Fran walks up to Mr. Sheffield’s door, selling cosmetics. Niles answers the door, and assumes that Fran is there to fill out papers to become The Nanny. So I’m going to take it from her filling out papers with her red lipstick.
(In The Living Room)
Max = O.k. I guess this will be it, well I’ll call you if you got the job.
Fran = You are gonna call me right? Cause that’s what they all say and then you never get a phone call back
Max = If you got the job yes I will call you, but you will only need to be their temporary nanny
Fran = A temporary nanny?? Wouldn’t you just call that a babysitter??
Max = If that’s what you want to call it Miss. Fine, now if you don’t mind I have work to do, goodbye
Fran = Wow, you work to much, sit down, relax, smoke a cigar
Max = Thank you, but I have something called a job, which I need to get to if you don’t mind, you know I have a lot of work to do
Fran = Fine then, suite yourself, just trying to help, well bye
Max = Goodbye
(On the Phone at Sylvia’s House)
Fran = Hello?
Max = Hello is Fran Fine there?
Fran = Yeah this is me
Max = Hello Miss. Fine I just am calling to tell you that you got the job
Fran = Wow, when should I come over
Max = Well any time today, the sooner the better
Fran = Do I need to pack any bags?
Max = Yes you will be staying here this weekend to look over the kids
Fran = I’ll be there soon
Max = O.k.
Fran = Oh, and Mr. Sheffield?
Max = Yes?
Fran = Thank you
Max = No problem
(In The Living Room)
Fran = Hello everyone!!
Max = Hello
Gracie = Hi
Maggie = Hello
Brighton = Hi
Fran = Why does everyone look so sad?
Brighton = Because Maggie is so ugly
Maggie = Shut up Brighton!!
Max = I was just leaving good luck
Fran = I’m sure I’ll need it
(In Maggie’s Bedroom)
Fran = Wow look at all these clothes, there all so dull
Maggie = I like them
Fran = Honey, you need some color to your wardrobe, let’s go shopping
Maggie = I don’t know
Fran = Come on, you got a boyfriend yet??
Maggie = No
Fran = With adorable clothes, you’ll definitely have one
Maggie = Do you have a boyfriend?
Fran = Well, I did a few days ago (Fran giggled), so come on let’s shop
Maggie = O.k.
(At Loehmanns)
Fran = Look at all these clothes there so adorable
Maggie = They are bright
Brighton = Maggie ugly girls like you need to stick to ugly clothes
Maggie = Shut up Brighton!!
Fran = Brighton, don’t be so mean to your sister
Brighton = I don’t have to listen to you
Fran = I guess not, but if you don’t you’ll have a wedgie really soon (Brighton suddenly became quiet)
Fran = So what about you Gracie, do you like these clothes
Gracie = They are nice yes
Fran = Let’s get some clothes for you to
Brighton = What about me?
Fran = You could get some to, I just thought you were so fashion coordinated already since you seem to have such a big mouth
Brighton = Well, I want some new clothes
Fran = O.k. let’s all stick together, and we’ll be done in no time
The Next Morning (In the Kitchen)
Max = OH MY GOODNESS!!!!
Fran = You Like??
Max = Margaret go upstairs and change now!!
Maggie = O.k. Daddy
Fran = What’s wrong with it?
Max = She’s 14 years old, she does not need to be wearing a mini skirt like that!!
Fran = That skirt’s not too short
Max = Yes it is Miss. Fine, I want you to return all the clothes you two bought and get more classy and appropriate clothes
Fran = Fine, Fine be boring all the time (Fran whispered)
Max = What was that?
Fran = Oh nothing
(Gracie walked into the room)
Max = MISS. FINE!!!!
Fran = What, What??
Max = Grace is too young to be wearing a shirt like that
Fran = Come on she’s just a little girl, no one’s going to be looking at her like that (Gracie had on a shirt that exposed her stomach)
Max = I don’t care I want her out of that now, you do not come into my house changing around the way my children dress
Fran = O.k. well I’ll take the clothes back then, no big deal
Max = It’s not a big deal to you but it is to me
Fran = What do you want me to do I told you I was going to take back the clothes
Max = Miss. Fine you’re fired
Fran = Fine, it’s Sunday anyway isn’t it about time I retire anyway?
Max = This was a test to see how good you were with the kids, but obviously you’ve proven that you aren’t to good with them
Fran = That’s your opinion
Max = Let’s just ask them, BRIGHTON, MARGARET, GRACE,!!
Brighton = Yeah
Margaret = Yes Daddy
Grace = Yes
Max = Do you all want Miss. Fine to continue being your nanny?
Grace = Yes
Maggie = Yes
Brighton = Well, I guess so
Max = O.k. Miss. Fine, here’s the deal, you get my permission for the clothes you help them pick out, and you could stay
Fran = O.k. but you’re going to come to the store every time we buy clothes?
Max = Well, sometimes but you know what I’m talking about!
Fran = O.k., O.k. I get your point
Max = You Welcome??
Fran = Oh thanks
Max = No problem
