okay, this is a good episode. i liked a lot about it, especially the ending where fran is taking to max about how he really wants to kiss her when he screams at her, and so on. that i really liked. one question:(i just forgot)did max fake his stamach acke in the car?
Good show !!! Not so funny, not so romantic but I liked . Hier in Brazil the soap The Nanny is very sucesfull .
Great episode! The bloopers at the end make it even funnier!
this was really not the best episode for me
It was a very good episode. It can make me laugh and be romantic, too. I love the pathé stuff. Very funny. I came to realize that when you fail in something you have to try again, and I love that message from the show to us.
It was cute how Max pretened to be sick so fran would drive again..its just a cute episode
Very funny show especially when Mr. Sheffield teaches Fran how to drive a stick!
This is an above average episode, funnier in retrospect than it was the first time it aired. I really enjoyed that Max would fake it to teach her to drive, thus showing how much he cared. And Fran and Niles discussing it at the kitchen table was sweet. But the scene at the end with Fran on the desk seemed out of character to me somehow. I *enjoyed* it, but felt guilty doing it. It just was too much too soon. Which I know is strange to be complaining about, but it just didn't 'feel' right. This is too hard to explain!
This was a pretty good ep! C.C. was very mean with the Trix cereal and the bunny hop, but she has a good singing voice. Niles really put her in her place with that "exhibit A, exhibit B" stuff! It was sweet with Max trying to cheer Fran up by taking her to B.S. house and saying that her hair "looked particularly big tonight"- he always knows just what to say. I love Niles' line when Fran asked if he knew how Max felt, "For 4 yrs. I've been hinting to him, I've been hinting to you, I've been hinting to him to hint to you, why do you think I don't have enough time to make pate?" The ending was the best though when Fran could see right thru Max's yelling to how he really felt- he might not say it, but it was pretty clear anyway. Cute ep!
it was good went they came back and the nanny was look for max
This is not my favorite episode, but it's pretty good! I love that Max pretends to be sick to help Fran! That is so romantic!
Fran looked GREAT in that lime green bikini, she has some great body...... She was the best looking girl at the show, she should have won......
I love the nanny and Fran Drescher, she is excelent, but i love most FRAN FINE i want to be exactly like her, i love the way she is the way she dress, her life, all Fran Fine do it´s wonderfull!
It was okay, there were definitely some funny spots in the show, but overall, it wasn't my favorite.
Another one of my favourites!I gave a ten in every rating. It is so funny as Fran tries to see her "god" Barbra Streisand and then as Maxwell teach Fran how to drive a stick shift car and she has that little accident which causes that she loses the car contest. There are so many funny scenes! And also romantic ones especially of course at the end as Max shows his feelings on Fran. I also like the scene in which Niles explain Fran why he can´t make the paste by himself. I love this episode!
I LIKED THIS EP. ALOT. PERIOD. I THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY SWEET WHEN MAXWELL MADE HER DRIVE THE STICK SHIFT. AND I DONT KNOW IF THEY SHOW THID ANY WHERE ELSE BUT I LOVED THE BLOOPER WHEN ACCIDENTALLY SAID NOSE INSTEAD OF A CAR. IT WAS HILARIOUS! MAX AS ALWAYS WAS CUTE OF COURSE DUH?
I really love the second half of this ep. Max and Fran in the car, CC bribing Fran by revealing Babs big secret announcement. And there were great parts sprinkled throughout, BUT the beauty pageant part was cheesy, forced and pretty stupid. It had Season 4 written all over it.
I love this one. Especially the blooper at the end, where Fran says that if you are from her neighbor hood, when you are sixteen, you get a car or a nose job. What, I got the nose job!!! Hysterical!
This was a pretty cute plot and allowed everyone some good lines/scenes. I loved the Max/Niles scene after Niles tricks Max into taking Fran to see Barbra. The fact that Fran is completely oblivious to the action makes it funnier. I also loved CC's line about having to shake off two bus loads of Fine's (or something like this) on the way to Long Island. The funniest part though had to be that blooper at the end. It was funny watching the scene change from Fran and Max to Fran and Charles. What a laugh he has!
In a show featuring clips from past episodes, Fran, disgusted by Maxwell's lack of interest, insists on taking a separate Christmas vacation to drown her sorrows. Nice episode! When Mr Sheffield is waiting at the door and the end: it is so cute!
The best part was to see "cluck like a chicken" again
Some of the Shows was great. I was everyday at Home and looked "the Nanny". I come from Germany and there was coming at 5 o´clock at the evening. I think ít´s sh*t,that don´t coming new shows from "The Nanny".
Great episode!
I just love the end when Fran says to Niles to stop worrying that she go him invited and he says he fells like he forgot something. Flash to CC in the wheelchair.
This episode was GREAT!! But I've seen better! I loved that whole bit with CC and the wheelchair, that was sooooooooo funny!! THE NANNY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
Another one of my alltime favourites, although they mostly show scenes of the shows before. So romantic and so funny! I love it.
Not bad for a clip show. Surprisingly romantic--Max's concern and the flying leap over the couch were cute.
I don't usually like "clip" shows and this one didn't change my opinion. I agree with the previous comment. The best part was Max' leap over the couch and watching for Fran at the end.
I love the show i can watch them all four years and not take my eyes of the t.v. fran drecher rules !!!
Nice episode, but it all about past episodes.
Fran looks great as usual, she wears the most adorable bikinis......OY!!!!!!!What a looker
Not the best ep, but when are the episodes of any show that are primarially composed of clips good? But the show is always funny, so it made the clips bearable to watch again.
Even when I don´t like clips, this one was a good ep. I love Max´s concern about Fran.
Although clip shows can be redundant, I have a soft spot for this one. As I only began watching the Nanny in syndication, "Hurricane Fran" gave me a taste of all the great episodes I had yet to see. Loved the end with Max leaping over the couch, and Fran's completely dry response "Get up. I saw you through the window."(or something like that!)The next part is cute too when they both speak at the same time about missing each other.
Not the best ep, is it?
this is a funny episode. i liked it a lot. moost favourite:cc+niles, the ending...actually, all of it
"Wake up, I saw you through the window" The whole episode was good. The end was great though with max on the couch.
I agree that I don't ususally care for clips episodes either, and while this one wasn't that great, it did at least have a story line to go with it. I agree that seeing Max jump over the couch and hearing them both go on about missing each other was probably the best part.
I like this one. I also like the occasional 'clip show'. This one is a good one as it reminds us of all we have seen so far without having to go back! It also showed the anxious, caring Max without being soppy.
I would like to know where I can buy Fran´s cool bikini!!
I loved the end where Maxwell jumps over the couch! My children take great delight in stopping the tape in mid-jump and rewinding. We have seen it about a million times!

Very funny! Liked the part when Fran is fighting with Mr Sheffield and quit.
Kinda quirky but a classic Nanny ep. I loved when Niles finally - thank heavens - finds out what the Thing was and exasperated, tells off Maxwell. The scene with Fran and Maxwell in Bloomingdales was excellent too. "Close your eyes and pretend that you're dead and tell me what you said in your will". The best moment of all was CC charging screaming out of the changing room with the lingerie stuck on her head as she hears Maxwell unknowingly announce over the store PA system that he told Fran he loves her. I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Definitely one of the best 'C.C.' moments in the series.
it was sad :(
i don't like it, as far I can remember this ep
Excellent I love this episode
I like this ep very much, very funny. The scene in the store with max and fran as he tells her about his feelings..... Congratulations to the writers
I love this one!! Especially when Mr Sheffield gives Niles a kick in the touchas! LOL! And when Fran and Val went to Danny's funeral and Fran's food fell in the coffin. LOL!
I liked Grandma Eloise and Niles's dusting--a lot of which is gone in the syndicated version. And I liked Fran getting Maxwell to give in to let her meet Eloise in the first place. Very married. And CC tripping over the stool in the store is a classic moment.
This was a cute episode, I loved the part at the end with maxwell and fran, "now close your eyes and pretend that your dead" It was a funny episode. I also liked the part when Fran was at the department store and was getting in trouble, "do they come in Mauve?"
Pretty even show in my eyes
I liked the 'Missed a spot' sequences with Grandma Eloise and CC charging out of the dressing room and the 'Bet you wished you had now!'. Other than that, the episode didn't have much. The whole 'Danny's Dead' idea was a bit morbid in places as was Fran's silly behavior while working at the Deptartment Store. One of the less desirable episodes in series 4!
Fran's joy over meeting Mr. Right turns to sorrow after attending a family wedding and discovering that he's a close cousin; and Maxwell worries over Fran's obsession with marriage. Our responses (26) gave the episode a 6.9 overall, a 7.8 for the comedy, and a 6.8 for romance.
Some comments received were:
Not the best nanny I have ever seen, although it has some funny parts at breakfast and at the end...
I thought it was a funny episode! I liked it because it showed how desperate Fran was to get married. It was a gross thought to be kissing your cousin but funny because they had no idea and it was a totally unexpected ending.
Very funny!
I really liked this one
it was cool and i was really surpriced i mean who wants to marry a cousin! it was really good it proves that the nanny is verry original.
great. two thumbs way up
Nice ep! Very funny when she finds out that her boyfriend is her cousin. LOL
I love Fran!!!!!
this isn't one of my favourites, but i can't point out any bad things about this episode either.
I LOVE JON STEWART
was bad
Not my favorite but it had some good Max moments: Max comparing his Porsche to Bob's, quizing Fran about how she felt about Bob and of course consoling her after she discovers she's been dating her cousin.
Not bad! I love the part when Fran comes back from the wedding and Mr Sheffields suggests that she should go to therapy! I actually thought he was gonna say something romantic, but obviously not!
This is a hard vote for me. I have totally different feelings about it in retrospect in syndicate than I did when it first aired. *Now*, I can watch it and find it funny and think "This isn't so terrible". But *then*, it was a totally different reaction. We all watched that night and shook our heads in wonder and said to each other "What the hell was THAT?" hoping it was an aberation. It wasn't, and the rest of the season (and quite a bit of the next one) followed the same path of wildly cartoony plotlines, ridiculous hair and clothing (before, it was just this side of possible--after this, not.), an outrageously desperate Fran with no self confidence (very different than the Nanny that came to save the family and provided therapy for the Sheffields), and a Maxwell character that was as changable as the wind. Ask most old time fan what really killed the Nanny, and the answer will be the terrible late fourth- early fifth season. They never could recover the audience that was lost during this horrible year. And "Kissing Cousins" gets the distiction and blame for being the first in this trend.
Not one of my favorites, but you can't win 'em all. It does however go into why Fran needs therapy in order to get over her marital status, (Or lack there of!)
I agree totally with the previous comment. This episode was, in my opinion, the beginning of the end.
Didn't like this one at all, much, either. Sort of gross in a way. I found it hard to believe that Fran wiht her whole 'family' thing (Cousin this, Uncle that) was unaware that she had a cousin Bob who was a doctor! If he was that far 'removed' then it wouldn't be illegal anyway!
I love Jon Stewart!! He was really good in this episode as well as Fran. I though that it was an interesting turn of events when they found out they were cousins. It was one of the best episodes!!!
This was really not a very good episode. I agree with many of the comments that have already been made- esp. the one saying we just sat & shook our heads over the newest turn of events and the decidedly UNROMANTIC thing Maxwell said to Fran. (Therapy?!). BIG Disappointment!!

well, this IS a pretty cute episode. it has comedy, romance, everything u need for another half hour of fun. one of my fav. moments: cc finds out that brighton is her " fabulous man she met on internet", lol. nnnow, i cant remember anything else from there, but it'll come to me, promise.
I loved the part where Fran was eating dinner with Val and C.C. and her hair caught on fire and she fell off of the booth, and when she was dancing by herself... I just thought it was histerical! A 10!
I loved this ep! It's perfect for both Max/Fran and Niles/CC fans. That scene at the end where Max asks Niles where CC is and he answers "Stepping out with my baby." Who doesn't love that lonely tone in his voice. And Max isn't any better. I wish I could play solitare like that!
Nice episode and cute at the end...
One of my favourites of the fourth season!I love the comedy and also the fun in this episode.I gave a nine in every rating.
I agree that this ep it´s perfect for Fran/Max-CC/Niles fans. I love the girls being friends.
This was not one of my favorite episodes. Just another show.
A pretty good episode with a nice storyline behind it, but a little too cartoony in the execution. Who sits in a restuarant and makes out like that? Certainly not C.C. Babcock. But the girls being friends and the Porsche Puppy stuff was nice, and the end was sweet.
This is an okay one, but not the best!! The end is sooo romantic!
Funny! CC actually got a date
Not one of the best episodes, but okay!! :) :) I love the part with Fran, Val and C.C. in the restaurant!! :)
This was an episode that I'd almost forgotten about. The ending was cute but the main story line just didn't hold my interest. Just an aside: there's a good out take that I believe is from this one on the gag and outtakes video. A doorbell sound effect is accidently heard on stage while everyone is dancing in the restaurant scene. Everyone looks around surprised and laughing before Fran announces : I'll get it.
Regardless of the eps. I love them all!!!! anytime fran & max are together anything can happen... But when Max said we can "be on our own together" I thought he was so adorable... But he is adorable any and all the time.. Niles of course is the cutest butler in the world, and when he talks about his "baby" it's absolutley the best of the best.. c.c. is a very lucky lady!!!!
This was not one of my favorite episodes, but it had it's moments. Niles absolutely stole the show in this one with lines like, "Miss Babcock should be here. She's my home entertainment center", telling Grace "Happy hour doesn't start 'til you go home- see, it just doesn't work with her" and (to Max), "If we get our hair done at the same time, we can talk under the dryers"! LOL!LOL! Also, I've always thought the way Max said 'stay home and fix yourself a bloody pita pocket' was hysterical! I have no idea why- I guess it's just the way he says it. Even though the end was cute, (F: being on our own, together? That could work!), this episode was still lacking something.
It was OK. Not great, not horrible. Some funny things --- Porschpuppy, the card games, the 'swinging' couple who wanted Fran to join them! However, Like someone else commented, too much of it was 'cartoonish' or overdone. Fran's desperation is a long cry from the wise, caring Nanny she used to be. Where are the children? The show is 'The Nanny' not the 'Husband Hungry'!
WHY CANT MAX JUST MAKE THE COMMITMENT. THEY ARE BOTH SO MISERABLE, BUT FUNNY. GOOD EPISODE, BUT NOT A GREAT ON.

A few of our comments from the original airing:
Well, I was all set to rate this another "vanilla" episode (not bad, but not really memorable) when ... it happened! The last scene, with CC and Niles dancing together, was beautiful. For all the lustful interludes that have been scripted throughout the show's history, IMO, *this* was the sexiest scene ever. (Max and Fran's dance in Kindervelt Days is a close second) Subtle, romantic, classy; and not cheesy nor out-of-character -- the barbs were still there, but now they've taken on a whole new meaning. And boy, doesn't this scene just *beg* for speculation about the rest of the evening? I forsee a "Continue the Scene" flood about to happen. ;-) I give the show a 6/10, and that scene a 10/10.
I thought this week's show didn't use it's full potential. They are confusing me with Fran and Max's realtionship. Are they together or not? I thought that the scenes between Niles and CC were cute, if only they could do that last scene with Fran and Max. Oh, well maybe next week's will be better, this is a sweeps month. We'll see. This episode on a scale from 1-10 get's a 4/10.
I agree that this episode was a "vanilla" episode. Nothing very memorable happened, and I must say, Charles Shaughnassy didn't play a very memorable drunk. He was good at first, but afterwards he kinda slipped out of the character. And what happened to his hang over? I am also confused about their relationship. Up to the point when Sylvia told him a "clouded" version of what happened with Dr. Miller, it seemed that Maxwell was not very interested in or with Fran. In fact, he was mad at her, when he was the one who said he loved Fran. Let's face it, if Maxwell had trade places with Fran, he probably would've said, "what the bloody hell is going on here", instead of her "OH MY GOD!" I just don't get it, but I was a little pleased when he was going to beat up that therapist. Even though he misinterpreted what happened, it was a very chivalrous thing to do that still proved that he cared deeply for Fran. I think we all agree that that last scene with Niles and C.C. was very pleasing. In proper fashion it was humorous and romantic at the same time. Which is a must if it has to be between them. I'd say that overall the ending was better than most of the show..... And I must say I was totally wrong on my assumption of what the "disgusting habit" was..... I'd give the last scene a 10+/10 and the episode a 6.5/10.....

Our responses (30) gave the episode a 7.5 overall, a 7.6 for the comedy, and a 7.3 for romance.

Very cute en nice episode1 This is a real Nanny!
well, its funny. the whole confusion with the therapist is funny. i liked the episode overall, and the very ending was cute, though unexpected
Nice episode. Loved the part at the end where Niles rips up the check, and takes her there for free - very romantic! I thought the entire concept was really good. An 8.
This episode was very good on the comedy level, with a number of really funny lines. Already the beginning was hilarious, with Fran's reaction to seeing Max and Danielle kissing. The whole misunderstanding about Dr. Miller was great as well, and I also liked the end, which showed that Niles and C.C. actually do get along sometimes.
Oy, this really is a great episode! I just love that one!! Hee hee, especially in the beginning when Fran caught Max and Danielle. :) "Ya know, I have three kids upstairs that you are responsible for!" It was so funny!!! :) :)
Just another example of how low the fourth season episodes would stoop for a joke. No point to it at all. The scene in the office when Max thought he was defending Fran's honor and the line about the institution was cute though.
I think that this one is a great episode-it's just not my favorite! I think that it's a bit unrealistic that she would make such a big deal that he picked his nose, but I think that when Mr.Sheffield stood up for her it was very romantic!
It was so sweet that Max was concerned about Fran. I was not really crazy about this episode, but that part was funny!
Nice ep! Love the end of this ep! the best part of it all!
I liked this one. I loved seeing Max getting all macho and wanting to protect Fran's
honor. The whole 'the doc put his hands where he shouldn't' and Maxwell jumping to the wrong
conclusions was very funny.
Plus the Niles and CC jibes. Her teasing him about having a boyfriend. Him getting annoyed at
the way she waved the tickets in front of his face. The cute baiting they did to one another at
the foyer table was one of the best Niles and CC exchanges. And that dance at the end was very
romantic. I just wish they would have thrown us more bones like that concerning their
relationship.
I don't know how to note this episode. The story with Fran and dr Miller picking his nose is laughable and not funny. But the last scene with Niles and CC dancing together is one of my favorites. It's funny, romantic but not mushy. Well, I give 7,6 and 9 (the romance note is for Niles and CC).
The last scene when Niles and CC were dancing. Nice to see their relationship bloosom.
As a big Niles/CC fan I loved the ending of this episode, so romantic!!! We should have seen more of this. Who knows what would happen [ oh yes, the nose, of course.
very good !!!I have nothing to say because i'm brazilian and I dont speak english very well !!!sorry :)))
Niles and CC are so romantic in this episode. I just melted. After they were teasing each other earlier in the ep (which was typical N/CC - hysterical!) to have that lovely little romantic interlude -- the writers were teasing US! I was starving to know what happened on that date!
Pretty good... some great scenes and some not so great. Nothing much more. Another one without the kids, though!
Quirky but fun. Max confronting Dr. Miller was pretty funny and Niles and CC's dance was a pleasant change to see.
it was great and funny!!!!!!!! i like it alooooot
It was a nice ep. I love the Niles and C.C. scene.
i love the nanny she is os pretty and i want to just like fran drescher when i grow up!!!
I liked this ep MUCH better when rewatching it than I did when it was actually on. The comedy was really good with several funny lines and Max & Fran throwing food at each other at different times was also funny. Niles' line to Grace about "need some Kaopectate for that diahrrea of the mouth" was a riot! The mix-up between what actually happened vs. what Max thought happened really was pretty good. The look on Max's face when he found out what Dr. Miller really did was hysterical! Loved the ending with the guy in the waiting room and Fran telling Max "He...just happens to be one of the most respected marriage counselors in the business!" LOL!! Liked her hair at the beginning when she was in Dr. Miller's office with the checkered suit. Overall, good ep.
I love Fran Drecher and would like to see maggies wedding again because i missed it!
Pretty good. I loved the part when Fran catches Max kissing Danielle. Through that part I was jumping up and down yelling at Max to stop kissing that stupid bimbo. Nobody can beat our Fran!!!!

A few of our comments from the original airing:
This has to be one the the top three "most disappointing episodes" of the season! I mean, it was Valentine's Day, for God's sake, and all they did was fight! {Editor's comment: And not even a 'hot' fight!} There wasn't even a good make-up scene at the end to console us! I hope they get these two back on track soon before they start to lose viewers! The only positive element in the whole show was the exchange between Niles and C.C. That was cute and well done. I give the whole thing a 2/10.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz ... a few funny lines ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... CC and Niles were cute ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... Max is now officially a jerk ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... one LOUSY Valentine's Day episode ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... the execution was painstakingly sllllooowwww ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ...3/10
I liked it. I thought it was funny. I loved the scene when she was let out of the bank and she runs to Max. ADORABLE. There were very few funny lines I agree and If this is a comedy show at least make it funny. All in all I thougt it was pretty good. 6/10
The office scenes were hilarious! They were so funny.. I also did not get what CC said. But, I did hear what Niles said... I believe Tina already said it... Anyways, I loved it when Max said that he didn't want them in the same room anymore, and then Niles and CC looked at each other and asked, "Why?" Then as Max got angry, "What?".. Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane make such a great team. I also would've liked Niles to give CC something... And what was up with that stupid card? He's truly an idiot if he didn't understand how cruel it was... I mean, even when he told Niles about the card, Niles realized how horrible it was. Peter Scolari, played such a great bankrobber... He was so funny! Anyways, I hope that in the next episode, the writers will add something for Niles and CC.....

Our responses (39) gave the episode a 8.1 overall, a 8.5 for the comedy, and a 7.3 for romance.
Some comments received were:
this is the best episode-- i don't know why though
I love Renee´s performance on this episode, is the best of all!!
pretty good ep overall, but ax's comment near the end left us wanting more- it was kind of left hanging! Fran's card at the end was cute and funny, but thier romance at this part in the show was so frustrating!
The romantic aspects are a little bit disappionting.. but the scenes at the bank and outside the bank and the end were very funny. Nice episode!
This was a great episode, loved the cards that they gave each other for Valentine's Day!
This one was a bit boring. Yes it was funny, but so much of it happened in the bank and was about stuff that I couldn't really care about. Not very romantic for a Valentine's Day show. Compare it to the year before's VD show--not too much movement in the relationship in that episode either, but it was WAY more romantic in tone.
it was ok, not the best
I love this ep.Fran and Max (with short haircut!) are looking so gorgeous!!!!Above this fact the show is full of funny gags and also full of romantic aspects. I love the part when Yetta wants to tell Maxwell what happened with Fran and her mother and she forgets it - the same thing afterwards as Yetta wants to tell it Maggie and Brighton. There are many little romantic scenes for example as Max tells Fran in front of the bank that he is not sorry that he told her that he loves her or at the end of the show as Maxwell is so happy that Fran gives him a valentinescard. Comparing the eps of the first season and the ones of the following seasons people can see how every caracter have been changed over the six years. And of course I mean that very positive!
I think this show was really good, because I loved the fact that the criminal had no clue how to make a robbery.
this is a very good episode. i liked probably everything about. i have no idia why it got into me so bad, but i know that its mostly the romance. its really great!
This is one of my favorites for comic reasons. I love the part when Sylvia repeats Leslie Tilbert the robbers name, when Fran looks in the camera and says "maid", when Leslie say's I will have to gag you two and the other hostage say's "will you",when Sylvia tells Leslie that she is a "Hippogly...., when Sylvia tells Leslie to take the money, when Sylv tells Fran "he is going to have a lot of money", and "That's My Nanny". I could go on and on about the comic refrences in this episode. Some of my friends do not care for this one...what do they know...ha
What a terrible valentines day episode!! A typical season four show!
good show !!!
An okay episode but nothing extraordinary.
I'd give it an eight overall, but a nine for the comedy aspect. It was funny, already at the beginning, although I couldn't quite believe Max would give such a card to Fran! I especially liked the interaction between Fran and Leslie, the bank-robberer. Needing the money to buy an appartment in Florida for his mother - just fantastic! And the talk on the phone between Leslie and Max was great, as well as Yetta trying to tell everybody about the robbery. One last thing - I don't really like Fran's wig - I prefer her big hair!
Great episode, when Sylvia says" he is not wearing a ring" LOL. And Niles outside the bank "why dont you send her a card" LOL. I am from Belgium, and this was the second higest rated episode with a share of 30%.
Without Yetta this episode didn't have much, although the cards were OK. I can just imagine (NOT) the police letting someone just come up and take their magaphone! Another one without much with the kids --- although Gracie was a great support for Yetta!
I am a german school-girl and I love the nanny sooooooooooo much!!!!
I thought this was one of the funniest episodes! It is in my top ten of favorites.
there were some typically charming nanny moments here, and sylvia had some good lines. I always like when they integrate a holiday of any kind into an episode, so it was nice to see the uncomfortable relationship between max and fran on valentine's day. overall though, this one doesn't do that much for me.
~:)))
I enjoyed the part where the robber was talking to Max on the phone and trying to explain that Fran was just a little hurt and didn't want to talk to him. Actually the entire part with the inept robber was pretty funny. I missed the romance, but enjoyed the comedy in this one.
I love the show but lately I have'nt seen much of it , but that episode was very enjoyable.
As has already been pointed out, this one had some great comedic moments: Peter Scolari (perfectly cast) as the bumbling bank robber, any scene with Yetta, Niles' zinger to C.C. when she commented she was dating herself, and Niles said, "even YOU can do better than YOU!" and last but definitely not least, Max pointing out all the major blunders he'd made during M/Fr relationship and then says to himself, "Oh, shut up, you blithering idiot!" LOL!! VERY touching when Max realized if something awful would happen to Fran during the robbery, he couldn't live with himself knowing the last thing he said to her. Very sweet ending with Fran and Max running into each others' arms apologizing all over the place. I would like to have heard the conversation AFTER they got home and Fran gave Max HIS card. (Fanfic op!?). Great episode overall!
This episode was absolutely hilarious. I loved it. Peter Scolari is a great actor, and he was perfect as the bumbling thief. The interplay between Fran, Renee/Sylvia and Peter was so funny. I never tire of this ep! Considering almost all sitcoms had a token bank robbery episode, this one put a clever spin on it.
This episode was hilarious! I especially liked it how the bank robber was doing this to get rid of his mother

Good show! Funny part about "The Thing" nice funny and cute episode at the sametime....
A ray of sunshine in an otherwise dismal 4th season. It spawned the hilarious line: "I am the meat in an idiot sandwich" (thank you, Flo) and an hysterical moment: Sylvia breaking the desk. LOL! Very witty/clever ep.
An okay episode-not great. Max'line about "which arm tingles" was the funniest moment
Overall this was not a very good ep, but CC rocked. One of my fave CC lines ever: "I'm the meat in an idiot sandwich." The plot was just dumb.
Love this episode, especially in the beginning when Niles and Fran are dancing! So cute!
Again funny and entertaining, not really romantic, but very good dialogues. The best ones for me: "Do you like sensitive guys?" -"Yes, I used to be one" and "Niles, which arm tingles...?" On the other hand, I didn't really like Sylvia's part this time. I don't know why, maybe it was just a bit too exaggerated. Oh, and I'm really missing Fran's old, curly hairstyle!
ya know how there are some episodes that aren't important in the plot, but you remember them, not from reruns, but just because they stayed in your mind clearly for a long time? and then u see it first played in reruns and it gives you this great feeling of bringing back those memories that you didn't think you remembered? this is that. the idiot sandwich and sylvia were highlights. and the tag scene was terrific
I didn't care for this one much. There were a few bright spots such as Max reacting with horror as he watched the TV news of the trial, Sylvia's outrageous behaviour in the Sheffield home while Fran was on jury duty and the finale scene with Max and Fran, but otherwise it was a below average ep.
This made two great episodes in a row! I cannot find my tape of this right now, but I remember I thought it was hilarious and romantic. I had forgotten about Sylvia sitting on the desk (LOL!), but I do remember one of the jurors asking C.C. if she liked a sensitive guy and she said, "I used to be one!" Having Fran on a jury was a great idea in itself, but it also gave her the chance to take a more objective look at 'the thing' and allowed her to understand it better. Good ep overall!
I gotta say the votes so far have surprised me. Most of you seem to like Bank Robbery better than this one? Not me. The two are pretty similiar in tone in that a lot of the action happens outside the house, but this one to me is much funnier. This one is Lauren's night to shine, and she didn't get many opportunities for that. We got several good comic moments and at least one romantic one. While I'm not saying this is a ten episode, I would rank it higher than most of the late fourth season.
I think "The Nanny" is a great family show! I've watched ever since it aired on Nov. 3 1993. I loved to whole cat and mouse thing Max and Fran had and I love how C.C. and Niles kept fighting. They are so funny!!! I've seen every show except the the Christmas Show 3.13!!! Keep up the good work!!
I may be in the minority here, but I think this is one of the better comic episodes of "The Nanny" -- Fran and Max's ongoing relationship struggles are present throughout, but we don't have to watch them whining at one another (as we did for way too much of the fourth season). C.C. gets most of the best lines here, but I think the jury-duty setup and the romance-novel jokes add up to a relatively entertaining "plot," too. Fran's attitude at the end isn't too consistent with her behavior elsewhere in this season, but that's nothing new.
Another one which didn't do much for me. A few great lines (idiot sandwich is one!) but other than that another silly episode which showed didn't paint 'the nanny (Fran)' in a good light.
Not the best but an acceptable one
For me this ep is one of the best and one of the funniest.I am really surprised by the results because the most shows of the 4th season are included in my personal favourite top ten list. This one is certainly in the upper half. Full of funny statements and I love the end, when Maxwell and Fran are standing there in a close hug...
I love that eposide. I loved the outfits in it. It was a sheer enchantment! Two thumbs up
I loved this episode. Fran being a juror was hysterical. But her mom being the nanny was even funnier.
Fran learns firsthand that lice can be murder when she and the kids are afflicted with them. But what's really killing her is the belief that Niles is a homicidal maniac, since she finds a threatening note. Written by: Nastaran Dibai and Jeffrey B. Hobes. Fred: Fred Stoller |

This one has funny parts, specially in the beginning... also the black and white scene it nice!
I don't have this one on tape, but I think I can remember that it was quite good overall. Especially the Fran/Niles plot was very funny.
I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THE NANNY ME AND MY MOM WATCH IT EVERY NIGHT TOGETHER.THE SHOW IS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS ME AND MY MOM DO TOGETHER.
The nanny is great, but I am so sad because, in Mexico the program finished. I would like that the "The Nanny" can be sold. I am from Torreón, Coahuila. And in this city there are several americans that like so much the program. and We will never forget FRAN and THE OTHERS STARRINGS.
I thought this was an OK episode. Fred always cracked me up, but it wasn't particularly romantic. I like seeing Fran as Nanny and showing Max he should be more fatherly, but as old as Maggie is it seems kind of contrived.
When I first saw this one I found it pretty dull and was quite disappointed in the episode. Viewing it again didn't change my opinion much. The only redeeming features were the black and white scene and the sub plot with Fran thinking Niles was plotting to kill someone.
The best episode ever ! Especially when Fran and Val are in Niles bedroom.
As much as I hate to admit it, this is a very classic episode, no matter how silly the plot is...which makes it that much more funnier to watch in the reruns! Practically the only really funny part of this entire ep was when Fran had the lice and she was complaining about how the little critters could penetrate through a layer of Gel, moose, and finally the inner core. I can relate totally!
Another not so favorite. It had a few 'cute' things. Max' reaction to Niles' play was one of them. Otherwise, just not very appealing to me. However, it was nice to see a little bit more of the kids!
Good episode!! Love how Fran was snooping in Niles room. Very Funny!!!
