Our Comments Fun Stuff

Mr. Sheffield wants Fran to come with the family to Hawaii, but Fran doesn't want to go because she is tired of Mr. Sheffield's lack of commitment. She wants to go to on vacation by herself instead.

Val arrives with the news that Heather Biblow has landed an acting role on The Young and The Restless and has moved to Malibu. Heather wants Fran and Val to come visit, so off to LA they go.

Fran and Val are impressed with Heather's new lifestyle.
Fran: Let me ask you something, Heather. Who did ya hafta... I mean what did ya hafta do to get this part?

Back in New York:
Max: I still don't understand why Miss Fine would pass up a trip to Hawaii. Four Star hotel, private beach....
Niles: Sharing a room with Miss Grace.

Heather is doing a love scene with Peter Bergman, but she can't quite remember her lines.
Chantelle: Oh Jack, I don't think we should have gotten on this plane.
Peter: Are we on a plane? We were on a plane yesterday remember? We sat in first class and you said 'I can't ride this horse.'

Val and Fran go down to the studio to visit Heather on the set. They meet all kinda soap stars on the way in.

Peter insists on replacing Heather and looks around the room for someone to take over the job. He overhears Fran helping Heather with her lines and chooses her.

C.C. imagines what this might mean to her.
C.C.: Morning Maxwell.
Max: Morning Mrs. Sheffield.

Fran calls home to tell them her new plans.
Niles: Miss Fine, you're telling me that you've taken a job on a soap and you're not coming home? Well of course I'm shocked. They gave you a speaking part?? Miss Fine, does this mean you're never coming back?

The family arrives home from Hawaii anxious to tell Fran all about their trip. Niles breaks it to Mr. Sheffield that Fran isn't coming home.

Mr. Sheffield calls Fran, but instead of begging her to come back as she expected, he asks Heather if she wants the nanny position.

Nanny Biblow makes quite an impression on the entire family.

In LA, Fran is preoccupied with thoughts of Heather parading around the Sheffield house and she can't concentrate enough to remember her lines. They can her too.

At the NY airport, Val and Fran run into Max on his way to LA. He admits he was coming to get Fran and she admits she was fired and was coming home.

The whole family was glad to have Fran back, except maybe Brighton.
Brighton: Why????

I Am I Said

LA's fine, the sun shines most the time
And the feeling is laid back
Palm trees grow and rents are low
But I keep thinkin' 'bout makin my way back
We'll I'm New York City born and raised
But now days I'm lost between two shores
LA's fine but it ain't home
New York's home but it ain't mine no more

I am I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all not even the chair
I am I cried
I am said I
And I am lost and I can't even say why
Leaving me lonely still

Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of being a king?
And then became one.
Well except for the names and a few other changes
If you talk about me, the story's the same one
But I've got a emptiness deep inside
And I tried but it won't let me go
And I'm not a man who likes to swear
But I never cared for the sound of being alone

I am I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all not even the chair
I am I cried
I am said I
And I am lost and I can't even say why
Leaving me lonely still
