 With some prodding from Fran, Brighton asked his nerdy science partner Brooke to a school dance. |  But later, he took it back. [Hmm, sounds familiar. Like father, like son?] |  All the way home in the cab, Fran berated Brighton. Turned out the cab driver went to high school with Fran and she wouldn't go out with him back then. |
 Brighton guilted her into accepting a date and Jeffrey was just as nerdy as she remembered, even getting her to do the Hustle in the middle of the restaurant. |  When Fran refused his marriage proposal, Jeffrey threatened to jump off the ledge of the building. |
 To give Jeffrey a reason to live, Fran offered to get Maxwell to read a play he had written. She ran home to get Mr. Sheffield. |
 Maxwell read the play, and amazingly, he loved it! |  Brooke and Brighton went to the dance after all, and Brighton was pleasantly suprised by Brooke's transformation. |
 Jeffrey got so excited at the news that he fell off the ledge. But his fall was broken by a huge pile of garbage, so he was okay. |
