6.9 Oh, Say, Can You Ski?

Max has called Dr. Reynolds to come talk to Fran about her obsession with getting pregnant. Dr. Reynolds suggests to them that they are trying too hard and that it may happen if they would just relax.

Max suggests a vacation in Aspen to President Clinton's Gala Dinner.

So the whole family is off to Aspen.

As they get ready for the dinner, Max reads off a long list of topics of conversation to avoid with the President.	But Max stammers his way through the introductions till Fran drags him off... Max: Oh my God. I just humiliated myself in front of the President of the United States of America! So what are you smiling about? Fran: Because I didn't do it!!!
The big moment arrives and Fran meets Hillary and Bill. She manages to schmooze successfully.

That night, Max is obsessing about what he said, and Fran convinces him that the best way to forget about it is to do something else.

Just then the phone rings. It's the President's secretary inviting Fran to go skiing with the Clinton's because they found her charming.

They try to pick up where they left off, but now Fran is distracted. Fran: What am I gonna wear?

Fran has five days to learn how to ski, but the group lessons don't go real well.	Ya gotta keep warm, and there's one real good way to do that... Fran: Ya know this has always been a fantasy of mine. Max: What? To make love in the snow? Fran: No, to make love with my ski instructor.
So Max volunteers to teach her. But Fran ends up losing control and skiing off the beaten trail where they end up lost for hours.
Five days later, Fran is suffering with a cold she caught from the adventure on the mountain. The pharmacy won't send her prescription, however, until the results of some tests are in.	She rushes back to the hotel to tell Max. Fran: Do you remember when Dr. Reynolds said what might happen if I would just relax? Max: Yes... Fran: Well remember how relaxed I was in the cave? Max: Yes.... Darling?? Are we nodding and smiling because you're trying to tell me we're going to have a baby? Oh sweetheart, oh we're going to have a baby!!! Wait, wait, are they sure? Fran: Absolutely positively.
On her way to ski with the Clinton's, she gets a call on her cell phone from the clinic with some good news. Fran: Thank you so much! Oh my God. I'm pregnant!!
