didn't want that to happen Niles. She was looking at some pictures of her family, friends, and others. She turned the page only to linger on a picture. Tears came to her eyes and they flowed freely down her cheeks. She traced the face in the picture and cried more. CC sat back and remembered that terrible day.

Year 1983

Rob Mckree was his name. Rob was tall, full head of dark hair, muscular, olive skin, and beautiful black eyes that would sparkle like diamonds when you looked into them. Rob was CC's boyfriend for three years now and they were so much in love. They talked about marriage but CC was waiting for a proper proposle. Ron looked up at CC during the graduation ceremony, sneeking looks every so seconds. They smiled at each other and CC turned back around. She couldn't believe she was actually graduating college finally. No more worries. Except to find that perfect job.

After the ceremony CC walked up to Rob and jumped in his arms and kissed him. He just laughed.

"I have finally graduated, I am so happy."

"I'm happy for you. Hey, why don't we celebrate tonight at The Blue Palm?"

"Ok, pick me up at eight."

"See ya then." Rob kissed her and they went their seperate ways.

Rob rung the doorbell of CC's apartment. CC moved out when she was eightteen. CC answered the door in a short black dress, matching purse and shoes, and her hair in big soft curls.

"Wow. You look great."

"Thank you."

"You ready?"

"Yes. Let's go." CC shut the door behind her and walked out to Rob's car.

Rob and CC were seated immediately at the resteraunt. Rob already had champagne there for them. Rob and CC had a wonderful dinner and were talking and drinking more champagne.

"CC, there is something we need to discuss."

"What's that?" asked CC smiling.

"Well, CC you know I love you and these past three years have been wonderful. I always said that I would never get married but when you meet the right person, you just want to spend the rest of your life with them. CC you make me feel that way. I love you. Will you marry me?" He pulled out a beautiful seven carot diamond in a blue velvet box.

"Yes!" Rob took the ring and slipped it on her finger. Soon CC and Rob were walking in the Park and CC was clutching his arm. She kept staring at the diamond. "Rob, I love you so much."

"I love you too." He kissed her forheard. CC and Rob were so distracted that they didn't see the man in black.

"Give me your wallet!" said the man pointing the gun at CC. CC screamed and Rob passed him his wallet and CC gave him her purse. He spotted the diamond. "Give me your ring!"

"No!" said Rob standing in front of CC.

"Fine. Go the hard way." He shot Rob and Rob fell. The man ran because he saw a cop pulling up. CC sank to the ground holding Rob in her arms sobbing. He was bleeding badly by the wound in his chest. CC was trying to hold it but it was no use. The blood kept pouring. The cop came up to her and asked her something but she didn't hear. Rob opened his eyes and looked at CC.

"Rob, don't worry everything will be all right."

"C.....C......I" Cough with blood coming out with it. "I....love......you.....so....much."

"No, don't! Your not going to die." Rob caressed her face and CC cried. Rob's eyes then closed and he went limp. CC sat there rocking him in her arms back and forth. It took three cops to pull her off of him and calmed down.

CC stayed with her parents for three months. In her room, talking to no one, and she didn't even go to his funeral. She couldn't bare it. Rob's parents came by and talked to her. CC tried to give the ring back but they told her to keep it. CC spent her days in her room. She then finally got herself together, (on the outside, on the inside she was dead), she made a promise to herself never to get close to anyone ever again.

Present time:

CC twisted the ring that was on her right hand. She never took it off except to put it on her right hand. She loved Rob and that was it. She would never love anyone else. At least that is what she thought. She then met Niles four years later after that night and fell in love instantly. Not at that moment but soon after that. She tried to ignore it but it was no use. She loved him. CC soon fell asleep and woke up on her couch. She shot up. She loved him! She loved Niles. Rob would want her to move on. She looked at her watch, it was eight o'clock. Could she make it in time.

CC rushed to the Sheffields and burst threw the doors. Fran was standing in the fore holding out a piece of paper and smiling. CC stopped suddenly, took the paper and looked at it. It had Niles flight plan on it.

"How did you know?" asked CC

"Because you love him. I knew you would be back." CC smiled and rushed out the door only to come back in and hug Fran.

"Thanks you." She then left and caught a cab to the airport. Niles flight left at nine o'clock. She arrived at five to nine and ran into the airport. CC arrived at the gate just to see his plan leaving. She touched the glass and a tear ran down her cheek.

"Goodbye Niles. I love you." CC turned around and sat in a chair. 'I guess I spend the rest of my life alone.' More tears ran down her cheeks.

"Wow, it's not everyday you see the ice queen melt." said a voice behind her. CC turned around and saw Niles smiling face. CC stood, shocked to see him.

"What are you doing here?" asked CC. Niles approached her slowly until he was soon almost nose to nose with her.

"Well, Fran called me to tell me not to get on the plan. That you had something important to tell me." Niles said smiling.

CC smiled. "I love you." Niles then pulled her into a kiss. They broke apart and walked out smiling. Driving away CC turned to Niles.

"I want to make one stop." They arrived at a cemetary and CC got out. She walked up to the grave that read Robbie David Mckree III. CC pulled off her ring and kissed it. She then took something out of her purse and dug a small, semi deep hole. She placed the ring in it and covered it up.

"I love you Rob but I can't on like this forever and I am sure you wouldn't want me too." CC walked back to the cab and to her new life. Remembering to thank Fran later.
