6.15 Ma'ternal Affairs

June 2nd, 1999

When Fran discovers that her mother is contemplating having an affair with her handsome doctor, she severely reprimands her and they have a major quarrel. Eventually, the two Fine women make up, but Fran vows to help her father reignite the romance with Sylvia and save the marriage. Meanwhile, C.C. wreaks havoc while directing Grace's school play. Written by Frank Lombardi. Morty Fine: Steve Lawrence, Dr. Joe Razzo: Joe Bologna, Woman in Theater: Roz Kerns, Fly Down Man: Peter Marc Jacobson.

Our responses (119) gave the episode a 8.1 overall, a 8.0 for the comedy, and a 8.1 for romance.
Some comments received were:

I thought this one was surprisingly funny! I liked the Morty/Sylvia thing. It would have been a lot better if we saw all these episodes before the finale.

Pretty good. But I think it was missing something. I can't put my finger on it hmmmm....

I thought tonights episode was hilarious!! It was so romantic when morty sang to sylvia! I give it a 10!!!

The romance aspect between Morty and Sylvia was delightful -- I loved it! It was great to find out a little more about them. And Niles "laying a big egg" was hysterical. My only big regret, something they really could hvae milked for the comedy value, was that we never got to see CC's (probably violent) reaction to Niles "choking" onstage.

One of the worst ever, boring, I expected Morty´s fisrt appearence to be funnier...

I thought that this episode could've been alot better! I mean it was kinda boring!! It wasn't that bad though i mean it had its good parts and all but it wasn't my favorite by any means!! So its ok!

I liked it, but it wasn't a favorite. I would've liked to have seen more conflict with Morty & the doctor. But it was good!!!!

It was great!!!!!!!!!!!

This one was really different than most eps before it & I liked it for it's tighter storyline & change of pace. It had some of the old "insider" type references that I've always found amusing, like the one Niles makes at the end about did Max think Niles' British accent sounded fake ? I heard that's what one critic said about Charles real accent when the Nanny first started. I also thought the calibre of acting was much better than the California ep. I loved the scene where Max is plotting in his mind to have a fake meeting to get out of helping Fran with Morty & then Fran cancels his fake meeting - good one guys:-) CC had some great lines too & the scene with Niles falling for CC's ploy even when Max tries to warn him was great. The last part with Morty & Slvia was touching & well handled. Overall, I enjoyed the show more than many of the eps that preceded it. Too bad there are only a few left. Charles was right, these last ones may be the best work they did this season.

This was a great episode. Steve Lawrence played Morty just the way I always imagined him to be. Bravo!!

REALLY enjoyed seeing a new episode! Steve Lawrence and Joe Bologna were fabulous. The ending made me cry, it was so sweet. Didn't care for the B plot much -- it seemed hacked to bits by the editors. Did like Niles'/Daniel's inside joke about the "fake" British accent, though :-) It's just so nice to be on track again and know that we can finally put all the puzzle pieces together!

That did nothing for the Niles/C.C. withdrawl I'm going through! But I did like that it focused a lot on Renee Taylor and showed some depth to Sylvia, which is nice compared to the "overbearing cow" image they've given her all along.

I love the Nanny and can't believe it is over. I will watch the reruns untill I am 29(forever). I wish they would come back, but each rerun is almost as good as a new show to me

Terrific show. It would only have been better if there had been more of the Niles/CC romance. Romantic highlight was Steve's song and comedy hightlight was DD's shaking in fright on the stage. Completely broke me up!

I think this was a cute episode. How nice is to meet Fran´s father at last! (although we already saw him on the finale) Niles was great with his part on Grace´s play. Jetta was also great.! And Fran canceling Max´s fake appointment was really funny!

Wow! This is the show I fell in love with. It was funny, sweet and clever. It just goes to prove that The Nanny needed to find themselves again. Charles and his canceled imaginary meeting, Fran in the mens room, CC directing Grace 'you all stink', and Niles forgetting his line. One for my favorites list!

This episode was very funny and romantic. I loved it! It was so nice to see "The Nanny" back where it BELONGS! Steve Lawrence played the best Morty! I noticed how slowly there going with the Niles and C.C relationship and I loved that too! But I have a feeling things are going to get better :) CBS should realize there losing such a great show and if they don't already, they need to!

So glad we got to see Peter one more time, even if he was pulling up his zipper. I really thought it was cute that both husbands, Joe and Peter, were on the show. I loved how Fran canceled Max's fake meeting! Can't wait to catch up in the next few weeks! Love Niles' fake English accent.

OK show. Great to finally see Morty, and the scenes in the end with Sylvia and Morty were nice. Joe Bologna and Steve Lawrence were both good. And ... Niles' trailing after Max: "Do you think my English accent sounds fake??" I had to love that.

Wow! This one will go down as one of my favorites! (And it's great commenting at the same time as the US, too!) Everything about it was great... Steve Lawrence *was* Morty - just as I always pictured him - except his hair was too light! ;-) Joe was perfect as the doctor - Nanny wisdom from someone other than the Nanny. The romance was Sylvia and Morty. The comedy was the play and Niles! Yetta's few lines were perfect Yetta. Congratulations to Frank Lombardi on another wonderful episode! I'm almost crying thinking about only 6 left (here in Australia!)

Just FANTASTIC!!! I hope CBS Knows what they're missing, I sure do. Thank you Mr Lombardi, the episode was great, full of emotions and surprises. I love Joe Bologna as the doctor, and Morty was also great, Mrs Taylor's performance was beautiful. LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF THE SHOW!!!

OMG! Ever since The Pen Pal I have been waiting for this moment and it finally happened: Peter in front of the camera again! :-D That alone makes the episode a ten! - Ok, I also loved Steve Lawrence as Morty (it exceeded my expectations, he was trully amazing, I loved him) and Joe as Dr. Rasso :-) The acting was excellent, the writing was top notch, really, the best episode of the season, so far!

This was like oone of the really great episodes of Home Improvement---only much better! It was really interesting to see Lawerence, who played Morty, and Bologna, Taylors real wife , in the same scenes together and their characters had no idea who each one was.....Bloody brillant!

I'd like to see it again!

i thought was funny and romantic.Great acting by Steve Lawrence and Renee Taylor.

Not enough Niles/CC, but it was very funny to see Morty ;o) The doctor scenes were *LOL*

Boy, I was disappointed! TN is not "party of five", it is not supposed to make us cry, it is a COMEDY! And there was little or no comedy in this episode! Sylvia is not my favorite TN character, far from it, and we got a whole show about her! I really prefered her fat, she now looks old and tired. Morty was not at all the person that has been portrayed for six years as a total jerk: I certainly would not have imagined him singing for his wife! It seems out of place, somehow (like it did in the final). And what I really can not forgive them for was Niles paralysed by fear on the stage: we saw him sing before an audience of backers, and he did not look even uncomfortable. We always had the impression that Niles had more or less abandoned a theatre career to stay with Max: make him ridicule on the stage was really a clumsy move.
A last comment: next to "Maggy's boyfriend", which aired right afterwards, and which was one of the best episodes this year, it paled considerably. I still hope that the remaining episodes will be a little better, but I somehow don't believe it will happen. It is so frustrating!

Terrific! Absolutely loved it.....why don't you ever sing to me? *G*

It was pretty good. I esp like the part where Maxwell knows exactly what Fran is going to ask him. I just love the show!!! never missed an episode in 6 years. I am soooo glad CBS decided to show the "lost episodes". of course Fran can start looking pregnant with twins any time now.

I rellay liked when Joe Bologna (Fran's mother's real husbands )appeared. I thought that was funny. But what I didn't like was Morty, because in this years, they have made a much different personality, more chunky, etc. So, I was a little dosappointed in that aspect. The dramatical part could been better. I liked it, anyway.

I absolutely loved this episode. I thought it was one of the best all year. I thought Steve Lawrence played Morty wonderfully (he exceeded my expectations) and I thought Joseph Bologna was great too! I loved when he tested Fran's reflexes and she slapped him in the head. When Max said "She canceled my fake meeting." It was laughing hysterically. I thought everyone's acting was just great in this episode. I loved when Fran was talking to her dad and she said "Take the risk". But, one of my favorite moments was seeing Peter again! I was so happy that he did another cameo. Can you tell that I really loved this episode!? A question: Did the name Fran used to see the doctor have any significance?

Overall I really liked this episode it was really funny and loved the part when Morty sang to Silvia. However I also think it could have been better

I saw Ma'ternal Affairs about two weeks ago and it was not bad. A very serious ep but had plenty of laughs. It was fun to see Morty and Steve Lawrence did a great job playing him. Although, I always thought of Morty as a slob but Steve played him a little less of a slob. Seeing real husband and wife Joe and Renče togheter in a scene was so much fun. They are a beautiful couple!! But this ep was not a fave.

I loved this episode, but hope the rest will be better, more romantic, betwwen Fran and Max. That is what they should focs on in these last episodes. I am sad to see it end. I just keep thinking once these "lost" episodes are over there will be NO NEW NANNY'S. I hate to think about living in a world with out that voice! I wish they had shown all the episodes in order. Not like this. They needed to build up the supense for the finale. Instead it just came and went. It deserved alot more credit than it recived. I can be reached about the Nanny at kcain84@yahoo.com. I love to talk about the Nanny, I only wish my close friends shared the same apprecitation that I do.

this was probably the most clever show of the entire season. the little things that made the nanny in the first place were all there! it was so satisfying. first of all, i loved seeing renee taylor and her husband together, it was adorable, i only wish he had agreed to play morty, he would have been much better than steve lawrence, he just wasnt right, it threw me off. he wasnt the morty we;ve heard about for six years! but he was more believable than in the finale. other than that, i have nothing to pick at, i loved the little jokes they snuck in, niles fake accent. and fran canceling maxs appointment that didnt exist was classic. yetta was great, all of it, although, where were the kids again?! i didnt mind it at all, but i am just realizing, is gracie the only one we saw the entire episode? oh well, i consider this a job very well done by all.

Everything made me laugh...it was a wonderful feeling to laugh like that again(pracitcally falling off the bed). It was like the old episodes of seasons' 2 and 3 where every few seconds, I would die because of my stomach muscles would wear out. hmmm...that's a good exercise... There could have been a little more romance with the couples. I missed Niles and C.C. Can't wait for that issue to come up. There was just something missing, something was off. I can't think of the exact thing, though. Oh, "why don't you ever sing to me?"~ROTFLMAO!!

I don't know if i prefer Morty without a 'head' so to speak...I never pictured him looking like that. But, it was a very funny episode.

DANIEL DAVIS LOL!!! Yetta's one line, hysterical!! I missed Brighton and Maggie though. Thank God, Mr. Lombardi took a break from focusing on Fran and Max. Hey and I'm a Fran and Max fanatic. I lovvved seeing Peter again. Steve Lawrence was funny, but I enjoyed his singing twice as much. Somehow, I still wished Joe Bologna played Morty. He seemed to share more chemistry with Fran and Sylvia; maybe the show was planned that way. Although,I doubt it. I enjoyed the inside jokes much more than the usual comedy. The show still is a ten in my book.

Bravo! A very sensitive wrap-up to Sylvia's temptations. Steve Lawrence was GREAT as Morty - very believable & very funny! Niles was a riot in his stage debut, and what a nice touch to have Peter pop up so unexpectedly exiting the men's room! Looking forward to the next "missing episode."

It was a pretty good episode. Fran's dad (even though we saw him in the finale), looked like he had a racoon on his head. It was kind of funny, but I think it could have been better.

This episode was true "Nanny"! With episodes such as this one, it's hard to believe that there won't be a 7th season. It looks like CBS was the one to "lay a big egg".

Pretty good! Steve Lawrence was GRRRRREAT as Morty. I loved "Why don't you ever sing to me?" That was hilarious. Although I've heard Charlie CAN sing!

It was okay but I really wish they'd stop making Niles seem like such a loser. He's best when he's in control and confident.

It was great! Principally at the end when the couples danced and Morty sang :)

A very even episode I think. Unlike most other eps, nothing really stood out, but both times that I watched it, I really enjoyed it. Everything seemed to flow really well, the singing was great. I wasn't sure about Steve Lawrence playing Morty, but it really worked. I did enjoy how they took a serious topic and still made it fun to watch. Overall, not bad.

I liked this episode but it wasn't one of my favorites. There were some great parts: Fran cancelling Maxwell's fake meeting, Niles reaction to getting a part in the play, and Niles onstage--all great! I also loved the line after Morty sings to Sylvia, Fran to Max: Why don't you ever sing to me?

this was a pretty cute episode.the focus on sylvia and morty was a nice change.Although i felt that steve lawerence as morty was kinda ridiculus.

Oh Boy! a scene in a men's room. Can a man really have both hands in his pockets and take care of business. This show is so educational. All in all I loved it, everyone was acting the heck out of their parts...kind of looked as if they were all auditioning for their next job. Well written and funny, but not enough Niles/CC. Can't wait until next week.

i thought it was great...it had the makings of a great episode...even though we were a little out of order...THANKS CBS...atleast they are showing it..i thought it was funny, romantic and more..

LOVED IT!!! Very romantic, touching & funny, all rolled into one shell! Steve Lawrence was the perfect Morty. Joe Bologna was great too. Noticed Daniel's voice was out of character when he replied to Max: "Oh, you're always trying to hold me back. You're just terrified that people are gonna find out that someone in this house has more talent than you." ROTFL! And Daniel's line, at the end, to Max: "Do you think my British accent sounds fake?" Considering it is! :-) Oh, and the fact that, in actuality, Daniel's stage presence is outstanding (so I've heard/read), Niles was played to be extremely nervous on stage! I laughed so much during these scenes. And CC was great during her parts. Cant wait til "The Producers"!

Good show, funny and romantic, one of my fav, I was sure the last eps had been the best. Steve Lawrence IS the Morty I figured out. Best scenes: Max, Fran and the fake meeting, Fran in doc's Rasso office, the 2 couples at the restaurant, Fran, her father and the muffin. This is TN I like, finally Fran isn't crying or complainig for something. It's crazy, but is it possible that the name Blodgett is a reference to the movie "What happen between my father…" starring Jack Lemmon and Juliet Miles?

please don"t give up the nanny show.

I guess they really are saving the best-for-almost-last!

The Nanny is my favorite show and I love them all!!!

I really liked this episode. I think the "something that's missing" that everyone is referring to is that we know it's soon to be over. We've already seen the finale, so instead of building to a close and allowing The Nanny to go out in the style it deserves CBS has skewed the episodes. I too think The Nanny should be allowed 7th season and that CBS is the real looser here. I do thank them for at least airing the lost episodes. It will be difficult to become a loyal series viewer with CBS again.

If I wasn't moving I'd have more time but all in all--- Brava!!! Bravo!!! LOL all the way!

I love the nanny. I watch it every day. It would be cool if you made The Nanny the movie.

I loved it. This season a lot of the episodes have been sentimental and not that comedy based. This episode included everyone and was hilarious. And then they had another episode. I locked myself up in my room for an hour and didn't come out until the episodes were over.

My fav part was sort of at the end when Max & Fran were dancing. How romantic! I think Renee looked fabulous! Congrats to her.

I really didn't see the point of this episode. I thought that it had ne comedy at all. To me I think that is was the worst episode of The Nanny there has eva been.

This was simply the greatest ep ever, I could not possibly express how much I liked it! Okay, so it wasn't side-splittingly funny. So go watch Friends. This show had depth and meaning, I couldn't have asked for more.

I thought that Max and Fran are really not that romantic towards each other any more, But overall it was a great show.

I didn't like it at ALL. It was too "soapy". And the parts which was supposed to be funny WASN'T.

A very funny and warm show. It was great to finally see Fran's Dad...although, keeping him a mystery would have been appropriate too. (Steve is just too good looking for this) Definitely high in the romance department, for all of Fran's family especially her parents and even between Fran and Max. Just very enjoyable and I laughed out loud at Niles, CC, and Yetta. Sylvia was back on track for this one, a wonderful performance! Someone should win an Emmy for one of the episodes this season. Very touching and emotional at the end. I will definitely stay tuned for the rest! What a fantastic show!

This a great show. I wish it wasn't ending it's run.

Not bad! Best scenes were Fran & Max cancelling the fake meeting and the couples dancing at the end. I agree with an earlier post- they saved the best for last!

I loved watching a story about Sylvia and Morty and how their married life was and where it was heading. It was a loose end in The Nanny that I am happy they tied up. And that song at the end - wow! That man can really sing - it really pulled at my heartstrings! Joe Bologna was perfect as the suave doctor. And I really enjoyed Renee Taylor's angst. It was a situation that I'm sure a lot of married women have been through. Great show!!

The best part of the whole show -Peter Marc Jacobson's cameo!!!!

I already made an earlier comment, but failed to mention one more thing. It was nice to see Sylvia in a whole different light. Renee's acting in this ep was fabulous! I loved the whole show! 10's all the way across!!!

I really enjoyed this one... it definitely had some great moments and some classic lines.

Why oh why did they cancel The Nanny? I love that6 show. I will never stop watching reruns. I wish Fran and Max got married sooner.

Oh, boy, when Morty sung to Sylvia... I just started crying! That was such a beatifull moment... And Franny & Max dancing... By the way, the outfit Fran was wearing is one of the beatifulest EVER!!! Two thumbs up, a ten!!!

i've always been a huge Sylvia fan, so i really enjoyed this ep. Although the first part was full of too many predictable laughs (if you're a rabid nanny watcher) you can guess them a mile away. But the laughs were there in the later half - the fake meeting cancellation (brilliant acting Fran), CC - You stink line to Gracie, Niles "performance" on stage, Steve lawrence was actually quite good. nice chemistry on this ep, with Fran and Morty and Renee and hubby Joseph. The ending was sweet. And then fran was able to undercut the sentiment with some classic Nanny moment. GREAT WORK GUYS.

It was a good show-- definitely worth fighting to see. Although Steve Lawrence didn't play Morty as I'd always imagined him, he did the role nicely. It certainly was time for the show to explore Morty and Sylvia's relationship, and the dynamics that might help to explain some of the Sylvia behaviors we saw over the years. I was a bit surprised by Fran's discussion of them as Mommy and Daddy, but I liked the warmth and poignancy. Then there were the really funny parts-- Fran's cancellation of the imaginary meeting and Yetta's superb put down of Niles' performance in the play. I missed Peter's cameo on the first viewing, but enjoyed it as I rewatched. Again, as always, I was really impressed by the production values and the care with casting. The inside jokes, like Niles' fake English accent, are a real treat for those of us who have been relished the show for so long. Can't wait for the rest of the five!

6.16 The Producers

June 9th 8 PM
Part One of a Three Episode Arc

Fran is surprised to discover that Niles has feelings for Miss Babcock, but helps him with his scheme to become a successful producer to impress her. In order to get backers they impersonate Max and C.C., but the plan goes astray when they are cited for violating city codes. Maxwell bails them out, and the play goes on. While they are basking in the glow of success, Fran convinces Niles to tell C.C. how he feels about her. He is so overcome by nervousness, it doesn't exactly come out the way he planned. Written by Rick Shaw. Story by Chandler Evans, Mike Dow and Rick Shaw. Madeline Porter: Anne Lambton, Legal Server: Casey Williams.

Our responses (110) gave the episode a 8.9 overall, a 8.9 for the comedy, and a 8.1 for romance.
Some comments received were:

I really thought this episode was cute. The whole Niles and C.C. story was to funny to believe. It sure is wierd seeing these episodes and the events after seeing the final episode. It's kinda hard to get use to. Jeers to Ann Guilbert on her dance routine, that was great.

I absolutely loved this episode! Extremly funny and well written. I can't wait for next weeks.

I thought tonights episode was the funniest one yet! The ending part where yetta was dancing was just hilarious! There were some romantic moments but not as much as previous episodes...But over all i though the episode was really funny and well done..I think also the best part was when Niles asked CC to marry him! what a moment that was..=)

Finally! I don't know whether I mean getting the Niles and CC thing going or Max FINALLY telling CC to be nicer to his wife. Oy, the man is slow or what? Anyway, a good start to the arc. Just wish it could have happened sooner like maybe the beginning of the sixth season. Lauren was great in this ep. Another finally for the writers giving her enough of a part to show how funny she really is. A welcome break from the Sylvia onslaught the last few weeks. Loved the part when CC went to a wedding but "didn't go home alone" line and Niles' mumbled "I love you".

I think this was a really funny episode! The best part was when Fran and Niles pretended to be Max and C.C. Also Jetta was just great! I loved the hole episode together. Great one!

I loved it!! It was definatly a favorite!! I taped it but my sound didn't work!! I loved the part with C.C. and Fran in the kitchen and then Maxwell walked in and chewed her out!! And when C.C. tried to buy the kids!! I LOVED the part when Niles popped the question!! A ten!! Great job!!

Well it was good!!! I enjoy the part when Fran try to explain Max the problem with Niles LOL, expecially when Max call NILES!!!That was funny :) and the end yetta's dance HA! HA! HA!,but it was funny. I can wait to see the others!!! :)

This one opened with a bang when Fran finds out the object of Niles affections & I kept laughing all the way through. The scenes with CC & Fran were hilarious. Lauren & Fran both did a great job with them. It was nice to see Fran & Daniel have some really good scenes together too. Loved the one where Max comes in & finds Fran sitting on Niles lap in his chair - that was excellent ! The ending wrapped up a bit too fast but I guess it'll be extended with next week's ep. Can't wait !

my favorite part was when max walked into the room just as fran sat down on nile's lap. they could have done a whole episode on that! but it was very cute just as a small peice. i wish we understood more how they got in trouble and how they got out of it. overall, not bad, but not too great. last week was better.

This one really made me realize how much I'm going to miss the show! Excellent episode -- pace, writing, LOL factor, acting (especially Fran -- bravo) If this is an indication of the 4 to follow, I'm going to have to run out and buy a whole bunch more kleenex! Thank you for another gem, folks. The overall quality factor of this Nanny hour was extremely high. 9/10 (PS, Barb -- love the tune you picked for this one!)

I ahte to give a bad review to any of these lsot episodes, but this was a stinker. Where did Niles' attitude at the biginning come from? I expected him to blurt out something like a proposal or an "I love you" in the heat of a moment, but I was not prepared for, nor did I like his head or heels act. It jsut wan't him. Fran is so perceptive of things like two people in love, why was she so surprised. Uggggh, they batched this up so bad I may have to find some time for a fan fic. Besides the acting out of character, I got the feeling that they cut a lot of stuff out to make room for bits that went nowhere. When Niles and Fran left the office, I expected an agent on to come on the phone and Max to get some idea that something was going on. I really want to know what happened with that phone call. This may be finish the scene stuff. Also we just ended up with everything okay. WHat happened to make it okay. Max apparently paid the fines, but was taht it? He jsut went to an office and paid a lot of money? Certainly they could have come up with something more clever than that? I guess overall I was disappointed. There was so much potential for some great stuff, but instead teh ep was worse tahn blah. [webmasters note: Hmmm, normally I figure if something gets cut from an episode, it doesn't count as ever happening, but some of the things you commented on directly DID land on the floor to make things fit the 22 minute requirement. So in the interest of easing your questions, here's what was cut. An agent did come on the phone confirming a lunch appointment with Bernadette Peters to to discuss the show. Maxwell thinks about it a second, then, in typical Maxwell oblivious fashion, confirms it, and is proud of himself for getting the meeting. Later in the episode, the fines in the theater were fixed by Maxwell removing a few chairs from the audience, thus making it a non-union theater and they didn't have to pay anything. Really though, as these things go, this one was cut no more than usual, and a lot less than some. You want an example of an episode that was really cut to ribbons, last week's Ma'ternal was one, and The Finale was missing HUGE chunks.]

A very funny episode. Niles and Fran were a riot - especially the facial expressions! favorite line: "Hover over a bucket." Ack!!!!! Sure wish we'd seen these in the order they were intended to be seen though. Not knowing what it was all leading up to would have made it that much better.

Great ep! Man I'm going to miss this show sooooo much. Niles' first 'I love you'(over the shoulder), Max walking in on Niles & Fran!!!!! CC trying to bribe Grace, Maggie and Trevor. Really good stuff. One thing--------I love Yetta, but what the heck was that dance thing all about?????

Have you compared the character of Niles in the first season with the character in the last couple of years? They've completely emasculated the man! Were they so afraid that his character was more sophisticated and attractive than Maxwell's that they had to turn him into a wimp? Well, guess what writers? It didn't work! With Danny Davis playing him, he's still the best thing about the Nanny and thank goodness that we finally got an episode that featured him more than any of the others. Just think how sexy it would have been if the same story had been done with the Niles of the first couple of seasons! CC would never have been able to turn him down!

I thought this episode is one of the best that has been shown this season! I just loved the part where Max caught Fran sitting on Niles' lap. That was hilarious!! I have watched this episode three times already. I can't wait until next week!

The show was more energic. I liked the way the show built around Fran and Niles chemistry as actors. Niles was a completely new character tonight but I loved it. C.C. was great in her sporadic appearances. Fran is finally showing and is taking full advantage of her body just as she did before she was pregnant. When Fran buttered Max up I cracked up: LOL.I was surprised Maxwell was the one to be so candid about C.C.'s crush on him and hypocrizy of Fran. Other than that he seemed to flow in and out of the episode. Sylvia looked so slim in that red dress. Brighton looked pretty hot in that denim outfit too. Honey, the entire show was on the mark tonight. I can't wait to see Dummy Twins.

I LOVE Daniel Davis and I think he's a marvelous actor, but is anyone else noticing (in The Finale, The Producers, etc.) that as soon as Niles fell in love, DD's spark disappeared? It's weird and I think it might be mostly the writers' faults for doing the Niles/C.C. relationship "wrong," but I think it's partially about DD, too.
Besides that, I thought the episode lacked the humor all of us have grown to love. I really liked the ideas the writers came up with (like Niles and C.C. finally getting together!!!), but it all seemed so burned out. Lots of the fanfiction I've read about getting them together has been better than that.

*wow* I loved this episode, I don't think I've laughed harder constantly through a TN episode for a while. When Max walks in on Fran and Niles ROTFLMAO. And Fran's "who are you???"

I liked this one, very good! The best parts were when Fran asks Niles "Who are you?!" and Niles and Fran got caught at Maxwell's desk, LOL! Niles saying I love you really fast. I was kinda upset I have to wait till next week to find out what happens. I don't like to be continued episodes. I can't wait for "The Dummy Twins"! Yetta dancing at the end was a riot, of course that wasn't her but LOL anyway. 10's all around! It just keeps getting better and better. Boy I'm so glad we got these episodes back!!

I am not an american but I have seen this ep and wasn't it GREAT?? Fran's reaction to finding out who Niles was inlove with, Niles saying the three magic word's to CC who didn't hear them, I could go on and on. I loved this ep.

I loved it. The chocker at the end was the best part. Isn't he encredible? It took Maxwell 5 years to do, what Niles is able to do in one episode. Being a hopeless Niles and CC fan I ofcourse liked the parts with them the best, but even the other parts were great. Wonderful to see the writers finally sharpen up.

FINALLY! He popped the question! Who other than me thought that the look on Fran's face when she found out who it was, was just *LOL*? And the Yetta scene ;o)

This was a pretty good episode. I loved the way CC kept sticking her foot in her mouth when it came to 'Nanny Fine'. Also how she tried to use the kids to get back in Max' good graces. Finally, "I just can't do this!"

I thought it was a terrific episode. However I think that it should have used more romance and comedy.

I really love The Nanny and am very disappointed that we won't be able to see any new episodes come September. But I was very upset with the way they are showing these "lost" episodes. They are not in order, last Wednesday and this Wednesday, June. 9th. They are scrambling them instead of showing them in sequence. It really made me mad!

Very funny!! The look on Fran's face when she found out it was CC that Niles was pining after was priceless!! And how Niles walks by CC saying I Love You and she says what was another classic bit of writing! I wish they would have shown these episodes before the finale--it would have been a lot better, but I am grateful that CBS is ACTUALLY showing them, late as it may be!!

It was quite funny with CC babcock and Niles. They have a great chemistry together.Fran and Maxwell romance is tapering off a bit after they got married. They should put more romance together. At the end Yetta doin the dance was wonderful.Ah enjoying every last moment of the Finale Season.

FUNNY, it was so funny i laughed the entire time. especially the part when max was comforting fran..

I thought this was a very well done episode. I especially liked the part in the office where Fran and Niles are impersonating CC and Maxwell and then Max comes into the office....the look on his face was priceless....LOL......I also loved the expression on Fran's face when she found out that Niles was in love with CC as well. They really kept us hanging at the end though! Job well done!

I personally Liked this episode, because it was really funny between Niles and C.C, I wished they're was a little more romance between Max and Fran but I think the Niles/C.C thing made up for that!! I Liked it!!

I absolutly loved this weeks episode. It was soo funny. Loved the scene with Fran and Niles in Maxs office and Nile's I love you over his shoulder. Cant wait till next week.

This episode was great! The parts where Niles thought C.C. wouldn't like him as a butler were sweet. The Fran/Niles stuff was funny - the look on Fran's face when she found out Niles loved C.C. was hysterical and the office scene -'nuff said! And I guess C.C. was thinking about another Sheffield wedding when she said she didn't go home alone. LOL!

Wow, they keep gettin' betta and betta! Niles:: I love you. C.C.:: What?? Niles::NOTHING! ROTFLMAO. As i said last week, it feels great to laugh like that again. Oy, am i going to miss this. I seriously doubt that I'll find another show that i love like this. Yetta and the tag scene: TOO MUCH!! Every scene was packed with comedy, but i missed the physical romance aspect...i'm going to miss that terribly. ATTENTION FANFIC WRITERS: ROMANCE, ROMANCE, ROMANCE(i don't care if it's Fran and Max, though i love that, or Niles and C.C.)

God, that was good!! The whole cast was wonderful, but especially Lauren and Daniel. Finally! The way Niles said "I love you" in a low voice then said "Nothing!!" was amazing. So was CC's fake affection of Fran. Really funny all the way.

I thought it was a wonderful episode. I think Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane did a terrific job!I liked it when he muttered "I love you" and CC said "What" and he said "Nothing" However I think that they could have made it more romantic and funny. They could have come up with a better plot as well. It made me miss The Nanny even more this week. It brought back so many memories of Niles and CC together. I hope that they get a spinoff sitcom. With their insults and chemistry at this point I would watch.

Good. I liked the part where Fran was sitting in Niles' lap and then Max came in. But the best part was where Niles couldn't think of what to say to C.C. and blurted out a proposal! I can't wait to see what happens next week!

Hurray for Niles!!! He finally did it! This episode was definitely one of the best, I never laughed so hard. Thanks to CBS for sharing these final episode with us. :-)

*Sigh* I absolutely loved it. Irresistible. The only thing I thought could have been done better, was to cut out CC's pining over Max. It's completely unbelievable that she'd still be complaining about that, then an episode later decide she's finally going to get together with Niles. On the other hand, who wouldn't want to get together with Niles? And what's that Judy Jetson thing she's been doing with her hair lately? But as a rabid CC fan, I'm thrilled that her day is finally coming. I can't wait to see how they're going to handle Niles and CC's big night.

Ok, my vote for favorite line would have to be- Fran: So all these years of you putting dishwater in her coffee, exchanging her lip balm for glue stick and calling her a cow, was just flirting?! Niles: What? No good?-- Oy, that was just classic! Of course, "Marry me" was up there too.

The nanny is the best show i've ever seen. Every one always thinks that nanny is just an adult show, but i'm 13 and it's my favorite show. I think Charles Shaughnessy is the hottest dud I've ever seen. All my friends make fun of me because The Nanny is my favorite show and I'm in love with Charles.

It was wonderful. I saw this episode taped. I traveled 3,000 miles for my favorite show. It was a dream come true. I am so thrilled that CBS aired it. I got to relive it all over again.

Well, this was back to the Nanny I know and love. I missed "Ma'ternal",(egads!)but I have to say that this is only the second Nanny I've really enjoyed all season (the other was Sara's Parents). With the exception of the Yetta scene, which was completely random and silly, this ep was top-notch! I am giggling just thinking about the Niles and fran scene in the office! Two minutes of pure laughter... and the scene in the kitchen where max finally let cc know the score was fantastic! (straight out of fanfic, but kudos to TPTB for listening to the fans!). Keep it up, I'm happy again! I feel like the Sheffield family and co. has returned!

Know what? Max just picks the greatest moments to walk in! First, when he caught C.C. telling Fran off, and he finally told her to be nice to his wife. (That part was so funny!) Then later when Fran tells C.C. what she has done, and C.C. is trying to be nice to her. He of course walks in again. Plus, one of the most funniest parts is when he walks into his office when Fran is in Niles' lap!!!! Then, the very next episode, he walks in on Maggie and her boyfriend! Anyway, this episode was HILARIOUS!! Yetta's dancing, Fran's "Who are you?" to Niles, the "I love you" part, C.C. with the kids (trying to bribe Gracie w/money, Maggie's wedding, and "Trevor?" "It's ...yes?" "I was right AGAIN!!!"), the C.C. and Maxwell impersonation, the look on Fran's face when she finds out Niles has a crush on C.C., Niles' "I'm as giddy as a school girl!", Max comforting Fran, C.C. forgetting Sarah (Sandra's) name (everybody knows she doesn't remember the kid's names, but this added to that aspect), and pretty much the whole ep. was funny! Not as romantic as it could have been, but hey, a great ep anyway! I can't wait until next week, but this made me realize how much I'm going to miss The Nanny!!!!!!!!!!!

It was grat. The Niles and Fran scene in Max's office was the best.

After quite a few dull episodes we finally get a decent one, more related to what a classic Nanny episode ahould be. The interaction between Fran and CC was so funny, when two big comediants get together with a good acript, it´s magic on the screen... And finally Niles proposing to CC...wow!!! That was quite unexpected... There are some "classic" scenes, like the one with Fran rubbing her belly with her "innocent" face to keep CC from beating her...LOL!!!! And when CC is about to hit her and Maxwell appears and she holds Fran saying "Angel, my lucky baby!!!!", what a great comediant Lauren is...

And the show goes on and gets better and then it's over! Another great one - thank you Rick, Chandler and Mike! It all seems to be happening quickly but I guess that's what happens when 7 seasons suddenly turns into 6 - less time to tie up all the loose ends! My favorite part of it - seeing Fran and Niles together as a team again - like in the early days! Even back then Max used to catch them doing silly things. In regards to the cuts made (like why didn't they leave in the call back from Bernadette Peters?)- although the dance scene with Yetta at the end was hilarious, it really served no purpose and the time could have been used to explain the 'fine' and the call-back. Anyway... not many left now so let us all enjoy them and be thankful for what we have had!

Fran on Niles'lap and Max'face, absolutely great.Niles pretending to be Max was priceless.4 to the end and things are going better and better. It'd have to be numbers more than ten to vote the last shows.

Hilarious!!! I loved it! And Yetta dancing in the tag scene - a total scream!

Love your show! Keep sending them, on and on............

It was too funny especially the parts when Maxwell catches CC yelling at Fran and explains to her that that is HIS WIFE and get along or OUT you go!!! About time he catches her being mean to Fran. Fran and Niles getting caught by Max was hilarious!! And can you believe how innocent can be--look at her during the scene when she finally tells Max what she did with the play--playing with her belly and looking at him with those eyes. Fran Drescher is definatly the best actress--you go Girl!! great episode!!

I think that the whole Niles and C.C thing was sick at first but now I like it. Now she's moved on and she's with Niles and maxwell is with Fran. I loved the episode just because of the way it was and the way the show does that. I'm still mad that C.C said no. They should have been married a long time ago, not on the last episode. I think C.C is a cruel person but hey, I'll get over it because I know Niles can make her a caring humanbeing.

I really enjoy watching this episode, I was a member of the studio audience when they taped this show, That was the first time I ever saw the members of the cast in person, the day Ms Drescher signed my book...just unforgetable, I could hear myself laughing in the background, I loved Niles love confesion to C.C, I loved Yetta's little dance number at the end, I loved Fran using her pregnancy not to get hit by C.C, It was just great, the scene with C.C and the kids, was hilarious. A +

I would love to see a The Nanny Marathon, I just LOVE the Nanny series, it's the I Love Lucy of the 90's, I missed the Wedding and I pray it'll come back as a re-run, so far I've taped all the shows and I'm up to tape #7, please please have a Nanny Marathon before the show leave the air time, this show brings laughter and tears in my house, Fran is a awesome actress, oh by the way was there really The Nanny movie? how can I get a copy of it? Thank you for a wonderful TV Show "The Nanny"

I loved the part where they were playing niles and c.c. and they got caught in maxwells office....I nearly died laughing!!!

I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!!! Finally, the writers start the ball rolling with Niles and C.C. Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane ROCKED!!!! "I love you." "What?" "Nothing" :) They have such great chemistry and timing. They are indeed the "Dynamic Duo." I would like to address the view that some have about changes with the character of Niles. It's obvious that today's Niles is not the same character as when the show began. I like to think of the difference like this: Pre-Heart Attack Niles and Post-Heart Attack Niles. In seasons 1-4, Niles was confident, all-knowing, stable. Then he had a heart attack. Even though it is a sitcom world, why wouldn't Niles be different after such an experience? This new Niles is a product of that life-altering experience. He's not a whimp. Season 5 and 6 Niles, IMHO, has been written differently, and may be played differently by DD (although I don't agree with that - he is consistent with his portrayal), but this "difference" is in light of the heart attack. Now that he is in love with C.C., it's normal to see him acting the way he is knowing the woman she is and their vastly different backgrounds. Needless psycho-analysis? You bet. But that's how I see it. Bring on "The Dummy Twins." Can't wait.

I thought this was a sweet episode. I like it even thought I already knew Niles and C.C. got married. It was still romantic. I am sad this means there are only three more originals

I saw this in Australia nearly a week ago now...but I still have to say my bit. I LOVED IT I LOVED IT I LOVED IT I LOVED IT!!!!! Ahhh!! I was so excited at the end of this episode...it was really classic Nanny. I loved Max walking in on Niles and Fran *LOL* and I loved Fran trying to help Niles with C.C. Ten's all the way, this episode was fantastic!!!!!! Oh...I just have to add that Lauren was fabulous this week, I was LOL!! Actually, everybody was really, really funny. Keep up the *excellent* work!

It was great seeing everyone again. Fran was just lovely. The kids were very funny. Max's hair was too long, but he's still a hottie. Can't wait til next episode when things heat up more between Nils and CC.

I loved it. The producers have really found a way to end the show without all the tears. After the fianle' I kept telling myself that their are 6 more episodes. Now I can't say that and I have begun to realize more and more how much I will miss the show, but like two old sayings go "leave them wanting more", and "life must go on"

One of the absolute best! Charles was so right . Everything clicked. It just makes me realize that I'm gonna miss this show SO MUCH so very soon. As for Yetta... YOU GO GIRL!!!! (Yes, I knew it was a double, but it was just so wonderful)

Great episode. I loved the part w/CC, and maggie, gracie, and trevor lol

This was one of my favorite shows! Absolutely great comedy and pace. And wonderful acting. I especially loved Lauren Lane in this one. She's too funny, and it was great that they gave her a chance to show it! Daniel Davis was great, too, but I have to agree that some of the spark is gone. That's too bad. Loved Yetta in the tag scene - that was LOL! And also when Fran tried to worm herself out of the whole theater thing. She was so sweet, and so was Max. But, all in all, Lauren stole the show, IMO. ("I was right ... AGAIN" & "I ... cannot do this!") Classic! I can't even express how talented I think this cast is - not to mention the writers. I'm going to be re-watching this show over and over again.

Again, another winner! Great moments between Niles and Fran as they plot to get CC and Niles together. Fran and Niles in the office was absolutely hilarious, they almost did not know what to say! (although, I agree they should not have cut the phone call scene short) I loved Fran using Brighton to talk to Max, really funny and Max of course is clueless. Niles and Fran getting in trouble together was a Fantastic plot line! I only wish they would have shown Max getting upset, he is so funny at that. Great story! It is great to see Niles and CC getting together finally! I just wish it could be done over a longer period, so we can really see the agonizing way they would torture each other on the way to wedded bliss. Those two are priceless! Loved Yetta dancing. I have noticed that Grace's character is a bit flat, so I hope she gets some better lines in the next episodes left. To say how much I will miss this show is an understatement! Great job!

I certainly enjoyed this ep. The scene with Fran and Niles in the Office was sheer priceless. LOL. So much for "Payne"...

I think romantic aspects and comedy aspects are great, the only thing I am not agree is that we can´t follow an order or sequence to this show in México, I mean for example today we see an episode from 1996 and tomorrow we see an episode from june 1999,and we miss what´s happening with the Nanny and all the other stars! even if we have cable television. Please do something! I don´t know what´s the real problem, but anyway, at least we know that Miss Fine is now Maxwell´s wife. Thankyou

I Loved it!!! Fran, Lauren, Daniel, and Charlie were all great!!

It was an okay episode.

it's interesting how the show has become so much like I Love Lucy with these last few episodes. granted the comparison was always there, but the homage is stronger than ever. i always felt that they were having so much fun on this show and you really get a sense that the tribute to Lucy in these final eps gave the show a new life. this was a good ep, with more screen time for niles and cc. that was overdue. fran was brilliant as usual.(getting gracie ti read the play) Yetta dancing at the end, you guys are wacky. Loved it.
