1.17 Stop the Wedding, I Want to Get Off

Max's sister Jocelyn came for a visit, bringing her fiancè Nigel. Jocelyn (to Max): You described her laugh all wrong in your letters.... it's nothing like the QE2 adrift in a fog. Fran: Mr. Sheffield, you've been writing about me?	The moment I laid eyes on her I thought: 'My God, she's suitable.' Nigel and Joc were a little less than passionate.
	Fran offered to throw them a wedding while they were visiting. Then it's settled, we'll get married this Sunday. Pass the salt.

But Jocelyn did seem to enjoy her chauffeur's company.

And Fran got a hunch that's who Joc belonged with.

Fran: I think you should call off the wedding. But she couldn't quite convince Max.	CC: Maxwell, do you ever think you'll get married again? Max: I hope so. Oh, I love my children, but it does get a little lonely sometimes.
So Fran went to Lester to convince him to talk to Jocelyn and tell her his feelings before the wedding.

Lester took Fran's advice and "talked" to Jocelyn.	Max was happy to give his sister away to Lester.
	Imagine being blind to the fact that you love someone just because they work for you. Max and Fran discussed the twist the day had taken.
