Our responses (99) gave the episode a 8.5 overall, a 8.1 for the comedy, and a 8.3 for romance.

Words cannot describe how I felt about tonight'sep. It had everything. Pathos, high/low comedy. tradegy. It could not have been more perfect. I have never been so moved by this show. I laughed, I cried (BOY, did I cry! Having been there myself). The RPTFL moments were so many I hope I don't forget anyone- Yetta/Brighton, Niles/CC. And Sylvia -she was perfect what a wonderful, wonderful actress. Gracie's writing was super. She has developed into a fantastic baby sister. She and Maggie make a great pair! Max's look at the end of Act 2 was priceless- a classic comedic moment. And Fran.... what can I say about her? If she is overlooked by the Emmy board. they should have their hearing aids checked. The ensemble, the writers, the TPTB- the show gets better every week! (I keep saying the same thing every week!) But this show left me shaking and shaken. I never expected these feeling for a sitcom. This show goes beyond kudos. The best 30 minutes on television.

This was a 10 all across the boards!!!! Very very sad at the end. It had it all, comedy, all the kids were in it and Yetta was a hoot as usual. I'm looking forward to 6.8 and 6.9 from the looks of things this is a four parter and she finds out she is pregnant again in ep.6.9 which is the ep the Wed before Thanksgiving and I looked on shows coming up and Nora Dunn is in it again and she's the one who has been playing ob/gyn so I HOPE in the Making Woopie ep she gets pregnant again and finds out in ep 6.9. This is one of the best sitcoms on tv and I think the way they are going there will be a 7th season. It keeps getting better and better every week!!

I surmise that Fran may have miscarried; however, one never knows what the writers have in mind, as it's to be continued. I liked the way Max was comforting her in the hospital-very romantic!

OK, the nanny is the only show i watch on TV, but are we turning into a Drama?? But i loved this episode, the only thing thing that got me mad was the on going "To be continued"....I hate that

Heh, I don't know, can't say I liked it too much. And at the end it was *soo* sad... Didn't do too much laughs for me either. Here's REALLY hoping for next week!

Well this was certainly a sad ep. But I am not complaing. Everyone once again was involved. What can I say. Fran's acting supurb as with Charlie's. Yetta and Brighton. Niles as a Red Head. There was romance in this ep. But not the kind most would asociate. But, with Max confessing his love for Fran and what she means to him. Yes, I know he has said it before, but, this time you Feel it.. Absolutly loved the show.

Another excellent ep. This dramatic ending stuff is wearing me out but I'm loving it. What a November! Fran is so great she deserves some recognition. Max calling Sylvia Mom was fantastic. Brighton and Yetta were so cute together. Niles and CC are obviously so absorbed in torturing each other they have to get together and soon. Everyone is being used perfectly. It doesn't get any better than this.

Well, I'm not sure how to even rate this one. I'm really split.... Good stuff: 1. Act I 2. Sylvia 2a. Sylvia and Max 3. Fran (as always) 4. Niles and CC (ditto) 5. a few LOL moments, esp. when Fran missed the door and ad libbed her way out of it :-D
Bad stuff: 1. Act II 2. too many plots for one script - the Yetta/Brighton thing was a complete waste 3. ANOTHER unresolved Niles/CC thread (see 3a) 3a. ANOTHER wasted tag scene 4. the miscarriage was a bit too soap opera-ish for my taste 5. Niles - what the heck happened to him??? One week he's a cool hunk and the next he's a flaming queen Totally a split decision for me, so I guess it's a 5/10.

I thought it was very sweet!! I about cried when the doctor told Fran and Maxwell that she was so sorry!! Yetta and Briton we funny together and Niles and C.C. were also.

Overall a disappointment...particularly following last week which IMHO was one of the best eps yet. It was nice to see Max and Sylvia comforting each other, and Brighton "granny sitting" Yetta. The Niles / CC banter was ok (although the hair thing was hideous)... Otherwise, I thought this ep uneven and neither all that funny or romantic...and not just because the topic was a bit of a downer....

Daniel Davis was absolutely brilliant, as was Lauren Lane. 'Nuf said

Wonderful acting by Fran! That woman brings serious tears to my eyes. Max and Sylvia with the "Mom" moment was so precious. LOL on Niles all the way through--he was a RIOT! And the Brighton/Yetta subplot was so FUNNY and TOUCHING all at the same time. These episodes just keep getting better and better! The closeups on Niles and C.C.'s faces in the kitchen were ROTFL!!

I thought this was a wonderful show. The comedy was carried by the supporting cast and the drama was supplied by Fran and Max. It was a great mix. Everyone had a major part except Maggie but hers was last week. I think this show just gets better and better. I thought a miscarriage was perhaps a little heavy for a sitcom but they carried it off with grace and sensitivity. It was nice to finally have Niles address Fran by name and I thought it was touching how much he cares for her, refering to her as his best friend and setting Max straight. I give it a 9.

I've decided to be as positive as I can. I enjoyed the scene between Max and Sylvia. I love the theme from "Romeo and Juliet" for Brighton and Yetta. And Maggie's line about Niles not telling anyone was on target. The rest of the show was weak in my opinion. The set up reeks of "ratings ploys". Oh when will writers learn viewers do have SOME brains. Sorry after last week I felt left down.

Straight 10's from me ! I thought it was a terrific episode. Emmy voters should now be asking "Helen Who ?" Fran just keeps getting better & better. ( & It would be pretty nice to see Charles, Daniel & Lauren get some well deserved recognition too ! )
It's fairly rare to see a sit-com successfully employ such extreme comedic & dramatic elements within a half hour & still maintain high quality & great entertainment but I think they've done it. Excellent work everyone!

I thought this show was much better than last week's, when I called it a letdown :) I admire the way the writers are mixing in a heavier subject, but doing it tastefully. Yay for developing relationships! (Niles and Fran, Max and Sylvia, Yetta and...the kids) Keep it coming, TPTB!

I really liked it, but I'm getting tired of the "to be continued"s. They sure know how to get someone hooked! 8

Once again- very uneven with a mixture of great laughs and some rather silly parts (Niles and the hair thing). The Yetta incident was hilarious as usual. The way the writers are milking Fran's big announcement is kind of a disappointment- dragging it out over 4 episodes due to the lack of other original plot lines. Sylvia's scene with Charles was sweet and she is always the best part of the show. I hope next week's Hollywood Squares episode is not as trite as it sounds. Originality is desperately needed here to sustain the show. Again, focus more on the very talented and funny supporting players.

I liked this episode but I agree that it was rather sad at the end for a nanny episode but the acting was good by all involved. Looking forward to finding out if Fran has a miscarriage or not.

I loved this one...like they had said before it had everything... though it took me the second time to watch that Niles had called Fran by her first name, it's about time! I knew from the tv guide for next week that something was going to happen to the baby...but it was still so sad to watch. Max and Sylvia moment was touching...and of couse everything was great! I think this episode has emmy-calibur(sp?) and I give 10's across the board!

Wow........ somehow, that sums it up for me. This was fabulous--what a kick in the gut. An intentional, good, 'savor the moment' kick in the gut. I for one will enjoy pondering the possibilities till next week.

WHOA!!! This ep beat the pants off of I Don't Remember Mamma and An Affair To Dismember! (and that's saying a lot!) It was BEYOND great! Thank God they didn't give away the ending in the CBS description, or else it would have been completely ruined. I was in such shock with the scene at the park and more so in the final one. Whoa! I don't remember ever being surprised by the show like this. It's the third time an ep brings tears to my eyes (after 1.22 and 5.22). If I could give it an 11/10 I would! It's going down as one of my favorites! (Do these people know how to work their way through the sweeps or what!?) Oh! and Fran missing the door: priceless! ;-)

I have mixed feelings about this episode. I thought it was generally amusing (though not hilarious like last week's), and the unexpected scene between Max and Sylvia was especially touching. But I feel like the writers are manipulating the viewers (for ratings) with this pregnancy storyline. Why did Fran have to have a miscarriage? This is a sitcom, not a daytime drama. I hope this doesn't mean we have to wait till February sweeps for the actual pregnancy. At this rate, Fran won't have the baby this season...and I'm afraid, judging by the ratings, that there won't be a next season. I just hope this doesn't turn into another Mad About You, with Fran & Max trying all season to get pregnant. Hopefully all of my feelings are unfounded and Fran will get pregnant in the next couple of episodes so we can move on with the fun stuff, like Fran getting wide. :)

Looking forward to the next episode, so great, congratulations fran!!

Well! I feel as if I'm riding a roller coaster after all of THIS! I went from, "Gee, do we really WANT a baby so soon?" to "Aw, look how happy she is! A baby will be fun!" to "NO! She can't have LOST it!" :-) This one had it's funny bits (Niles with the red hair, "Burton" & "Frankie," Niles & Max - all LOL!!), and it's sweet bits, (Brighton & Yetta, the hospital scenes ), but the ending was even sadder then last week's! -- Although, I kinda like the whole "to be continued" concept during the sweeps period. A pretty good show, not as good as last weeks', but still good. Can't wait to see how this all works out.

I didn't know how to rate this one. The funny parts were ROTFLMAO. the serious parts almost made me cry. The romantic parts were great too. But there is something that just bugs me about how Fran and Max don't have any fun anymore. In the last few eps, Fran and Max have been the heavies on the show while the ensemble carried the comedy. Don't get me wrong, Fran and Charlie are superb actors and can handle great drama. And the rest of the cast is excellent at comedy, but I long for the days when Fran and Max could have fun. They could bicker or chase each other or do something that didn't end up depressing me. I hope that soon we will get more of Fran and Max having fun, thats what I tune for.

I have to say I really did enjoy this episode. I thought it was really well written and well acted on everyone's part. I was totally guessing as to what was gonna happen with Fran and the baby and I really thought Fran did a great job with all the drama stuff. I actually like the continuing storyline.. it keeps you guessing. I'm almost positive it's a mis-carraige but who knows eh!? Anyways... I have to say that i was very impressed this week.

I thought this episode was amazing! Straight 10's across the board for me! Keep up the great work! :-)

Found it unbelievable that Maxwell was that dense that he didn't know with all her clues that Fran was pregnant much, much earlier in their conversation and I don't believe he would act so insensitively. Everything seemed so contrived. Nice B story with Brighton and Yetta.

Good episode. This show had a bit of everything. C.C. and Niles were hilarious as always as were Brighton and Yetta. Max calling Sylvia, "Mom", was so sweet. The ending was sad and I really wasn't expecting it to turn out that way, but I think it was very well done. And these "to be continued..." episodes are torture!

It was slightly above average. Good Things: Max calling Sylvia Mom. Niles called Fran Fran. Yetta sweet as always. Max screwing up but showing his caring side in the end. Not so Good Things: The soap opera endings the last few episodes. The CC/Niles slave/hair dye stuff serious deja vu. All in all I was moved but felt somewhat guilty about it. More comedy soon please!

Well, last week I said that Maxwell had better do a good job of making it up to Fran & in my book he did an awesome job. OK, so I feel like I'm being strung along, but so far it has been worth it. Although the scenes between Fran & Maxwell were great (particularly the ending) I almost think the encounter between Maxwell & Sylvia in the hospital waiting room stole the show. And I for one loved Niles -- from his "Pippi Longstocking" to his excitement for the baby.....and Brighton and Yetta with Gracie acting as puppetmaster was wonderful. Can hardly wait until next week!

this was a beautiful episode. they wrote the tragedy in at the end (i think they tend to do this a lot, they put the big bang in at the end) which is nice so then we have a whole episode of comedy first. It was so sad at the end, and i love that such a cartoonish show can manage to bring seriousness in as well as they do. The show has really transformed this season, and i think its a change for the better. The whole thing was so well done. i loved the niles/cc and brighton and yetta were hylarious!

I never ever thought that I should cry, while I was looking at The Nanny. It has always made me laugh, but this time I thought it was just like wathching Sunset beach, and boy do I hate that. The acting was great, but you don't cry, while you are wathching a Nanny show. Why, I always enjoyed seen it, It was the best - until this week. I do not want to cry, I want to smile! Understand!!!

I'm still bawling my eyes out over this one, I never would have expected an end like that, even though the TV Guide mentioned something about trying to concieve. I hope she gets pregnant again soon because even Nanny math can be stretched so far with a pregnancy, especially if the baby is born on the season finale, and please, no more heartbreak. Of course, if the writing continues to be this good, the show could go on forever. The comedy between the rest of the ensemble was fabulous, especially when CC found out about the pregnancy. Straight tens across the board.

I liked this episode, but once again they left the Niles/CC story hanging - no attempt at resolution. But I realize there were more important matters at hand. I'll keep my comments focused on the sub-plots. Yetta & "Burton" were just adorable. Glad to see Yetta getting so much screen time. As for Niles/CC - hoo hah. I absolutely love those two. Man, did CC play him or what? She has gotten the best of him so far this season and Niles doesn't really seem to mind (thank God)!!! Keep those barbs flying (and maybe, just maybe a little romance in the NEAR future). One observation about Niles. I do feel like his character has moved a little closer to "Clown" status in the past 2 seasons (his red hair only drove that point home to me). I don't really mind but would love to see more 3rd/4th season Niles. He's still fabulous though. By the way, when Max tells Niles about the baby and Niles says "you stud how quick was that".......is it my imagination or was that a dead on impersonation of Sylvia? Go back and watch him walk over to Max. Cute Cute Cute d:)

Whoa, if I could describe my feeelings right now!! I mean this episode was unvelievable, and they sure know how to get us tuning in. Great thing the ratings are boosting up, an we are becoming the only show to keep trough the night cause CH is going down along with maggie and to have and to hold, so we are soing great. Plus I think its good they put in a little dram come on not everything is always sweet, and with this kind of storylines we are apprroaching a more extense market. great job guys keep it up!! Fran you are really gonna get it this year, remember the third time is a charm!!

I wasn't especially fond of the comic or romantic elements, but I was pleased to see just a little (light drama?!) different tone.

i like this ep. despite an awkward first qaurter. it really built with yet again great use of the entire ensemble. i don't think it is that surprising that TN can move us, the characters are so likable and we are now so familiar with all their quirks and personalities and Fran has always prtrayed TN's vulnerable side. she is constantly impressing me with her portrayal and if she is overlooked this year for an Emmy nod (can't belive she got snubbed last year) Hunt will have to pay. Renee Taylor was brilliant(as always) and that moment with Max made up for last weeks misstep with the Mother reference. it's a shame if is not doing better in the ratings, but i suspect this storyline will increase viewership. kudos to the writers and the direction is quite good. 8/10

Wonderful episode! I love the character development this season; you can really see the entire ensemble becoming a family. Absolutely adored the moments between Max & Sylvia (he SO needs a mother!) and Brighton & Yetta. Max & Fran were just heartbreaking in the last scene. The ending was a complete shocker, and as someone else said, a real kick in the gut. But I haven't given up hope yet. Tests can be wrong. And Fran *does* have a big announcement next week!

This was SUCH a GREAT episode!! (I've watched it 3 times!). It was touching(Max & Sylvia), it was funny (Niles & CC, and Brighton & Yetta were hysterical!, the end was a total surprise, and especially, it was romantic. From Fran and Max in the bedroom and then the way he comforted her in the hospital- I wanted to melt! I agree, the show is getting better and better every week. Taking a serious subject and handling it so delicately says a lot for the writers and the cast. Can't wait for the next 2 weeks! Also, love the promos in-between commercials.

Whoa, wait just a minute. What's happened to Niles' wardrobe? Now he's got the hair to go with the outfits? The past few seasons he's had to drown in nearly too big/too baggy suits/cardigans, and now so far this seaon his outfits(?),suits(?),whatever, look two sizes too small. Is C.C. in cahoots with the wardrobe director or is Niles just bucking for a raise? Geeze, give the guy some dignity by giving back the wardrobe he had in the first couple seasons. Like the song goes "Every Woman's Crazy 'Bout a Sharp Dressed Man".

This episode had everything. Just because it's a comedy doesn't mean it can't have drama (i.e. MASH, All In the Family...best tv comedies of all time and had lots of it). Why not TN? Even though we hate to see them in pain, that's life! It helps us identify with them more. Also, about Niles, (someone said he acted like a flaming queen) I don't think he acted Queenly at all. Since he doesn't have a personal life, he lives through the relationship between Fran and Max and he loves them. I think it makes him have a lot of character! Til next week!

i think the show was really amotional and sad but had some funny parts ( C.C. and Niles for instance ) but i wish they didn't do the to be continued i just wanna find out what happens ya know???? well it was really good

I really liked this, but in a different way that the last show. A double "to be continued" is another Nanny first! (Now other shows will try to copy this too.) Very clever. I REALLY like how we are getting the wonderful balance of the serious drama with everyone in character, but very funny , outlandish comedy too! Max and Sylvia bonding was great. Fran trying to tell Max was just fantastic, and Max is getting less clueless! The kids were wonderful, Yetta was priceless as always (but we lacked a line or comment from her to B. at the end) Bravo again Fran! That's why we love this show...Let's keep more of this coming.

The best part was the orange hair torture-thing between Niles and C.C. The rest was sad for Fran. Max came around in a great way, and was touching with "mom" Sylvia. Now that we are into the baby plot I guess that's all we will get to hear about.

A very good episode, a mix of the comic and bittersweet with all the cast wonderfully in character and some great moments. I loved the close-ups on Niles and C.C. when the secret gets revealed and the exchange between Niles and Maxwell in the study when Maxwell confesses that he's said the wrong things to Fran. I hadn't expected Maxwell to call Sylvia Mom-- but that came out just right too. About halfway through the episode I tumbled to what was going to happen, as the clues from the schedule for upcoming shows and the comments Fran and others have made in talk show appearances fell into place. The loving intereactions between Maxwell and Fran in the hospital were powerful, honest and realistic. As sad as Fran's reaction to her presumed miscarriage was, I ended up thinking that the Nanny team set up a plot arc that opens up good ideas for further episodes and makes sense in terms of the characters and their relationships. We've seen enough of the season now to realize the care, thought and intelligence that have informed these episodes. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I wish CBS would recognize the quality of the show and do a better job in promoting it. It would help too if audiences were smarter in what they choose to watch-- it should be The Nanny.

I thought it was brilliant of the writers to do this. It will open up story lines and gives them a real life situation to deal with.

Loved it. The whole Niles/CC storyline was halarious along with the Brighton/Yetta one. One thing I noticed from the past few eps is that the railing/bannister on the staircase isn't attached very securely. Call me crazy for even spotting it but rewatch this ep and 6.6 and you'll spot it if you look carefully.

Another very good one....I'm quite enjoying the more dramatic moments as well as the comedy. Like last week, it was good to use Yetta and Brighton to lighten the mood at the end. Yetta is a classic! Lots of kids involvement but Niles and red hair just really don't match, do they? Great moments from all the cast!

I loved this episode! Straight tens! My favourite line: "Now if you'll excuse me sir, I have to get something out of my hair." "Oh. You're going to lose the red, huh?" "Yeah. Right after I get rid of the blonde."

I thought it was great! I loved the end, with Brighton and Yetta, it was so hillarious!! I really enjoyed the dramatic parts of it, I found it so sweet near the end when Fran and Max were talking about what the baby will grow up like. All in all a terrific episode. 9/10!

This was terrific!! I had thought the Nanny had gone stale (I hadn't even bothered voting for a while there) but the past few weeks have really reversed my thinking. What a terrific, gripping episode! Can't wait until next week!

Definitely my favourite ep this season!!!!! Fun and sadness all together. "I hope he has my voice" LOL!!!! It was all in all very touching, both Fran and Charlie are great actors! I can go on and on about how great I thought this was.....but I don't want to bore you all...just wanna say that this one is a straight 10 to me!!!!

Loved it !!!!!!!! Only annoyed that channel 10 are sticking in a repeat Sunday, even though it's "To be continued" Straight 10's!!!!!!

This was another GREAT SHOW I hope the writers keep up the great work and the acting is also great! LOL, I saw that the show is pre-empted on Dec2nd for a Christmas special but we will be all the more ready the week after. And we still have next week, and I'm ready to see another show already. All I can saw to sum it up is GREAT,GREAT, GREAT, keep up the good work everyone and loooking forward to BABY after the December 2nd pre-emption.

All I can say is...HOO-HAH!! I loved it all! My all-time favorite part of this show is, of course, Niles/CC's moments. After they ate those "cookies", they were hilarious!! Gee, Niles looked extremely sexy!! I'm still flush with excitement! THE BEST!! And, of course, I felt for Fran and how she felt about the false pregnancy. It's a natural feeling for a woman. I gave this show all 10's!

It was ok. Maybe its just me, but the serious plot line was dropped so fast and on we went to the regular Nanny. Somehow, it didn't feel right. As for the conception part, that was classic Nanny and very funny. I don't know if I'd tell the child he/she was conceived in a dressing room of a game show. The Niles/CC thing was ok too but I'd like to see some geniune affection that doesn't come out of a bottle or a magic cookie. It's the sixth season and I think we should get some real movement in that direction.

This ep left me flat (as did most of the jokes). As good as last week was, I was disappointed with tonight's a great deal . It wasn't as G-dawful as 6.2 but it left much to be desired.
I felt that Fran looked and acted very desperate for a woman who was just starting out to conceive a child.(The acting in the beginning though was top-notch from all involved! Good move under the circumstances not to do the theme- Are they changing it?) The Niles/CC stuff was very promising but there was no follow through, a good premise with no where to go.
For the first time in many weeks, I did not find Yetta or her jokes to funny at all. Max, even though he looked wonderful, seemed to be more of a cukhold. He seemed clueless and vacant for most of the ep. (But not in the beginning, as I repeat) Sylvia was pretty funny (and NOT EATING!!) but I feel the writing could have been better Hope next week is an improvement. They can't all be unbelievably fantastic. 5-6/10

I thought that this week's show was great. I'm very happy to know that Fran didn't miscarry. Looking forward to next week and hoping she will FINALLY get pregnant.

only quarrels I have are with the writers not paying attention to the ramifications of the kids calling Fran "mom"... the cast was terrific. Very unified episode. and as always Yetta was priceless. It's getting better and better! Well done, and Fran needs an Emmy!

I *really* liked this one! Think the Niles and CC bits were funny as hell, and also the Fran and Max stuff was sweet and funny. For me it was better than last week's, and I hope next is even better!

This really was a good episode. I liked that it was back to being funny instead of heartbreaking at the end. Loved the Niles/CC stuff and the Val as a genius story. Her going on about square roots had me ROTF and Niles/CC -- well I just don't have the words. The comedy was excellent. However, I think the end was lacking. The second half of the ep didn't carry on the Niles/CC story that was building in the first half. They should have expanded the Fran/Max no sex scene some becasue that really worked. The Hollywood Squares thing was a waste. Not even the Yetta in a chicken suit (which had me ROTFLMAO) saved that scene. I would have been happy to see more Niles/CC, less Fran/Max in the second half. Again, a really good ep, but not the best I have seen.

Oh. My. God! Way to go Suzanne! And Peter! And the entire adult cast. THIS is the one they hit out of the park! I LOLed all the way through and each and every character was superb! Thank you for bringing Niles the hunky butler back. And Fran is just getting better and better as an actress every second. The entire beginning of the show was so well done, from the dramatic moments to the opening credits being subdued (for the first time ever, I believe) to mirror the mood -- nice touch. I also loved the turnaround from miscarriage being implied to the real plot revealed.
And what can you say about Renee except that every word, every look, every gesture, was perfect. Likewise, Niles and CC were just PERFECT. So, I guess it was good that I held off on a 10 rating for I'm Pregnant.... for this one -- 10/10!
CBS!!! ARE YOU LISTENING?? ARE YOU WATCHING????? GET THY BUTTS IN GEAR AND START PROMOTING THIS SERIES SO WE HAVE MANY MORE SEASONS!!!

This is the first show I have ever really disliked. It was not even funny or romantic! The good parts included Niles and CC with the cookies and Fran's grief at the beginning was very touching. the whole Hollywood squares thing was really pathetic.I did like that maggie and brighton referred to fran as 'mom'. By the way, does Rachel Chagal look pregnant?? i hope next week is better written.

TENS ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!!! The absolute best episode ever! The Niles/CC thing was too funny, and Fran clinging to Max was priceless. The kids are calling her Mom now, Niles calls Fran Fran, and Max is loosening up finally. The best I've ever seen Max's attitude was tonight (except the Hollywood Squares thing, the audience was too mean I think) Loved it, Loved it. Loved it!!!! Was there anything wrong with this ep? NO!!!! Hurray for everyone at CBS for an excellent show. And thanks for taking our ideas, that's what we want to see!!

Hoo boy! Overall, the episode was pretty good. The Niles/C.C. thing was absolutely hilarious, but if you ask me, they were teasing.

Okay, okay, I'll try not to go on and on about Niles and C.C., but I can't help it!! AWESOME!! They should feed them those frisky cookies every day!! ;-) Seriously, I thought this ep was HILARIOUS and really takes the cake. It had the tender moments, the sad moment of Fran alone in her hospital room at the beginning, and the ROTFLMAO parts all the way through--how could it get any better? All 10s in my book! Cast and crew: keep up the most fantastic work you've EVER done!!

All I have to say is THIS EPISODE WAS EXCELLENT! Fran was fabulous throughout the episode! I love the fact that the characters are not rigid anymore like they were in the first 3 episodes of the season. I thought all of the scences between Fran and Maxwell were fabulous (those two have the best chemistry of any couple on TV). And the whole Niles/CC thing was hilarious and Yetta dressed up as a chicken was hilarious. I just thought the whole episode was hilarious and one of the most romantic in a long time. I think this is the one of the best episodes that really showed how much Fran and Maxwell love each other. Also, everyone looks great. I love what they have done with Fran's hair. It looks much more natural and even if it is a wig, it looks great! Oh, and Is Rachel Chagall pregnant (cause in that first outfit she had on, she sure looked it!)? 10/10

I thought this episode was very funny, better than last week's. I found the medical aspects of it rather puzzling (I could believe a mix-up at the lab before a false + pregnancy test, & what was the abstinence thing about (though it did lead to a funny scene)) but of course this is a sitcom, not reality. :) I liked seeing the pharmacist again; he's really a scream. And, yes, R.C. did look pregnant. Even in the scene at the drug store she was holding a purse in front of her. :) I liked the fact that Maxwell looked kind of bewildered through the whole thing...I think men get like that when making babies :) As for Fran being desperate to conceive a child, she's not getting any younger, you know... :)

First off, I have to say that I really liked that Fran didn't actually have a miscarriage, but was never pregnant to begin with. Much nicer to have them all just a little disappointed rather than dealing with that tragedy. I loved the bit with Niles & CC and the cookies! ROTFLOL! That scene with the sponge had me howling! Fran & Max were cute, too, though I prefer to see their relationship a little spicier, and not quite so syrupy. The scene in the bedroom was great, though & the tubs of ice cream & M&M's, LOL! I trust that there were plenty of green ones in there!

Great show! Loved that the comedy aspect is back over the serious aspect. I'm glad it wasn't a miscarrage, just a false alarm. I loved the way Max and Fran have taken to each other and how he is supporting her in the attempt to have a baby. I didn't like the part in the bedroom that showed they didn't have anything in common but sex. That's not a good foundation to build a happy, strong marriage on. The Hollywood Squares bit was funny, but I wish they would stop showing Max as so second rate to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and give credit to where credit is due. The rest of the show with Niles/CC and Fran/Max was fantasic. Showing Val as a genius was a great background story. I feel the whole crew deserves their long over due recognition. It's time someone at CBS woke up and realized what a great show they have on their hands. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for next week.

The shows keep on getting better and better. This episode was great and so was the whole cast. I was happy that Fran didn't miscarried and I like the fact that Max was doing everything help get Fran get pregnant (even drink those shake mixes). And I knew those cookies were trouble from the beginning!!

I think the way the writer integrated comedy into last nights subject was great. And the way Maxwell hold his charm through the whole thing is so romantic. Great Show! I am also glad to see more of Yetta this season, I cant stop laughing just looking at her!

The comic elements were terrific thoughout this episode ( & thankfully the first scene was well handled with good taste & sensitivity). The character of Sylvia was particuarly well writtten & acted this week, striking a nice balance between "caring mother" & nutty advisor to Fran. "Niles" & "CC" were hilarious & Charles & Fran were great as always. It was another execellent half hour of entertainment.

I must admit this one didn't send me in either direction. I enjoyed the first half and was left somewhat cooler by the second. The comedy level was decent. Maybe what left me lacking was the clue I picked up on actually staring me in the face..what do they talk about when they aren't in bed? The kids? The in-laws? Do they do anything together? I would love to see them explore their life but figure that is a lost cause. Niles and CC were just right...As I said, mixed emotions. Having said that, I still feel this show is better than most of what is on. CBS are you intentially trying to shoot it in the foot? You never promote it. Guess we aren't your "golden goose" anymore!

I can't believe I missed this one!!! Curse college basketball!!! :( :( :(

This show was alright. The writers sure dropped that dramatic thing fast, and went right back into Classic Nanny. Dropping the theme song added to the moment, in the hospital room, (maybe they're changimg the words)? The Niles/CC cookiething was a riot and Renee was awesome, plus she didn't act like a pig. The Hollywood Squares part was pointless except for Yetta. Hope next weeks is better!!

Once again- very uneven and disappointing overall- Writers are really stretching for laughs with some really ridiculous ploys (The Hollywood Squares thing was so stilted and trite). CC and Niles were the highlight with their cookie scene and Yetta showing up in her "Let's Make a Deal" outfit was a riot. Once again, it is the supporting players who are carrying the show. Fran and Charles are uninspired this season.

The best part of this episode was the cookie thing. It couldn't have been funnier. I didn't like the frantic "let's make a baby" plot line. Which unfortunately will carry over to the next and perhaps other episodes. Max was wonderful and supportive, Fran was sad in the hospital--then too goofy for me. Climbing all over Max--not funny. The Hollywood Squares wasn't amusing, Max looking unsuccessful is getting old. What's wrong with me--I just didn't think this epi. was funny.

i loved the opening scene, it was very well done, but after that, i had mixed feelings about the ep. the niles/CC thing was terrific! really funny, and it was really clever and just hysterical. max seems to be becoming more and more uincharming with each episode. the hollywood squares thing was a waste, they didn't spend any time there, and it wasn't funny. i also didn't like that they used people like whoopi and coolio on as completely different characters. that sort of bothered me. i agree with some people who were saying that some of the jokes were not funny, and i couldn't even understand what was they said while walking out of the dressing room. but on the other hand, i loved sylvia, she always cracks me up, and the val thing was really funny. overall though, it was not as good as the last few eps. there were some cute parts, and i know i forgot some, oh yea, the part with fran jumping on max was cute, and the baby outfits. for me, a so-so ep. i think i am starting to like the seriousness that the show has been showing.

Great episode! Good mix of the dramatic in the beginning and comedy later on. I'm so glad I was right in thinking that Fran was never really pregnant. It was good to Max wanting a baby just as much as Fran. They are so good together. Funniest scene had to be with Niles and C.C. eating those cookies. I laughed so hard it hurt! Bravo!

Wonderful!!! Fran & Max were so sweet!!! But my favorite of all was Niles & CC!! They are so alike (in a twisted sort of way) The sponge bit killed me and rats no kiss!! Like Niles said "WHAT!!!!" I wish they had kept some of the attraction after the cookies wore off though!! The end was a real let down!! Oh yeah, and Yetta in the cxhicken suit...too funny!

Oh, come on, like a pregnancy test can give a "positive" response within minutes of having sex! The only good parts of the show were Niles & CC and the cookies and Val (I think she's pregnant too). Fran is too clingy. I know she's aging, but she and Max need to explore married life before all this conception stuff. Having a baby should be a natural thing, and having the writers force it upon the storylines so soon...it really disgusts me! Let's focus on the kids some more. Maggie has a great boyfriend (and a better pregnancy storyline would have been with Maggie and Michael. Fran has to deal with becoming a grandmother before a mother! Now that would've been a great storyline. Hmm...maybe I feel a "Fan Fiction" plotline there?) I pretty much thought this week's show stank (stunk?). Let's get away from this whole conception thing. They're killing the show with it.

Fran and Max are beginning to act like a real married couple, that was awesome.

am I mistaken or was the BEST EPISODE so far this season. This was the first episode that had be guffawing consistently. the opening was very tender( fran is brilliant) . The entire cast were in fine form, standouts ofcourse - Sylvia (the haddasa newsletter!), Val (what a riot - prodigious and fran even funnier when she misused it) and NIles and CC were terrific. the tone, pace, rythm were all in place. THIS WAS THE FUNNIEST EP SO FAR LETS HAVE MORE LIKE IT. i must admit that I was losing faith in my favourite comedy series, but with this ep TN has regained their footing. I can't believe the fans are quibbling over this one. 10/10

This one was a disappointment.... The Niles / CC bit with the cookies was hilarious...although I'd like to see more "natural" attraction rather than contrived thru alcholol or food. I don't care for the conception storyline so soon after the wedding...if it happens, great... but the focus, IMO, should be on Fran and Max's changing/growing relationship...the abstinence scene showed how empty little their relationship is outside the bedroom. The hollywood squares thing was lame...enough with the token guest stars already! Nora Dunn, however, is fab in her recurring role!

They just get better and better. After all the drama of the last 2 episodes, it was nice to have one that focused more on comedy. It was brilliant. The Niles/CC/cookies thing was too funny, as was Yetta in the chicken suit yelling "buy a vowel". Good choice not using the usual opening, it doesn't seem to fit too well anyhow now that they're married. I just hope they don't drag this conception plot too long, 1 show was enough, I want to see a baby. I was just happy to find out it was a false pregnancy and not a miscarriage. But I also have to agree that Val looked pregnant in that first scene. And that CBS needs to give this show more promotion.

I thought that I would be disappointed to find out that Fran wasn't really pregnant, and all it was one of her food combinations. I pleasently surprised. I could go on about the acting, all the cute scenes with Yetta, Niles and CC, Max and Fran and of course that kitchen scene with Niles and the kids. But I won't (otherwise I would be writting a book). Just sufice to say I think this year has been one of their best yet.

This episode was OK. The opening was very sweet but it seemed to go downhill from there. I gave it a good comedy rating mostly because of Niles & C.C. (This from a Fran/Max fan!). But they deserved it- they were great this week. The rest was just OK- hope the skiing is funnier. Also, think it's interesting someone on a post last week or on the discussion board predicted this very thing may be what happened. ALSO, I agree the show needs MUCH more promo!

I am still laughing! Swimfast...cookies..Niles and CC....Yetta and CC! WOW, this one was great. Lots of romantic encounters and involvement of the whole cast! Wonderful acting in the hospital (and bedroom) Fran and Charles. We were all exhausted and happy at the end of this one. Please keep this trend going! But we still more promos by CBS... Way to Go Fran!

Ok, lets's get on with the other aspects of married life. In time, a baby will come. The Hollywood Squares thing was a complete waste of valuable air time. There should have been more Niles and C.C. antics. Now THESE two steal the show. Way to go!

A bit silly and lacking in comedy. But Fran with Whoopi made the episode worthwhile.

I can't believe fans are quibbling either. I loved it. I must admit though, Max being unsuccessful IS getting a little old. Pretty soon it's going to be hard to believe that they can still afford to live in that house. He needs to make a hit soon. I think Fran and Max are inspired this season. I absolutely love them. Max seemed really sweet and caring and understanding to Fran, and it's perfectly fine with me if she wants to have a baby now. I realize that's the one thing she still needs to make her life with Max complete. I'm so shocked anyone disliked this episode, it was great! (disregarding the hollywood squares thing of course)

I thought the Hollywood Squares part was the worst part of the episode. Niles & CC really made this episode. They were great! Val was hilarious. I like the way Max is supporting Fran, but their passion is dwindling. I thought the bedroom scene was a little lame. They could have shown tremendous passion there, but they looked like they were acting. Give us a little more passion please. They hardly ever kiss, except quick pecks here and there. Keep them alive! That's what makes the show. Don't you think Renee has lost weight? Did you notice how Fran called her Mom when she walked in the hospital room? That was out of character. She has always called her Ma. Nora Dunn is great as Dr. Reynolds. Til next week!

Dull. Boring. Silly. And since I cringe everytime Niles & CC get involved (apparently I'm alone here), I basically hated this episode. I think I'll put in a tape of "An Affair to Dismember" or "Love is a Many Blundered Thing" to remind myself what beautiful writing can look like.

Very good ep. How can you not like Niles and CC in this one? They were fantastic and provided the comedy and the heat. Fran and Max were funny but not all that hot-even baby making can seem like work. Fran does seem a little too desparate to get pregnant in such a short amount of time. Like everyone else, I thought the Hollywood Squares scene reeked of publicity stunt and a way to squeeze in guest stars. Keep up the Niles and CC antics. Great stuff there.

The aphrodisiac cookies were really great, the old Niles/CC were back ! I thought it was, by far, the best episode of this season so far. It seemed until now that they had forgotten the initial spirit of the show. But it is back, and let's hope it will not disappear again!

While I didn't feel that this episode had the truly distinguished qualities of the last two weeks, I certainly thought that it was an above average show. The handling of the opening scene and credits was moving and powerful. I really enjoyed the idea of an intelligent Val-- too bad the cookies didn't agree with her. I also loved the effect of the cookies on Niles and C.C.-- curses on Maxwell for interrupting their almost kiss. As for Fran's obsession about getting pregnant-- the dominant plot of the show-- I wasn't really happy with how it was developed. Fran jumping on and clinging to Maxwell once was OK-- the second time it wasn't cute or funny. I'm not convinced that the Fran I've liked over the last seasons would so quickly turn into a whiny, panicky woman who can talk about or think about nothing other than having a baby. This is a serious issue which a lot of us know something about-- and the instant pregnancy tests were pretty absurd. I know this is a sitcom, but it works because so many of us really believe in these characters-- and it bothered me that the best response they could muster when Fran questions whether sex is all they have in common is to send Fran and Max to the kitchen to eat. I understand why the Nanny team felt they had to rush to the pregnancy scenario, but I really wish they'd do more with Fran and Max as friends as well as lovers-- and as parenting partners to Maggie, Brighton and Grace. The Hollywood Squares segmet was pretty lame, even with Yetta in her chicken suit. I also thought the tag scene was wasted-- they'd already had Yetta suggest she was "turned on" by C.C. during their dance at the wedding reception, so it wasn't really funny a second time. I think the episode fizzled out, but that, overall, it was above average for The Nanny and better than most of the competing sitcoms. But with the ratings challenges as they are, the show can't afford to slack off. I'm hoping for a really blockbuster episode on November 25th to end sweeps on a ratings high and carry us through the preemption in early December.

This week's past episode is probably one of my favorites. It's right next to the one when Fran goes to Saudi Arabia and Maxwell confesses his love. It was funny and romantic...it was great!

Watching this ep several times, it didn't seem as good as the first time. It had its comedic moments but left a lot of loose ends. Fran is too obsessed with becoming pregnant too fast. It just wasn't realistic. You have to wonder how Max is so successful when they're constantly taking potshots at his career. I have a feeling this will turn around in a positive direction when Fran starts involving herself as only she can. Niles and CC were funny enough but they dropped the ball. Numerous funny moments were available for them to be explored. I guess time was a factor. I usually love Yetta but the chicken suit wasn't funny. Neither was her propositioning CC. Old age is one thing but that was kinda gross. The second half didn't match the first half.

The Nanny is the greatest sitcom I've ever seen. If it comes to and end, me life will end too. I don't now what else I'm going to see. I can't imagine the T.V without The Nanny...

Another very good one! Keep up the great work cast and crew! My only 'negative' comment - Fran, get rid of that 'tee-hee-hee' giggle! Otherwise, a well rounded episode. The look on the kids' faces when Niles and CC were going through their 'dumplin' scene was priceless - "should we know about this?"
A problem though for us Aussie fans. Channel 10 made at least 2 major line cuts. If you check Laura's Nanny Zone episode guide for this episode you'll read the 2 lines left out. One by Sylvia after she says "Oy, this will take forever!" and, more importantly, the chemist line that leads into the scene with Fran and Max in bed is left out - and it's the line that sets that scene. Ah well, that's only 4 that I've noticed so far this season but I've only got one more US episode on tape left! Check out Laura's page and read them for yourselves!

they seem to be trying too hard. some of the heart of the show is missing Even though this one had moments of old nanny it doesn't flow like the earlier series. Never mind we still love it and look forward to next week It must be incredibly difficult to keep up fresh writing year after year. I dont think Fran/Max relationship has quite hit the mark on what we were waiting for from them. maybe the sexual tension was really the binding element of the show even though we were wearying of that too. Still one of the best and freshest shows on TV and Yetta never fails to delight. Fran will always continue to light up the screen the hospital scenes were excellent -i guess we just find it hard to see Fran so depressed.

Bravo, everybody!

I wish C.C. and Niles would admit their feelings for each other already!

This was a great episode :-) My favourite part was when Max asked Fran how she managed to sustain for 5 years and they ended up eating M&Ms and ice cream in that kitchen. The rest was great too.

I also noticed the editing again. Great episode though, even though I'm not a Niles/CC fan, I found their situation extremely amusing. Unlike other opinions I've read from US viewers, I think the Hollywood squares bit was funny and not a waste of time. Val and Yetta provided big laughs, as did the kids so overall - no complaints!

Okay, here goes: the start was really good and touching....very funny in the middle...sorry, I did not like the 'Hollywood Squares" thing so much...................but that was only in the end. I will take that for granted. All in all a good ep!

Honestly, I'm 17 years old, I stand out, I have a life....And THE NANNY is part of it. This is the coolest show!!

Nanny is my favourite show in Finnish TV.

I thought it was a good Ep over all and it's sad to see the nanny go because it's my fav show but I do think that it isn't as good as it use to be maybe because they are running out of Idears. by the way I liked the hollywood squares but don't you think All star squares suck in Aus the stars are all like boo. but good show go the nanny
