| Niles comes running into the kitchen all excited about a play he discovered that he thinks would be wonderful. He wants Max to produce and make him his partner. | Fran is surprised to discover that he wants to do all this to impress a woman. She encourages him to let whomever know how he feels, but then is really shocked to find out who the object of his affection is. |
| However, Max doesn't seem very interested and Niles' hopes are dashed. Niles: Well, forget it. What was I thinking? She's only ever going to think of me as just a domestic. |
| Fran tries to talk to C.C. but gets interrupted. C.C.: Nanny Fine, I may have to accept the fact that you snagged my boyfriend and are about to breed what should be my babies..... | Maxwell finally takes a stand and demands that C.C. treat Fran better. Maxwell: This anomosity has been going on far too long C.C.. Frankly I'm sick of it, now either you make friends and get along with my wife, or there's no place for you in our home and I'll have to dissolve our partnership. Fran: Oohh! |
| Fran tries to understand Niles' sudden change. Fran: Are you telling me that all those years that you put dishwater in her coffee and changed her lip balm for glue stick and called her a cow, you were flirting? Niles: What no good? | They get into "position" as C.C. and Max. The ruse works and they get through to Bernadette Peter's agent. But then they get just a bit too carried away with the concept. Fran: Oh 'Maxwell', we could make such a great couple but I know I can't compete with that gorgeous, sexy brunette you married. |
| Fran decides that the best way to help Niles impress C.C. is to produce the play themselves. But no one will take their calls, so they decide the only way to get things done is to pretend to be Sheffield-Babcock Productions. |
| When Max walks in on them, they stop in shock, then run off. Fran: Oh, gotcha, we knew you were coming in here.... Niles: It was her idea. Fran: It was his idea. | Later at the theater, things seem to be coming together until they get served with legal papers notifying them they are violating all kinds of codes. | They both are depressed at this turn of events and try to figure out how to break the news to Maxwell that they are being sued for $250,000. |
| Fran figures that since C.C. isn't allowed to hate her anymore, perhaps she is the best approach. So she tells C.C., who reacts in typical C.C. fashion. C.C.: I'm going to kill you!! You stupid, useless, big haired..... | When Max enters... C.C.: ...angel. What lucky babies! Then he exits. Fran: Here's the deal.... But C.C. figures Max will kill Fran himself when he finds out, and she doesn't need to get involved. |
| On to Plan B. Next she gets Brighton to tell his dad that Fran is crying in the living room and needs some comfort. He enters to finds a pouty Fran in position on the couch. Max encourages her to find some project to occupy herself with while he is so busy with his sitcom. Fran: And you wouldn't mind if I did that? Max: No, of course not my darling. I fully support you in anything you wanted to do. Fran: Anything? Max: You what??? | The opening night arrives, Max having taken care of all the fines. |
| At the party afterwards, Fran encourages Niles, successful producer, to go over to talk to C.C., object of his affection. Fran: Don't spend the rest of your life wondering. Carpe Diem. |

I Think I Love You
|
I'm sleeping And right in the middle of a good dream All at once I wake up From something that keeps knocking at my brain Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head And spring up in my bed Screaming out the words I dread I think I love you This morning I woke up with this feeling I didn't know how to deal with And so I just decided to myself I'd hide it to myself And never talk about it And didn't I go and shout it When you walked in to the room I think I love you I think I love you So what am I so afraid of I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of though it worries me to say I never felt this way |
I don't know what I'm up against I don't know what it's all about I've got so much to think about Hey! I think I love you So what am I so afraid of I'm afraid that I'm not sure of A love there is no cure for I think I love you Isn't that what life is made of though it worries me to say I never felt this way Believe me You really don't have to worry I only wanna make you happy And if you say, hey go away, I will But I think better still I better stay around and love you Do you think I have a case Let me ask you to your face Do you think you love me I think I love you I think I love you I think I love you I think I love you |
