Sixth Season Episode Guide

Fran wants her parents to move in but Maxwell is reluctant until he starts getting the type of pampering from Sylvia he lacked from his own mother. Fran is a little jealous and decides that patching up the rift between Sylvia and Frieda is the only way to get her parents out of her house. Written by: Rick Shaw. Without a doubt, one of the best shows of the season. I may change my mind after re-watching it, but I cannot think of anything that did not work well or that I did not like. OVerall, just a great show. Niles was great, he looked great. Max was jsut wonderful through it. Great LOL lines (Max saying to Fran somehting like "I know it makes sense in their [her head], but I'm out here" was the best). Great romantic elements. Loved hearing Aunt Freida sing. The vidoe edited to put her in it was great. The subscritps for those of us who don't give or recieve Jews apologies was great. The ep overall was wonderful. I hope to see more of this caliber.
What an incredible show!!!!!!!!!!!! The show was BACK! Everyone in the ebsemble was utilized beautufully. Max's hair(shorter) looked wonderful.Sylvia has really lost weight and Niles WHOOO_HA!He was DA MAN! All I can say is that it was one of the best shows they have ever given us. It pays to get back to your roots (in more ways than one) because that's where the show belongs. BRAVO to all! Keep it up and the ratings will follow -
This ep was OK.
i liked it and i especially liked how they put the bloopers at the end! THOSE WERE FUNNY!
much improved from the last ep. Sylvia and max were very funny and i liked that they didn't do too much with the pregnancy. But i am starting to notice what everyone is talking about with max's hair! Oh and niles was hylarious! My favorite was Sylvia and freida apologizing at the end and the caption at the bottom of the screen!
This episode wasn't as funny some of the others. Niles as a model was probably the funniest aspect of the show.
This had to be the best episode I have seen all season, not to mention in previous seasons. I loved it, the whole deal with the wedding video and Frieda. I wasn't crazy about the Lucy costume reference though. I almost stopped watching the show altogether and tonight I fell back in love the it. Thanks.
Any comments? Just a couple. First of all, hats off to Daniel Davis and his wonderful body. Can't get much better than that. Being 53 years old, he looks pretty darn good. I'd been waiting for this episode for quite a while now, and it was worth it. IMHO, I think that Niles should be allowed to dress down once in a while, you know, for the benefit of everyone. While it was a good episode and pretty funny, I believe that more could have been done with Niles and C.C., especially near the end at the photo shoot when Niles walked right by her. Dammit, that coulda had class; that coulda been a contender (sorry). Anyway, that's about all I have to say. :-\
Loved it! Daniel Davis proved he is a hunk. As for the plot, uh I can't remember anything else. Oh yeah, good comedy from all involved. Nice work. My only quibble is that CC didn't have much to do, she could have stole a glance at Niles, hint hint. Let's keep those fires burning.
Well, to be optimistic... I thought it sucked. But that's what it was been doing lately. I find myself not even worrying about setting the VCR, it's not even worth it.
What a funny episode! I loved Fran's "Lucy" dress, she looked gorgeous. And Niles' expression in the background when he realized he was being video taped and started to dance. My favorite line was Fran's through clenched teeth "I said I was glad she was here!" to Brighton. Musta hit home for me, I can recall a few comments I've made like that myself and I just rolled!
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Very well-written, all the plot points made sense, the LOLs were abundant, and Lanie and Renee were just too good for words :-D Likewise, Fran was really on. And what can you say about Daniel's buff-ness? That hunky butler boy looks awfully good! The only nit I have to pick is that there was too little CC and no reaction from her re Niles' new look. She should have at least had a private drool moment... like the rest of us ;-)
HOOH HAH!!!! Mr. Hunky Butler!!!! Move over Maxwell here comes something Niles-ier ;) I know previous comments about wardrobe have drawn some dissenting remarks but OH BABY, does DD look good in a pair of jeans or what? Liked the story line for the most part. Dropped the ball IMHO not letting C.C. verbally react to Niles' outfit. She was checking him out though. Loved the expression on Max's face when Sylvia was massaging his scalp. Enjoyed the bloopers too. Especially enjoyed Lanie Kazan's "I Remember You" -- absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to read everyone's comments.
Absolutely hilarious! There were a couple of spots where they could've done more with C.C. seeing Niles dressed like he was, though. Hoo-ha! That man is one fine dude! :-) Anyway, the Sylvia running her hands through Max's hair thing was a RIOT! Lainie Kazan as usual was funny, funny, funny, and what a gorgeous voice! Personally, I'm glad we're off the whole "I want a baby" spiel--it was dragging a bit, and now we're back to Fran getting herself into situations that only she and Lucy could get out of! Underusage of C.C. IMHO, but you can't have everyone play a huge part in every ep, right? Now, let us see a bit more of Niles dressed like...THAT!!
Terrific show. You just can't have enough of Niles, as far as I'm concerned! He is, without a doubt, the sexiest guy on that show! The only thing it lacked was a comment from CC at the end! Why they wasted a throw-away line on the model, I'll never know!
I really enjoyed the show last night. I think it had the brand of magic that we saw so clearly at the beginning. Everyone did a good job. The kids were incorporated well into the script. There was enough romance to satisfy all the Fran/Max fans. Niles in a "buff and meatier" role should have satisfied the Danny fans. But the highlight was the play between Laine and Renee. Two classic, funny, and talented women who can run rings around most of the so-called "Youth is everything in Hollywood" movement. I just wish we had had scripts like this all along. Classic, funny, warm, and romantic. Kudos to the cast and especially the writers! Well done folks!
The show was better than the previous epiosde but still it seems to lack something to me.The scene with Niles in the jeans posing as a model was funny but I think the show is just missing something.
I may be in the minority here, but I wasn't that taken with this episode. It seemed a bit choppy & had a rather lame plot. On the positive side, there were some hilarious moments , namely Max on Sylvia's knee ( very well played scene Charles & Rene & Fran !) & Niles trying to be a model in full "Village People" contstruction worker regalia was pretty funny too. The actors were all excellent but in general the story line was a bit too weird - Aunt Frieda evicts Sylvia & Morty & then makes up with Sylvia just because she gets to sing in a spliced video of the wedding ???? & like another viewer, I felt the obvious "Lucy" scenes were too fake & strange . I dunno guys - will this help the declining ratings ? Even though this episode wasn't my favourite, I still love the show & would hate to see it go.
Another stinker!!
you have a fantastic show and I hope you keep it that way. a lot of kisses from a big big fan.
Well I thought this episode was great!! Looks like we are back on track!! I thought the episode was well written and the cast did a terrific job. The look on Max's face when Sylvia was massaging his head was so sexy. I loved the way he looked at Fran at the end of the show--when Fran came over and sat on his lap!! To die for.... "I Remember You" was sung beautifully. Daniel was an eyeful, eh? He got my vote in that outfit. I wish they would have done something with CC at the photo shoot when Niles walked past her. Overall, well done. O Ah, Fran was hilarious in the outtakes, very funny. 10
Good solid writing! Very reminiscient of the early seasons of this show, with one LOL after another. Niles, the hunky butler was a riot (I kind of missed seeing a reaction from CC, tho') and I loved the bit when Fran blows in Max's ear & he mistakes her for someone else. Interesting little tidbit about that video camera they "keep in the bedroom," too. Maybe Max isn't quite as uptight as he used to be. :-D
This is another one of the Sixth seasons great shows, I loved Fran in her Lucy dress and I'm not a real big Niles fan but I sure loved seeing him in the work clothes and hard hat. I also loved the way Max and Sylvia were getting close, I'm more of a Fran and Max fan. I gave this one a "10" all the way across the boards and I'm looking forward to the next new one on Jan 20th. All in all this is turning out to be one of the best seasons, and we still have "The Baby" to look forward to, can't wait!
Another GREAT episode! So many LOL moments -- especially with Fran, Max & Sylvia. Oh, yes, and of course, Niles was hunky and funny, too. Another funny, well paced script by Rick Shaw. I think the show has been fantastic this season (certainly an improvement over most of the last two seasons) and I want MORE, MORE, MORE!! So get with the program CBS -- and promote this show!! Kudos to the entire TN crew!!
This ep was okay-about a "Nanny" average. A nice change for Niles though.:-) But what about C.C.? Instead of just sitting there, she should have reacted somewhat to the unexpected change of her nemesis. Now THAT would've created a more interesting ep.
The only thing I liked about this episode was seeing Daniel Davis/Niles in casual clothes for a change...that DID NOT disappoint me at all!! Is the man a babe or what??? The thing I didn't like, other than "it all", was there could've been some really GREAT stuff between Niles & CC. With her teasing him about looking like Hume Cronan (?) to actually seeing his muscular body, I can see Niles flaunting it in front of her or CC in staring in shock...or something like that. Anyway, there was a lot of potential there, but it was lost. I hope they have Daniel do more buff scenes like he did in this episode. Gotta love him!!!
please, more stories about the childrens!!!!!!
I really enjoyed this episode. It was well written, funny, warm, with just enough camp. I did have a brief Village People, Can't stop the Music Flashback, but I Loved seeing Danial Davis,WHOA-I can only guess at the hours of arm curls and the painful hair removal that went into getting that look but it was well worth. It had me wishing I was a lint removal brush. I was hoping for some more interaction between CC & Niles. It seems that the writter alternate episodes that have them noticing each other. Oh well it keeps me watching.
OMG!! It's coming back!! Can you see it and feel it in the air?? The comedic aspect is definately back. I could not believe my eyes. We hadn't seen it because Fran's family had not been there for a long while. That is definately a key for the comedy. They have to mess something up!! It's just gotta happen!! I was losing hope, but now it has returned!!
I thought that this show was ok. The others have been better. Sylvia was kinda funny with Maxwell and all. I just wish that they were longer...
I love "The Nanny" and I love Chester
Well, life is not perfect. In the last few days IŽve gotten some great news. First of
all IŽm about to embark on my first trip to New York City and almost one week before I leave I
find out that Madonna not only is nominated for 6 Grammy awards, but sheŽs starting a world
tour in September. WOW IŽve been waiting for those news for six new now. But as I previously
said, life is not perfect, something had to come to ruin my happyness.
I canŽt believe The Nanny is ending, just a couple of weeks ago Fran was here in Argentina and
she said that she was hoping to doing a seventh season. What the hell happened to her?
Well, weŽll have to learn to live without The Nanny and at least enjoy her great six seasons.
Bye Fran Fine, youŽll always be a part of me...
This is so sad, I cnat believe the show is ending well the only thing we can hope for is to see the actors in other series or movies I understand Fran is making Going to the chapel already, I dont know.
Well, they seem to be listening to us! We finally got to see more of Daniel Davis, and finally no stupid plot with Maggie. They could use the kids a bit more and not end every show with Fran on Max's lap or running to have sex, but hey they're newlyweds. I thought it was very funny. Hope the show goes out with a bang, good idea to end it, for this season has felt like a drag. I think this'll be enough in reruns. I have been watching those with a wistful feeling in my heart! All in all, a good ep! Keep it up, TPTB!
What can one say after the announcement !
What a bummer--No more weekly Fran in our lives! I love this show sooo much. When I think about the romantic fix it gave me, and how I would watch it over and over all week long, what are we to turn to? I mean there was comedy, romance, great clothes, and that will they get together suspence. Anyway this weeks show was super. Loved Max on Sylvia's lap, he was so content. Who-Ha Niles! Sylvia's looking Hot, and that whole video thing was so rich!I laughed O L.Well every one keep taping while the sun shines. Then where will we go? Nash Bridges? He's got a new romance in the works. But nothing will be like Fran and Max. And I'll miss all of you and your comments, sometimes I would think to myself "Wonder what everyone else thinks of this episode". Deep Sigh.
I was affraid that the show will loose some spark with the wedding, but I'm glad to say I was wrong. I LOVED IT
Although i had a feeling that this would be the last season for TN, it saddens me deeply to hear the news. This is the only show i look forward to watching each week. But enuf crying because this was the best episode this season and one of the best of any season. this ranks with the classics. I ve already watched this one three times. Fran, Niles, Sylvia and Frieda were in top form. There were so many LOL moments - where to begin( the Pajama game remark, the wedding video, Brighton: "lisa Minnelli", the subtitled apology, niles would be well lit with the lights off, sonny boy,. It was a increadibly funny episode - all elements were in fine form. Once they got over the pregnancy hump, the show regained its tone. and the filming has returned to its original look(i was beginning to think the show was going to be directed more like the Y&R with the filters and Dynasty crane shots. Next weeks show sounds good, so lets leave the drama to the soaps and lets have a laugh. Lainie Kazan sounded wonderful. Fran's delivery of the line " Trivia like that woks agains the the whole machsimo effect" was perfect. I will miss her as the nanny.
I can't believe that "The Nanny" is ending. It's the worst news I've heard in months!! I just hope they work quite hard in these last eps, that they use them to make every fan happy. I wish that since the show's going to be over, CC and Niles finally get together, Fran and Max have their kid, Gracie goes to her new school... Summing up, I really hope the last eps to be amazing... Sigh...

Our responses (19) gave the episode a 8.5 overall, a 8.4 for the comedy, and a 7.4 for romance.
Some comments received were:
i thinks it was good but i tink it could be some more love between Maxwell and Fran
Well, I'm not from Australia, but in Denmark we also saw this episode in last week... The scene I loved the most, where at the fotosession. Maggie and then Niles, and Max when Fran blow in his neck... :o) Too bad this show stops.
Another very good one. None of the sentimentality of last week - just a lot of
lovin' and laughin'. Loved the 'bloopers' at the end, too. Haven't seen those in a long time.
Wasn't Frieda's song beautiful, too. And the 'apology' was ROTFL!
I agree with a lot of you US fans, too - no 'reaction' from CC to Niles in 'costume' was a bit
odd after last week's efforts!
please go on with the show I love the show so much. I beg you please go on
I absolutely loved it. This is what all the episodes should be like (after all, it is a comedy show). I can't really say what was my favourite bit, but it must be the wedding video, niles in the construction worker outfit and Max sitting on Sylvia's lap. That was so cute! It was a really well written episode!!!!
I thought it was a really funny episode...good script, etc.. I liked how Max was 'mothered' by Sylvia, how cute! :) Pretty good overall, I'll be sad to see the show go.
Niles looked so sexy in the work clothes!!!!!
Maxwell's devilishly handsome and underhanded college buddy, Rodney Pembrook, persuades an unsuspecting Fran to give him $1 million dollars for a shady business deal. When Fran discovers that Rodney is a con man, she must convince him to return the money before Maxwell finds out. Meanwhile, Niles becomes convinced he's a millionaire when he inherits a royal title. Directed by Jennifer Reed. Teleplay by Jayne Hamil. Story by Chandler Evans and Jayne Hamil. Jocelyn: Sophie Ward, Rodney Pembroke: Maxwell Caulfield, Cop: James Edson, Headmistress Davis: Susan Krebs. |
Our responses (70) gave the episode a 7.7 overall, a 7.9 for the comedy, and a 5.8 for romance.
Some comments received were:
FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY. Some of the old Classic Nanny was back for me. Max chasing Fran. Max coming home and calling for "Sexy". Very funny and oh poor Niles. Almost there but not quite !
It was a pretty funny episode. It was a change seeing Maxwell being blamed for Gracie not getting in the school.
I believe in recycling but this is ridiculous! The plot was warmed over,( the same one as with Corbin Bersen as the stockbroker). The jokes stale and the premise very faulty. Niles looked great in leather, but CC was WAY too heartless. Sylvia and all the rest of the cast were wasted IMO. The part about the mirror was at most cute ( was that the same actress who played the new Nanny earlier this year?) And WHY was Jocelyn there? Charles made a funny drunk ( if that's still PC and not a cliche from 20 years ago) , BUT they should give him more to do and Maxwell Caulfield was good looking but vacuous. All in all, not as bad as episode 2 but pretty poor in all. Hopefully the final episodes will go onto an upswing and not fall into a pit.
Wheres the romance? All I've seen for a while are little pecks on the cheek or lips. What happened to the passionate kissing?
Nice when Max arrives drunk. Great Fran viewing herself at the mirrow. But one thing, they never mention her pregnancy!!
I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, Maxwell coming in drunk and ruining his daughter's interview was out of character a bit.
Not quite as funny as last week - but better than some recent ones. I just wish something REALLY GOOD would come Niles way! I get tired of always feeling sorry for the guy - he deserves more!
This one was kinda vanilla. So-so. Nice. But not especially entertaining nor memorable. Not many laughs and a few things really bugged me -- WHY is CC still after Maxwell???????? Ugh. And WHY didn't they follow up more on the B plot???? Once again, IMO, they tried to do too much in one show. It felt like they took two steps backwards from the last episode. 6/10
Loved it!!!!!! "Fran, do you have any idea why Niles would want ME to make HIM a sandwich?" "What about me, I already hired six bridesmaids?!?" And Sylvia's looking great.
Well it wasn't outstanding but it wasn't the worst show of the season, either. The mirror bit was overdone and the time wasted could have been better served to finish up missing plot points...again! The whole concept had already been done once in another show so I'm not sure why they felt they needed this other than they wanted to show that Fran could write a check. They did utilitize the children more which was nice. And Niles in leather was a scream. Personally, my husband gave it a "10" because of the Krispy Kreme donut bit...if you've never had them you wouldn't understand. Loved the bit with Fran hosting the "tea." Actually they could have just played that out IMHO. Best line.."Did you get the check?" "No?" "Then get the tea!"
I thought this ep was fabulous. The whole thing was funny! LOVED Fran's mirror image showing her what she'd look like in 30 years!! LOL Poor Fran...writing that check just because she could. What's with being back to C.C. going after Max? Sheesh, enough already. Niles thinking he'd inherited a title and money was LOL...but now I feel so bad for him!! It was perfect to see Niles and C.C. "wallowing" together at the end. Gotta love Val's cinnamon buns!!! ROTFL All in all, this ep had everything and everybody. Kudos!
I haven't decided if I liked this episode. Max coming in drunk, boisterious and smoking a cigar seemed out of character to me. But the lusty look he gave Fran when he introduced her to Rodney spoke volumns. I was bothered by the idea that Fran would write a check for so much without even checking with Max first. She isn't that dumb. The ending was just too tidy. I was disappointed with this episode.
Another very funny episode. Seems like "The Nanny" has found its voice again & has that little engine back on track! Some of my favorite moments: The intoxicated Mr. Sheffield, Niles in his Austin Powers get-up, Fran & CC wrestling over the checkbook & Sylvia tearing the pages out of the magazine. A LOL a minute.
Cute episode. Loved how Max came home drunk asking for "sexy". Love how no matter what Fran does, it always comes up roses at the end. Liked the part with Fran in the mirror. But, I agree that there needs to be romance. They need to stop acting like they have been married for 20 years, and remember that they were just recently married. Also, C.C. needs to stop chasing Max and go after Niles - a whole new storyline. Overall, a cute episode, but where's the romance?
This ep. wasn't as good as I thought it would be. But I still love Charlie (and his hair!) What was Niles wearing?! Yuck that one outfit was ok but the velvet maroon thing with the yellow shirt has got to go! Sorry Danny! Also, I didn't like Fran's outfit. She looked funny with that pink outfit on. Also C.C. missed a few chance moments to say something to Niles. I thought she was supposed to start liking him. One of the funnier moments was when Fran was talking to herself in the mirror. That was awesome. Not as good as last week's. I hope this doesn't become a pattern or no matter what there won't be a 7th season! All in all, too many bad outfits, and not enough Charles. Sorry! :(
WELL....I did not really like this one. It seemed "off" to me...hard to explain. I
felt somehow confused by no mention of baby, poor use of Niles & CC, CC was back after Max?
Whats up with that?! Niles and his "Title" could have been used MUCH BETTER IMHO though I
thought Val was funny. I wish I knew the tape date of these episodes! It would not surprise me
to find out that this was taped before "Hanuka" It seemed to be more like the awful 2nd episode
( I've forgotten the title to that show, I think I blocked it out of my memory due to the
trauma)
I did think though that Gracie is turning out to be quite a beautiful young woman! And Niles
looked far more attractive and sophisticated as the butler in his camel overcoat and scarf!!!!
I know it's almost all over in a couple months **sniff** so I do hope this was just a blip in
the season!
I though it was good and better than the last eps. But I still missed lotsa passion, and mentioning her pregnancy, at least she should look it!
Well, I thought the episode was good, but it could have been better. I loved it when Maxwell came into the house tipsy from the wine, that was great. Makes me wonder how he was as a student? Hmmmmmmm. I felt it was an uneven show, though some parts were funny. When are ya going to show Fran pregnant already? Geesh!! Niles looked great in black leather.
Well, I thought this episode was very funny, but it was lacking in the romance department. Fran and Max make such a beautiful couple, that they should use that, before she starts getting bigger. I did have my doubts about Maxwell Caulfield doing this particular role (I had only seen him in Empire Records, and it just seemed totally oposite. However, I was pleasantly surprised. He had me rolling on the floor with his slurred, "How do you do?" to the head mistress, then falling on her! LOL! Plus, the "..before they switch the phone off.." was great too. Max (CS)was a great drunk, and very believable. That was great too! I just wish they would go back to the passion between Fran and Max and stop making them act like they've been married for like 30 years. Overall a pretty good episode, but please bring the romance back!
Mixed emotions on this one. The Fran and Max storyline was perfect. Classic Nanny. LoL moments about "relative" Larry Fein, 30 years from now, and the drunken Max. As far as the kid, Maggie and Grace have had more to do but why is Brighton being left out in the cold. As far as Niles and CC, well, at least CC had a big part. Still chasing Max? And Niles calling her a man and a drunk was as unfunny as it was repetitive. The costumes were a bit much. That lilac thing was hideous. The tag scene made them both look pathetic. That left a really bad final impression on me.
I keep hearing everybody say they were disappointed with the tag scene with Niles and C.C. I have to say I thought it was cute!
I laughed a lot with this one. Although, you could definitely tell that it was taped before the Hanukkah ep. [webmasters note: No, it wasn't.] Favorite scenes: Maxwell drunk, he was a riot. I loved seeing him acting less proper. I loved Gracie's put down at Brighton. B-"If I had a choice between being smart and good looking.." G-"You would chose either." They really need to use the kids more, waste of great talent. Jocelyn was needed to tie-in the fact that Maxwell's old friend was broke. After all she just arrived from England so would be in the know. Also, loved hearing CC's sexy pick-up line to the cop, "So...NYPD, why so blue?" Her voice is so hot! It was hard to pick a favorite scene. CC and Fran's fight with the checkbook was so hilarious! It had me in stiches. But when Niles came walking in wearing that leather outfit, whew! It was just so hard NOT to drool. As for the other outfit, let's just say I hope the wardrobe people burn it! Great show!
It was okay. I liked how C.C. had already made plans for her and Max's wedding day, when Fran gave his friend the money. Niles was pretty funny, too. The show overall quite funny (I give it a 9), although not much romantic stuff between Fran and Max, nor Niles and CC (6). It was also funny seeing Grace trying to get into that school. I want to see something between Niles and C.C.!! Overall, I give it an 8. (Last week's was better, though.)
This one was fun. CC was so funny--the booze in the coffee, taping her head over the wedding photo, and thinking Rodney was checking out her tusch! Fran was great-saving the day as usual because she did the nice thing. Max was gorgeous in that long top coat, doing the bad-boy drunk thing. Poor Niles, no respect. Val was cute, and the running cinnamon bun gag was clever. Fran is so real wanting the money back (and the gooda). I'm gonna miss this all so much.
I thought that this show was a really good one! The part where she was in the mirror was something that I never thought would happen! The best part was how Niles ended up working at the Coffee Shop. The thing I can't figure out is if it is a joke or at the end for the episode he really did start to work there. Overall, they keep getting better and better.
Maybe I was just spoiled with the last ep we saw, but this one was a huge disappointment for me. They could have and should have developed the Music Appreciation day more. I found it out of character and just wrong for Max to come into the house the way he did on what was such an important day for Grace (are we suppose to buy that he didn't know?). Hated Fran in the Mirror. THat could have been taken out and I would not have minded. Niles/CC just seemed off this week. However I do have to say taht I enjoyed Val's Cinnamon buns. Why can't Niles ever get a break?
I think that my expectations are too high and I hope for too much. After thinking about it for a while I realize that I liked the episode a lot and I think that everyone was used well. I was somewhat dissappointed that CC is still after Max. It's just a little too tacky, what with them being newleyweds, and her being pregnant...but I suppose old storylines die a slow death. I thought Niles looked great in the leather, but I thought the velvet was more Boys in the Band then Austin Powers. I realize that the show is winding down, but IMHO they have nothing to loose if they just write the remaining episodes to fit the requests of the fan. At least they'll keep the viewing audience that they already have, and hopefully attact a few more people with slightly over the top shows. The fans have been trained to expect a little romance with their comedy. Now that Fran has got her man the attention shifts to the next likely couple. (Niles & C.C.) I fully appreciate the affect of delayed gradification, but the writter are getting down right cruel.
This was another "Hit & Miss" episode for me. They seemed to alternate between a funny scene & a "filler" scene throughout the show. I did laugh at Max coming in smashed & embarassing Fran & Grace instead of lending the element of "Class" Fran had hoped for . ( What can I say - I'm always a "Charles & Fran" fan). Daniel was funny as Niles trying to be a Lord but please - wardrobe people : lose the really bad outfits -Yikes !- give him a big velvet hat with a feather & a "Pimp" is born ! - The "Jane Austin Powers" comment fit . At any rate, there just wasn't enough consistency to this episode for me to give it a high rating. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
I enjoyed this episode, although not as much as some of the others earlier in the season. Max was a cute drunk and Niles looked great in leather. I really miss the romance though... the passion can't be dead after only 8 months! But, overall, this ep was a good laugh.
It was an ok episode. Wouldn't have minded seeing Niles in some more of those clothes though!!
The jokes in this episode were so funny I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes!
The best part of the show was when Niles was wearing the leather pants and jacket and the red velour suit afterwards. I love to see my fave butler looking really nice. He is soooo sexy.
This was a GREAT show!! Especially the whole first half was ROTFL!!! It was nice, for a change, to see Max being improper messing up something for Fran, the kids all being used, and Niles in a leather suit. Also nice to see some things never change like Max chasing Fran, CC chasing Max, and Val is dumb as ever (F:..converted the money to francs V:Yeah, once they buy all those hotdogs..) I watched this one twice & laughed just as hard the second time. Best line (IMHO): Fran- and the worst part is, he offered to give [the money] back and I said no! Max- no, the worst part is, this door doesn't lock from your side! One last comment, Max's hair is not perfect, but it looks like they're getting it under control- finally.
this was really not good at all. again, there was lot of potential but they didn't use it. i was very dissapointed. i hope it starts to improve, i want them to go out with a bang. i am not a huge niles and cc fan, but i have to say that each of them (individually though) were the only good thing they had at all this week. the fran in the mirror was terrible. way too cheesy. i feel like the quality of the show has taken a major fall this season, especially watching all those classic reruns, this show doesn't stand up to itself anymore. i am really sad about that because it didn't HAVE to end after the marraige, they have so many things they could be doing right now, i am glad they don't make too much of a big deal about the pregnancy, but we've barely seen anything! we don't have much time left, i want to see fran pregnant!
I liked Niles' new wardrobe. It looked really funny on him though. This episode could have been better, but I hope to see more Nanny fun in the future.
I couldn't stop laughing! I loved this ep. CC was hilarious, the kids were great, Val was funny, and Niles, well what can I say...hoo-hah! Loved the leather outfit! In a way, even the velvet outfit looked good on him. He looks much better in fitted clothes, instead of baggy suits. Fran's mirror bit was overdone a little. But, overall, it was great!
Didn't think much of this one. To be honest, it left me feeling quite disappointed. This ep seemed to really pull and drift apart, it just didn't seem much like "The Nanny". With only a couple of months left in this, the final seaon, I keep hoping to see something special, some real "Nanny" magic. Better yet, something wonderful for Niles & C.C.
It was funny, but not very romanitic, and they never even mentioned Fran's pregnancy.

Our responses (14) gave the episode a 8.6 overall, a 9 for the comedy, and a 7.9 for romance.

Hi! I liked this episode, and although I thought the reflection of what Fran was
going to look like was funny, I didn't really like it. Is that possible? My favourite C.C.

Well, I take care of that too, because.............. you're stupid!!
I think that overall this was a good episode, though.
I haven't worked out yet why this show has not been successful this year... the
stories are all good, the characters are great! Even Max' new hair doesn't bother me! So what
was the problem. (other than CBS!)
Another very good show... loved Fran 30 years on, the 'door doesn't lock on your side' and the
little CC head over Fran's in the wedding photo. Loved how it was the 'rich successful
Sheffield' side which cost Gracie the place at the school and not the so-called 'classless'
Fran... loved it all.
Ya know, guys and gals, there is plenty of material for a 7th season... what do we have to
lose!
How can anyone possibly give any of the episodes, especially the ones with high romantic levels, less than a nine? They're all pretty damn great!!
why did they cancel it it can't be true
