3.10 Having His Baby

The recent birth of Fran's ex-boyfriend's baby make Fran examine her own longing to start a family. Then movie star Monica Baker visits and reveals that her child was born as a result of artificial insemination resulting in Fran seriously considering that option. Written by: Erik Mintz. Monica Baker: Donna Dixon, Nurse: Barbara Howard, Zackie Baker: Skylar Littlefield

the best part is when Max thinks he is going to be the donor. I loved this one.

Gratulation to the nannyteam !!!

I love this episode, I love the scene where Fran is telling Max she wants to have a baby and needs a donor and I love the end where Max thinks she wants him to be the donor and she laughs at him! Classic episode!!!

i love the confusion between fran and max and how he thought she wanted HIM to be the father. it was cute, although it is a little irritating when his character gets so egotistical. fran and the baby were great together, i only wish it were as convincing when she actually had kids.

I just love the part where Max is thinking he is going to be the baby´s father. Love the running arround the house part and Fran with food all over her! I think it is a great episode!

This is my favorite eppy!! :) I just love it when Max really thinks Fran want him to be the Daddy! And the end when they are discusing Fran not baving his baby and all!! LOL!! CUTE!!!

"Having His Baby" was an entertaining episode that had its highlights in maxwells wrong assumption that fran wants him as the father of her child and in niles',who tried all to stay informed about the sheffield affairs.conseqently, and a very good idea for the interaction of the characters, max asked niles for advice.almost max realized that niles could be the right person to help him to get fran.i also liked maxwells self-confidence that only he could be the candidate for the fatherhood of fran.its one example of many more that he wished more affaction from fran.there was no doubt that an episode which dealt with a plot, like "Having His Baby" did, could not exist without a few ambiguous lines and scenes.so for example fran and vals mad visit of the sperm bank, frans hint for max he should do it with her the classic way and above all frans line that she had to rely on maxwells inluence!!!!!(in the german translation it sounds more like a sexual term than a personal influence. i hope you know what i mean!

I´m very happy because I have recently found this site. I´m a really fan of the Nanny I live in Mexico (where the tv program can´t be watched any more without cable) so thanks and bye

i loved the part when the baby was driving around the house

LOVE IT!!!!! I really enjoy the part when Max thinks Fran wants to have his baby. It´s all cute. I also love when he is very nervous about it. That is a pure example of how Max loves Fran. Don´t ya think?

Though not one of my favorite episodes, it is better than I remember. I LOVED Gracie's impression of Fran, and Niles in the background beating on the turkey as Val talked about having a baby was a riot. I think my favorite part, however, was Niles and C.C. arguing about which button to push so the intercom works properly when they think Max and Fran can't hear them and Fran pushing the button and yelling, "The RED one!" Max was so adorable when he found out Fran wasn't planning to ask him and his feelings were hurt, even though he pretended they weren't. As I said, not my favorite, but not the worst.

very very good

Not the best, not the worst. Some cute scenes and some funny scenes but the baby/toddler was not the most pleasant child! (Actually, he was a bit of a spoiled brat!) Max' dilemma was good and like it wasn't too obvious that Fran and Val would walk into a 'wrong' room while at the 'sperm bank'!

A good ep. I love Charles' horrified expression as he figures out he's the donor...and later his stiff upper lip when he finds out he wasn't. Loved Grace's pilgrim costume, and her Sylvia impression was excellent. And Niles' audio visual demostration of child birth is a classic!

I think Max is so cute with all the baby thing and is a prube that he really wants to have a baby withn her, isn´t it?

3.11 The Unkindest Cut

Fran is trying to encourage Brighton's interest in video film making and hires him to tape her cousin's bris. Brighton however, passes out at the crucial moment, missing the actual event, but creating a humorous tape of the incident. Fran's family isn't speaking to her, but the tape earns the entire family a trip to LA for a taping of the "America's Wackiest Video's" TV show. Written by: Frank Lombardi. Cousin Susan: Lorna Luft, Uncle Jack: Zack Norman, Uncle Stanley: Morty Drescher, Guard: Lawrence Mandley, Dr. Quinn/herself: Jane Seymour, Byron Sully/himself: Joe Lando, Dunson Twins: Alissa and Danielle Dowdy.

Our responses (32) gave the episode a 7.7 overall, a 8.0 for the comedy, and a 5.8 for romance.

This episode was ok. Not one of my favorites!

I loved this ep. This is definitly one of my favorites. I loved the part when B. was filming Sylvia and Fran in the kitchen and when he fainted at the brisk. I give it a 10!

Very, very funny specially when Brighton faints and when Fran invites Max and Niles to the bris.

Fran is so cool she is my role model!!!!!

It was a good episode.

Hooo ha! I thought this one was very funny. The end kind of gave out (Cameos for the sake of cameos) but they are very much a happy family on vacation! Max and Fran are perfect together, and both know it!

I love the part where Fran tries to get in to the studio. LOL great ep!

I loved the black and white shots of :
1)Sylvia eating and stating she didnt like being filmed while eating
2)All the black/white shots of Fran - really looked good on her

3)Loved the song Fran sang:"Bonanza,...Meanwhile where do ya pee?Gotta go Gotta Go Gotta really go"

i think the better and more interesting of the two stories in "The Unkindest Cut" was the one about max' book.since of this it was much more unfortunate that the main action dealt with brightons experiences with the jewish customs of the fine-family that resulted in the trip to hollywood.the story was ,no doubt, funny(for example frans attack on the stars and her whole viewing of the studio),but the idea to let max write a book, the characters of which showed a clear equality to the characters in the sheffield-house,was much more worth to concentrate on.the most significant thing of the book was the producer and his private tutor, respectively fran and max.not only that max admitted his love for fran indirectly, also fran derived pleasure from this idea.so it would have been a great opportunity to project the story to the real lovers.and there was also the phantastic metaphor concerning the wishes of the Nanny-Fans,when fran dealt with the happy end in the book and what the audience expected.

Good ep! All Hoolywood Scenes were excellent. The song of Fran´s was great. Two thumbs up!

This was not one of their better efforts, but it wasn't terrible- there were some cute moments. Brighton taping the Brisket thinking that was the bris was pretty funny. Also, Fran's line to Max about 'she took care of the kids, if he wanted someone to solve his problems get a wife' was very prophetic. Fran & Max's matching outfits coming home were cute, but there was not much romance in this one at all. I agree with an earlier post that the book plot was better than the main plot- loved Niles tricking C.C. when Max came in just as she was saying 'ooo- ooo- look at me reading Maxwell's stupid book'. I have two questions though: first, what was that plaid coat about in the kitchen scene? UGH! Also, was that the same purse from 3.14- The Fasion Show? It looked like it.

I love this as well as many others!!! Two thumbs up!! Chop Chop!

it`s not the best episode of the nanny

Another ep, that just didn't quite come together. Brighton was hillarious. Loved Fran's panic over loosing her powers like Samantha on Bewitched. The book storyline was cute.......I would have liked to see that revisited... was it the beginning of the Widower?

This one was 'OK'... a few good lines. I liked Niles' and Max' reaction to the bris idea and Fran trying to get back into the studio. I liked the second story of Max and his insecurities about his play. Other than that, not much.

Fran rocks. I think the part when she gets carried out of the gate is really funny.

This eposode is very-very funny. My favorite Fran's lines:"What is she, a mustard tester?", "Ma, it IS distasteful to serve franks for the bris," "This is why she [Sylvia] has fewer photos than the Big Foot" - in response to Sylia's comment that she doesn't like to be filmed when she's eating.

3.12 The Kibbutz

Fearing that Maggie is getting too involved with her new boyfriend, Maxwell vows to send her away to a convent over the Christmas holidays. Fran talks him into letting Maggie go to a kibbutz in Israel instead, which seems safe enough until Fran remembers more details about her own trip when she had been Maggie's age. Written by: Frank Lombardi. Virginia Graham as herself, Yelsi: Ofir Anschel, Yelsi's son: Michael Dow.

Our responses (39) gave the episode a 8.3 overall, a 8.4 for the comedy, and a 6.3 for romance.

This is one of my favourites, I love it.

I absolutley love the memory in this and the "hat"! Not the absolute best,m but a really good one!!!!

Great epi. One of my favorite

This is one of my favorite episodes. I love the scene in the kitchen!

This makes 2 out of the last 3 episodes with a pretty weak plot (and 3.11 was nothing to write home about!). I did like Max's line to Fran however, "Why is it everytime I ask you to do the simplest thing you manage to screw it up?" and Fran's response: "And yet you continue to ask!" LOL. The flashback scene to Fran in high school was cute, and I thought the end was funny the way Fran was bossing Max around as though they were already married. The funniest line was the very last one from Niles, and it wasn't even what he said but how he said it, (after seeing Ms. Babcock there), "Daylight come and me wanna go home!"

The first time that I saw this episode, I only saw the first 10 minutes or so and didn't think that it was a very good one, but later as a re-run, I saw the whole thing and it was hysterical. The scene in the kitchen was priceless!!!

Cool episode. My favorite moments are when Fran plays herself at 17. As always, Niles and C.C. are hilarious. Favorite: When speaking about the upcoming vacation, C.C. asks Niles: "So, where do you stash you cash?" Niles replies: "In the place where you'll never be near." C.C. is laughing: "Your matress??" Niles quetly points to Maxwell: "No, his."

although the basic idea of "The Kibbutz" did not promise very much, the episode developed to a good one, mainly since of the funny flashbacks to the character's past.so i almost screamed by that super cut on the young val and fran.and wow,i still can not believe that fran drescher is so convertbile that she nearly looked like a person who is seventeen(and that hair!!).the same way 70's queen silvia could not been better was yetta and of course frans line that she never would be 30,not married, wearing ultra short skirts.(quit a date with steven spielberg!?).but the crowning event was maxwell with that side whiskers, niles wearing a beard and a dark haired cc,who was niles pastime even in these times.when my diaphragm had cured itself, fran steped in the bedroom of their parents.in view of silvia's outfit we could only speculate what 'strange' things were going on.the only completely untrustworthy thing was that fran remembered her first time not earlier.oh i almost forgort one new trait of niles:stinginess.so he was able to drop cc that saying concerning money, max matress and that she would never get the possebility to come near to it.

I love this episode, the scene in the kitchen and C C and Niles, great....

This is an okay episode, mainly because it just doesn't have the romance between the characters that I love.

If the kibbtuz is a true place i so would go and lose my hat!! Just like my role model Fran Fine!! This website is cool!! Also I can't belive theycancled my favorie show!

i love this episode especially the flash back and the whole "hat" thing!!! it's a great episode!!

Loved the moment that Maxwell figured out what Fran meant about the "hat."

I love the chemistry between Max and Fran, it has everything.

every episode is good

It also was great with the flashback! and when Maw figures out the true meaning of "I lost My Hat".

I loved this ep! As usual, the cast pulled it off, making this a Nanny that I will never forget!

I love this episode, I laughed very much. Max and Fran make a great couple.

One of my favourite episodes. The whole hat story line lol. And, as the great Niles+CC Fan I am, even more the holiday story, aren't the looks of them too hillarious when they discover eachother in their paradise, now eventually turned to hell? :)

I just loved the parte where Fran says in front of everyone that there was where she lost her........HAT!!! I laughed a lot! LOL One of the best episodes!

this is a good show and i love it

A pleasant episode with some good scenes -- I also especially love the 'hat' scenes.

3.13 An Offer She Can't Refuse

Fran's new boyfriend seems perfect--he's rich, he's powerful and he's from her old neighborhood. Only one problem, he seems to be in the mob! Fran is afraid to break up with him, so Mr. Sheffield steps in to take care of it. Written by: Jayne Hamil and Rick Shaw. Tony: Burke Moss, Franky: Justin Jon Ross, Maitre'd: John LaMotta, Bodyguard: Roy Kerry.

Our responses (24) gave the episode a 7.4 overall, a 8.3 for the comedy, and a 7.0 for romance.
Some comments received were:

I love the nanny but I didn´t like this episode very much.

Not one of my favorites, but I love the part when Max asks her if she is going with that dress.

This ep had a lot of highlights in it! Fran negotiating with Max for time off was funny as was Fran taking out the juice box and then putting the straw in the Twinkie! I loved Niles' "It's Shake an' Bake an' I helped!" A jealous Max is always good- offering to break up with Tony for her made him able to show he really cared for her without saying anything. Max's naevity (?) was so funny though when he asked Tony what he thought Gracie had in the violin case, a machine gun? LOL!

I think this is a nice episode. Max shows how jealous is about Fran going out with someone else

think of me as a completely horny guy,but for me everything in "An Offer She Can't Refuse"was covered by fran in this black dress.can there be something more beautiful, sexy and charming than this woman in this scene?i could not trust my eyes when i saw her first and i watched the rest of the episode with a 'OH MY GOD' on my lips.i have no doubt that this was the moment i realized that i would do everything for her(adressed to all feminists:i HAD to say this!)now i have to force myself to think of the other elements of the episode.so it was funny to watch that work-negotiation between fran and maxwell.it is a pitty that it does not work in the same way in reality!next to this was the reason for val's stupidity:a permanent wave that remained to long on her head, and niles idea to protect max from the mafiosi with the help of cc.on the other hand i think that brighton and the blackmailing of his sister got a little bit too short;it was very funny.at the end i have to return to the black dress-scene:have you seen on which 'special'point fran looked by this limo comparison!why am i not completely convinced that this had been planed in the script?for some reasons i believe that this was fran dreschers spontaneous and sexy mind.

i just love charles shaughnessy

It was one of the best episodes

I liked the scene where Max tries to convince Fran she'll be cold in her little black dress. Max: I hear there's a cold front blowing in tonight Miss Fine. Niles: I heard it's going to be a very warm night for this time of year Sir. Max: No, there is a cold front coming in and the new butler will be bringing it. Niles: Brrrrrr. LOL

This was not one of my favorite episodes, but it certainly had a few "priceless" scenes. "What kind of car does he drive? Lincoln! Towncar or Limo? Limo! Bigger than mine? What don't you just pull yours out of the garage and we'll have a limo measuring contest!" Hysterical!

I really love the nanny!!! This is a really great episode!!!! I love all the episodes but this one is truly fantastic!!!

This eposied was not the best.

Limo measuring, cold front, Twinkies with a straw, home perms, violin cases, 'we're looking for a tenor' and, of course, a chase scene. These alone made it a funny episode. Max again being jealous made it romantic.

3.13a Oy To The World

It's Christmas, and Fran tries to teach Brighton a lesson in the true spirit of the season. They take a trip to the North Pole and meet Elfis and a single, unhappy Santa. It seems the Abominable Babcock is kicking up a winter storm that won't let Santa deliver the presents. But Fran has a plan! Written by: Peter Marc Jacobson and Fran Drescher. Chester: Pamela Hayden, Maurice LaMarche.

Our responses (30) gave the episode a 8.0 overall, a 7.7 for the comedy, and a 5.2 for romance.
Some comments received were:

I don´t remember it that well, but I know that I laughed a lot with it. It is a nice change in the Nanny

Well, I unfortunately haven't seen this one!! Nut, from what I've read it looks great!! Happy Holidays!!

This was an amazing episode. I loved Niles characters,he was really good. i wish they would play it as a holiday special. I'm glad i got it from amazon.com last week

this was a great ep, very creative and well done. Loved the "Elfis" thing-IMO niles was the highlight of this episode. lots of cute lines. the abominable CC was funny. overall, i gave it a 10 (first time) just for creativity.

This is my fave episode! Sure, ok... it's not romantic, well, not very, but I liked the animated concept, and the new characters! I've been watching this show for so long and the thought "Why don't they ever use that beginning theme animation for more?!" crossed my mind every single day. And now here it is! All nice and merry! Besides Dummy Twins, this is my favorite! :)

I think I haven't seen this ep, but if Barb's discription above is correct, it must have been great! Abominable Babcock... that's a funny one! ;0) By the way, hope you all had a great X'Mas! And happy new year! ;0)

One of the greatest - EVERYONE should own a copy - Elfis is the ultimate!

I can't tell you what I think because the damn tv cable I have, didn't pass it. I think it must be good as every ep of TN but I'm writting this message to let you know that in other countries the cable has a very bad service. Hope the ones who have seen it, have enjoyed it!!! PS: I'm from Argentina

I LIKED THE EPOISDE .MY FAVOITE PART WAS WHEN THEY HAD A C.C STORM AND THEY WAY THEY DREW THE CAST.

A great episode and a nice change to the animation. The story-line was great - talking Chester, Abominable Babcock and Elfis! It was a great concept and here in Australia it was shown 3 times this Christmas - once on Channel 10 and on 2 different satellite stations! For those of you who haven't seen it, you should try to get a copy somehow!

I thought this episode was auesome! I loved the part when fran and brighton met elfis and he did that elvis like dance

I have not had the pleasure of seeing this one episode. I think that I have seen every other one. I have heard though that is a very good one.

"The Nanny" went " childrens-channel",or to say it with other words:one had not inevitably to like this one, although it was a christmas episode.it is really difficult to judge "Oy To The World".personally i do not like it very much,as i think it fits to the cartoon-network,but not to the actual "The Nanny".i wonder why they did not used the fran-figure from the beginning theme animation, because she looks so much better there. at all it was a nice idea, but nothing that filled me with enthusiasm.

I found this episode boring.

I thought this was a very cute X-mas ep. It was a great idea to make a cartoon of it. Quite different from what we usually get but I see it as a little bonus. I liked the story and the characters. It was just fun. Unfortunately they did not air it in most counytries outside the USA!

I think Nanny is a very good show, and I think Niles the butler is the best.

3.14 Fashion Show

The entire family is off to a Premiere and Fran is running late as usual. In order to get her out of the house, Mr. Sheffield reassures her that no one will notice that her purse doesn't match her outfit. Gloss Magazine notices, however, and features Fran as a "Fashion Don't". To get out of the doghouse, Mr. Sheffield hires Fran as the costumer for a benefit he is doing. Teleplay by: Eileen O'Hare. Story by: Eileen O'Hare, Chris Alberghini, and Michael Chessler. Cousin Toddy: Todd Oldham, Counterperson: Mark Chaet, Reporters: Fran Montano, Susan Segal, Derek Webster.

Our responses (35) gave the episode a 8.7 overall, a 8.6 for the comedy, and a 7.8 for romance.
Some comments received were:

This eposode is one of the funniest. When Max is about to tell Niles about Fran and she comes in, I thought Niles was going to gset a stroke.

funny, funny, funny, specially Niles,he´s the best.

The more I watch this ep and think about it, the more I love it. It's a shame they cut out the scene in the kitchen between CC and Maxwell-- if ever a juxtaposition showed how Max viewed CC's friendship versus Fran's, this was it! Even the spontaneous kiss in 'Sunday in the Park" was one of more romantic feeling. Max's kiss on the cheek and the scene in the office made it completely clear how he felt about Fran. One to plotz over!

i love fran drescher

This was a great one!! It was funny with the it turned out to be the gray steark. Max should have told Niles right after Fran left.

I like this episode a lot. Max almost says "it" to Niles. The Nanny is one of the best of tv

I loved it when C.C. sid "Maxwell, I think your thinking with your little producer. The look on his face was precious.

I love this ep. My favorite part was when Fran through C.C. that purse and she became the "fashion don't." And of course th confusion where cousin Toddy is Todd Oldham.

I liked this episode because in the end the nanny is featured in the "Fashion Do's" and c.c. is featured in the "Fashion Don't! That's what C.C gets for being such a mean and evil person to poor Fran!
I also liked the fact that Mr. Sheffield trusts Miss Fine with the benifit and lets her be the customer, although he begins to regret it but in the end everything turns out GREAT!!!!!!

after the cartoon trip, the real Nanny returned in a spectacular way."Fashion Show"was not any episode,i think although there was no happy end it could match without a proplem with the episodes in season 5.so many great things:there was the amazing scene in which maxwell is told by brighton how to comment frans look, frans crazy appearance in the glamour world, maxwells line that no one would take an eye on frans handbag(that was soooo right in respect of this woman!!),frans phone punishment for max (poor man!),cc's line concerning max' little producer(german translation,as always)and the attempt of max to break down the premiere with the help of the cigar.but nevertheless i believe two other scenes were responsible for the 10 of this episode.the first one was the kitchen scene when max presented fran this clear offer to go with her upstairs.but why did the authors create such a line without the right answer of fran.despite of the fact that is was in no way the normal conduct of the british gentleman max,it also did not fit to fran that she reacted as shown.and at all it did not fit to the framework of the series.but hold on,still a great scene. the second and even better one was the fabulous scene in max office, including a great flirt(oh sorry,nanny/boss conference!) with feet- fumbling.but how could something beat the sexual hint that followed the flirt.i could not believe my ears when fran asked max if she did it the right way!!.of course there had to be a niles-appearance with a clear facial expression of him.it was such a sorrow that they did not let max admit his feelings for fran in front of niles(there was no real reason for the interception.it would have been a great step for the love story.

I love the nanny, all episodes, this is one of the funniest. I can see them all the time.

i loved this ep. it was one of my favorites. i loved the dress Fran wore in the end.

A very pleasing episode in all respects - from the 'fashion lesson' Brighton gave Max in the beginning through 'Mangela', Max' reaction to the 'fashion don't', "Everybody Out!", the dying of the grey streak, the foot massage, Niles' reaction to Fran's interruption, the 'little producer', Maggie's drycleaning, Fran's whole reaction to 'Our Town', the cost of drinks, the cigar and Cousin Toddy. Does that man care for that woman or what!

it was okay b/c max showed he liked fran a little

This is a GREAT episode which once again allows Max to show how much he cares for Fran without actually saying so. Lots of funny parts have already been mentioned- B's fashion lesson to Max, the gray streak inuendo, the foot massage in the office. C.C. had a great line with the 'costumes by Oscar de la Yenta'. It's becoming so clear how much Max cares for Fran that even C.C. could see it- "You're attracted to this woman for God knows what reason!" Max came thisclose to admitting his feelings for Fran in front of Niles (this could make a good fanfic re:what he'd have said if Fran hadn't come back at that moment). Loved the end when Cousin Toddy totally ignored C.C. to go see Fran and then Fran throwing the silver purse to C.C. for the 'Fashion Don't'. One of the better episodes of the season!

This was a very cute episode!

One of my favourites.

Well I'm not a Nanny "expert" since I just recently started watching them and became addicted like crazy, so I've got one question...Is this the first time Mr. Sheffield realizes his feelings for Fran? [webmaster's note: Not really. There have been other signs along the way.] Otherwise the episode made me laugh hysterically as Fran always manages to do to me. Love Niles in this episode from "hasta la vista, baby" to trying to get Mr. Sheffield to admit he has feelings for Miss Fine. Great ep in which Fran looked gorgeous!!

Fran Drescher looks stunning in the dress that she wears to opening night. My brother couln't get his eyes off her!!! The episode was a very good one. It is one of my fave.

I thought that the episode was so good I recorded it. Charles always looking smashing in a tux. Daniel Davis is the one liner king, Fran's outfits were fa-bu-lous, and I say Charles looks great in a tux? I can always say that again. Well it was great.

3.15 Where's Fran?

After catching her smoking, Fran tries to teach Maggie a lesson by letting Mr. Sheffield catch her smoking. Unfortunately, during the yelling he calls her stupid. Fran takes offense and quits in a huff. The family remembers Fran in retrospective clips until Max sees the light and convinces her to come back. Written by: Sally Lapiduss. Cop: Joey Dente, Maggie's Boyfriend (Joey): Bryan Kirkwood.

Our responses (46) gave the episode a 8.5 overall, a 8.3 for the comedy, and a 8.1 for romance.
Some comments received were:

that is a very nice ep. I ove those with pieces from others. i love all those romantic once. this ep is one of my favorites. i loved it, oh, it's just so cool that they are getting closer and closer...OH, GOD THAT IS SO ROMANTIC:-]HE MISSES HER, SHE MISSES HIM,OH GOD!how can you not love it when two people are in love! i cant live without the nanny even threee days, oh come back,fran!(:_)

Funny, funny, funny, when Max calls her stupid and Grace tells Brighton to find her, love the nanny.

i thought this was a pretty good episode...the phone cord part at the end was funny!!

This was agreat episode! Surely one the best! I gave it a perfect 10 all the way through!

I loved this ep, it was great to see the clips from the previous years. I loved the end when they showed clips of Fran coming down the stairs in her different dresses.

Not one of my faves, but still really good!!! I like the Chelsea Clinton part, and the flashbacks were SO funny.... Lol, Niles!!!!!

Not as good as Hurricane Fran, but there were less episodes to choose from. Some of the scenes that I love are in this one and they just weren't important enough to make Hurricane Fran. It isn't one of my favorites, but it is a great episode.

This was a very funny episode! I loved it! Is this song played in the episode? [webmaster's note: No, the show didn't use it, I just thought it fit the episode well.]

Thi is a great episode. Just like one of this comments: how can´t you just love when two people are madly in love? Love every single part of this episode and of The nanny.

well It was very funny and romantic . I love the part when Maggie and her boyfriend are talking in the kitchen about Max´s acting and Friend´s Ross and Rachel´s kind of relationship ( like fran and Max´s) very funny. I also like the final part.

One of my favorites!!!! I love it!!! I hjope you all agree!!!

I love flashback episodes and the editors always seem to choose scenes that have been highlights of the show so far. I like the whole premise of this show -- Max finally getting steamed up with one of Fran's methods and saying something which was really 'stupid' in more ways than one, and Gracie's 'find her!' The phone cord was, once again, Fran's not knowing when enough is enough -- she had him up until then!

Good jokes as always! "if it were Miss Babcock, well you know how much I love her."

As this is merely a recycled ep mainly consisting of old parts glued together by a rather weak plot to excuse the flashbacks, it's only the last scene with Fran on the phone to save it from a "1" rating.

IT was funny but it wasn't hilarious, I loved the part where Mr. Sheffield said " but we were getting soo close.. in a strickly professional way" and fran's like "rite" and it flashes back. Fran is always funny whatever she's doin!!

Great as always!!!!

for every tv-sreies there is the point when they air these retrospective episodes.for "The Nanny" it was "Where's Fran".but for an episode that only exists,as they wanted to save money,it was not so bad.mainly because real Nanny fans aren't angry to see the best scenes of their favourite show again.as always the actual action took very little time and i think the idea of 'fran leaving the house' would have been more interesting by concentrating on the romantic aspect of fran and max.but nevertheless there was a little bit of that element in the episode.i think also that max' offence to fran was too extrem for the character and it's feelings for fran.

I love the nanny, love Max and Fran, never get tired of it.

Tonight episode was like forty episodes in one! It was great it had that hilarious scene from "close Shave" and Niles dancing, and it was so cute when Maxwell said "Fran yous got some explaining to do!" A laugh a minute.

This episode had a great plot, too bad they didn't use it for a whole episode instead of a base for flashbacks.

would Fran Drescher go on with The Nanny comedy 'cause it's awesome!

i luv the show and i think mr. sheffield is gorgeous to bad he is married.

I've never liked this episode too much, but in rewatching it, the clips they chose really were perfect. It was fun to see some of the old scenes and try to remember which ep they were from. It was frusterating when Max still wouldn't admit he loved her, but the little smirk he got when Fran said to 'Hilary', "I just thought of something my old boss can give me that you can't" was enough, at least for the moment.

Nice episode not one of my favourites, but i still like it!!

This episode is one the greatest!!!!! I never miss an episode and this one is one that I think NOBOBY should have missed! It was a great episode. Very funny and romantic just one of my many favorites!

i loved it, ((((((((((9i missed the bank robbery, and i wanna see it again,oh please!!!!!)))))))))))), they are all funny, and that's why i love ttthem!!!!!!!

i taped it, it was so great

This episode was no less than excellent! Not only was it hilarious, but it was wonderful to see Max want to try whatever it took to keep Fran there. Too bad Maggie interrupted... there might have been quite the romantic evening planned! I loved that shirt and the regal music :) Charles looked GRRREAT! Oh, and Barb, I am thrilled you chose "Just the Way You Are"!

I thought the whole concept with Nettie and Yetta was hilarious... though there have been funnier episodes, this one was good!!

I wasn't all that crazy about the story line with her parents and their crisis, but the story line with Maxwell and Fran thinking that he was so predictable. Now that was hysterical!

I don't why this episode didn't grab me. It just seems "off" somehow from the ones surrounding it in tone. Was it her hair? But she wore her hair like that in subsequent ones too. Well, I can't pinpoint it, but this is not one of my favorites from this season, even with Maxwell trying so hard to please and the very good Grandma Nettie.

Not one of the more memorable Eps. but it got a few good chuckles out of me i.e. when Fran was wondering if Maxwell was wearing her blouse. LOL

i watched it long ago, but it's still really cute. and-- agin max shows howuch he cares for fran, but in his own,BORING way

I love both grandmas, they are lovely.

i liked this episode...cause yetta is funny...and nettie is so funny too i wish she was on the show more then the few eps she was in..

I love Max change. Also Fran not wanting Grace to grow up. nice ep!!

Hey this ep was great the grandmas were hilarious and Maxwell looked way cute coming out to that spanish matador music and thtat crazy shirt! He may be predictable but who cares that's why we love him! IT WAS TTTEEERRIIFFFIICCC!!!!

This is another episode that seemed in desperate need of a plot! Don't get me wrong- I did enjoy it, from a critical standpoint- but I agree with an earlier post that this one seemed "off" somehow. Perhaps it was because there seemed to be too many subplots put together to make one main one, or maybe it's because I thought Max should've been the one to comfort Fran when she found out about her parents splitting up. Anyway, this wasn't one of my favorites, although I will agree Nettie was really funny. When Fran scolded her grandmas for smoking, Nettie said, "What- it stunts our growth?" Also when Nettie talked about having her boy back home. "I gotta light bulb for 10 years I haven't been able to reach, and now that your father's there, he gave me a boost!" LOL!

Very funny episode. Favorite moments: grandma Netty serving cookies; Frans' horror when she sees that her farther took his "good" hair with him; Maxwell showing up in "Fran's" blouse, and Maggie arguing with Maxwell despite the fact that he gave her premission to go out.

I thought this ep was funny. I loved when Fran asked Sylvia if her and Morty made up and Slvia says twice. I also loved Maxwell's new look.

first it seamed that "The Grandmas" developed to a fran/max episode that dealt with their 'halting' relationship.that would have been the guarantee for a good episode.so it started great when fran (who looked like a panther with the hairdress)made this pick up lines on max at breakfast.but of what was she thinking concerning niles and the duster!in the same way funny was frans and max' synchron dialogue, frans forecast of the happenings and frans 'how to lie' advice for gracie.the best scene in this context was the one in the office when niles tried (for another time)to get max nearer to fran.and the line that max should prevent fran from leaving him(ok niles used his 'very own' sentence)could not been better.although the story changed to the couple crises of morty and sylvia the episode did not lost quality.mainly this was owed to some great ideas;so yetta 2,nettie,her apartment(ihhhhh)and the cookie story."The Grandmas" was a good episode, but it would have been better to give each of the stories an own episode.

3.17 Val's Boyfriend

Fran and Val are out looking for guys and, shockingly, one hits on Val! This is fabulous for her, but leaves Fran a little lonesome for her best friend. The family tries to fill the gap, with varying degrees of success. Meanwhile, since Maxwell won't make her partner in the business, C.C. has quit her job. She must resort to enlisting Fran's help to get it back. Written by: Erik Mintz. Pauly: James Distefano, Guy in Bar: James Edson, Alan Neider: Marvin Hamlisch.

the funniest part, when Fran eats the wasabi, very funny...

it was a really gerat ep. i dont actually reember any scenes, but overall you cant give it lower than nine you know, i ove this show so much, i just cant live without it

I love it

every espisode is the best!!!!!!!!

LOVED IT WHEN NILES KEPT DROPING THINGS ON THE FLOOR SO HE COULD SEE THE END OF MAX AND C.C.'S ARGUMENT.I ALSO LIKED THE PART WHEN C.C. CAME TO COLLECT HER THINGS BUT NILES ALREDY HAD IT ALL PACKED UP AND WHEN FRAN HAD ALL THAT WUSABI.

This episode definitely belonged to Niles (and I'm a Max fan!) between the line about the couch floating away w/o C.C. on it, the Wicked Witch song, and his reaction to C.C.'s line about smelling a Tony/she should have showered after he left. LOL! Other than that, this was pretty much an average show, although Max looked like he was truly laughing and couldn't stop when he asked C.C. if the new company would be named Hamcock! I think Fran's reaction with the wasabi made her look more like "I Love Lucy" than any other episode in the series. P.S. I don't like Fran's hair that way.

As Fran put it, "I like it." That was probably the best part of the episode. I also liked manyt of the outfits int his one!! Great!!!

I loved CC and Fran bonding. And the Wasubi "Wow, this really clears your nasal passages, I wonder how long it will laistt, oh." Niles was terrific.

Wasn't one of the best, but I love them all!!!!!

Fran and CC being best friends for a while is weird. I like when Fran speaks normal for eating the sushi.

i think it was time to give val an episode and so i first enjoyed the idea that she could fell in love while fran stayed single.but then i got very disappointed that val was nearly forgotten in the rest of the show.as a result the only good scenes concerning this part were frans showing for max how pauly picked on her and her line in which she suggested max to cuddle.the better story of the episode was the split of the cc/max team that,of course, was followed by some great niles-scenes.so his delay-tactics in the office, his singing appearance when he 'helped' cc with her removal and the withdrawal symptoms after cc had left the house.who did not recognize this as a metaphor for smokers, who quit their 'hobby'.the max /cc ice age also led to the fantastic scene when fran and cc went out for sushi.oh,i am still so sad and angry about the fact that this wusabi thing got lost in the synchronization to the german language(as fran's german voice is not comparable to the original fran).to put it in a nutshell " Val's Boyfriend "was no highlight, but also no looser episode.

Wasn't Val's boyfriend a real low-life! This was just an average episode... far from the greatest and far from the worst! Like the whole Japanese Restaurant scene.

It was great!! I loved the part where "it really clears up your nasal passages!!" too, that was great. I'm a huge Fran fan, but I must say Niles was histerical!!

I am an girl from norway and i just wanna say that I love you and all yore shows

This was and okay eposide!!! It was funny with the make-out thing when Max ask Fran what they should do!! By the way your website is the Da bomb!!! Keep up the good work !!
