Max in his Gorton's Fisherman Boots

"Welcome to my home."
And so it begins....

Sylvia boasts to Jack and Marsha that Fran has married Maxwell to impress them. Fran doesn't want to go along, but.....

"You're Mr. Sheffield, I'm your wife and we're deliriously happy."

"We're from the Butler's Association."

Marsha [re: Max]: "Who is that?"
Fran: "He's ....Niles the Butler."

Please go along Dad.

Max (as Niles) fumbling the drinks.

And the whole thing comes unraveled.....

If My Friends Could See Me Now

(from Sweet Charity)

If they could see me now, that little gang of mine,
I'm eating fancy chow and drinking fancy wine.
I'd like those stumble bums to see for a fact,
The kind of top drawer, first rate chums I attract.

All I can say is 'Wow', look at where I am
Tonight I landed 'Pow' right in a pot of jam,
What a set up, holy cow they'd never believe it,
If my friends could see me now.

[webmaster's note: This song was used as the temporary theme song on The Pilot when it was presented to CBS for consideration. When the show was picked up, they designed the opening theme song and cartoon we all know and love and the temporary credits were replaced.]
