Favorite Lines Our Comments Fun Stuff

It's Valentines Day and Mr. Sheffield's gift to Fran is a card that reads in part: "Happy Valentines Day, Stupid." Let's just say it didn't exactly thrill her.

During the ensuing fight
Max: I wish I'd never said 'I love you' in the first place.
Fran: Oh, my, my whole nervous system just shut down.

Sylvia is worried that some guy is after Yetta for her money so, to protect her, she and Fran go down to the bank to make sure Sylvia's signature is required on all Yetta's accounts.

While they are there, a robber comes in and holds them all hostage.

Back at home, they hear on the news about the robbery and are suitably worried.

But Fran and Sylvia make friends with the robber.

Max, Niles and Val wait outside.

Back at home, Fran gives Max her Valentines Day gift, a card that reads:
For Valentines Day I give you my heart...... worm.
Mr. Sheffield doesn't get the joke.

When they emerge, Fran is still mad at Mr. Sheffield, prompting him to let her know how he feels about her.
Max: I'm not sorry I told you 'I love you.'

My Funny Valentine
Written by Rodgers/Hart

My funny Valentine
Sweet comic Valentine
You make me smile with my heart
Your looks are laughable
Unphotographable
Yet you're my favourite work of art

Is your figure less than Greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?

But don't change a hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little Valentine stay
Each day is Valentine's day
