Mr. Sheffield and C.C. are off to Boston on a business trip, and Max decides to take the children with him.

Meanwhile, Val and Fran lament the lack of cute guys available. They decide to charge $20 a person, and have their own singles party.

Maggie doesn't want to go to Boston with the family. Fran talks Mr. Sheffield into letting her stay home. He agrees, but with the condition that she behave and have no wild parties.

Val arrives with the news that Bennie's Clam Bar, where they were supposed to hold their party, has burned down.

Fran hits it off with Jeff, but he asks a lot of questions about her business licenses for the party.
Fran: What business, it's a party!
Jeff: Fran, I don't know how to tell you this, but I'm a police officer, and you're under arrest.
Fran: That was a pistol??!!

They decide to hold the party at the house instead.

The next morning, Fran and Niles are both just arriving home.
Niles: Handcuffs Miss Fine?
Fran: He was a cop! I got arrested last night.
Niles: Really? I was a pirate. I had to walk the plank.

The house is a wreck from the party and they all race around trying to get it cleaned up before the family gets home from Boston. But Mr. Sheffield had beat them all home.

Max: Miss Fine, what on earth possessed you, I specifically said 'No Parties!'
Fran: Well, technically, you told Maggie no parties.

But the dressing down will have to wait, Fran is due in court.

Fran's lawyer is not exactly effective.

Mr. Sheffield rides to the rescue though and gets her off with just a fine.

Rock Around The Clock
(Words and Music by Max Freedman and Jimmy DeKnight )

One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock rock
Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock rock
Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock rock
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight

Put your glad rags on, join me, Hon
We'll have some fun when the clock strikes one
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight
Gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight

When the clock strikes two, three and four
If the band slows down we'll yell for more
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight
Gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight

<instrumental interlude>

When the chimes ring five, six, and seven
We'll be right in seventh heaven
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight
Gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight

When it's eight, nine, ten, eleven too
I'll be goin' strong and so will you
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight
Gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight

<instrumental interlude>

When the clock strikes twelve, we'll cool off then
Start a'rockin' round the clock again
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight
Gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight
