What is the Virtual Seventh Season?

If you are new to the page, you might be wondering what this Virtual Seventh Season stuff is all about. Well, we decided that we all knew these characters so well, and knew how they would behave, it wasn't hard for us to imagine what it might have been like if the show had continued. So, we found a generous new network, the RUNBC (that's the Really Unofficial Nanny Broadcasting Corporation) who was quite willing and able to pick up the show. The network executives commissioned the fabulous Nanny fan fiction writers to collaborate and continue the show in one vision of how things might have been. Each week a new episode aired, each story standing on it's own, and each contributing to the larger story arc of the season as a whole.

The network "suits" were a little concerned that it might be difficult for the audience to imagine the new house in California, since there weren't many visual clues left for us by the show, and all the "sets" would be new. So, they commissioned a set of floor plans to be drawn up to help us get our bearings in our new digs. The first stop in starting the new season for each of you should be a house tour of the Sheffield Estate; that way you will have a common basis for your imagination to soar. 7.1 Mood Swings by Abby September 20th, 1999	The Seventh Season premieres with the families settling in their new homes in Los Angeles. Getting used to new places and new relationships isn't always easy!
7.2 Frannie Needs A Nanny by Kate the Dreamer September 27th, 1999	Fran discovers it's hard work to be a Mommy, and Max and CC's pilot gets rejected by the network. Max tries hard to revive his very short-lived career in TV, which seems on it's way to ending before it even begins. Charles Shaughnessy guest stars as himself.
7.3 Sitcoms Of Our Lives by Dede October 4th, 1999	Max and C.C. are 'given' an idea for their sitcom, which has a familiar feeling to it. Meanwhile, Fran hires a new Niles only to discover the question, "What's for dinner?" is not always safe to ask.
7.4 House of Cards by Kate October 11th, 1999	A stressed out King and an exhausted Queen don't make for a happy kingdom. Can Max and Fran get themselves and their family back on track before its too late?
7.5 The Mother In Law by Elizabeth and Karin October 18th, 1999	C.C.'s mother, B.B., finds out about her daughter's impetuous marriage to the butler and flies to California to break them up. Surprisingly, C.C. puts up with her mother's demands!
7.6 Whirlwind Honeymoon by Brenda October 25th, 1999	Fran copes with an always-gone Maxwell and an overly attentive replacement butler, while Niles and C.C. finally go on their honeymoon. Brighton returns from Europe.
7.7 Valuable Friendships by Julia S. O'Brien November 1st, 1999	Val calls Fran with some unexpected news - the least of which is that Fred has lost his job at the pharmacy. With her usual foresight, Fran comes up with the brilliant idea that Max can hire Fred to work on the sitcom, and Val and Fred move to L.A. Naturally, chaos ensues.
7.8 Fran Gets Wired by Sabine Clement November 8th, 1999	Maxwell gets himself a new computer for his office, and it doesn't take long before Fran hooks up to the net. With Val and Fred moving into their own place, Maxwell being occupied by the sitcom, Niles writing his novel, and Sylvia being newly energized by Feng Shui, who's there to drag Fran out of cyberspace and back to the real world?
7.9 Jigsaw Puzzle by Delph November 15th, 1999	Niles and CC's house is temporarily inhabitable. Maxwell and Fran offer them the hospitality of the guest house for the night, but as bigger problems arise, their stay has to be prolonged and everybody enjoys being back to the 'old times'.
7.10 Betting To Know You by IvanaBGood November 22nd, 1999	Fran and CC team together to break their husbands from their annoying habits. At the same time an ex-girlfriend of Maxwell's stops by for a visit and Yetta's antics add to the chaos.
7.11 The Main Event by Laura Carvajal November 29th, 1999	Yetta and Sammy are finally getting married, and it's all up to Fran to make this the wedding of the millenium. Meanwhile, the Sheffield men are having trouble coping with not being in New York on Sara's birthday for the first time - but is Fran too busy to notice?
7.12 Mr Mom and The Producer by Kate the Dreamer December 6th, 1999	You don't know what it's like until you walk a mile in another man's high heels. It's the twins first Hanukkah but, the biggest miracle of all will be: Can Fran and Max survive 8 days in each other's shoes? Meanwhile on the Abominable Babcock front, CC the workaholic must deal with her doctor's instructions to take it easy during her last trimester.
7.13 Ode to Chastity Claire by IvanaBGood December 13th, 1999	A very pregnant wife going through jealous rages has Niles in a quandary. Meanwhile, Brighton falls in love with a classmate and doesn't know how to make her notice him, until Fran comes up with an answer to both of their problems.
7.14 From Hell to Heaven A Sheffield Family Christmas by Sharon and Delph December 20th, 1999	Fran is depressed- She misses Christmas In New York, the twins are both teething, and Max, oblivious to everything, is worried about his sitcom. Then comes Maggie, feeling very sick, and to top it all, Nigel has announced his visit, much to Max's disapproval.
7.15 OY2K Disaster by Rachael Samuels January 3rd, 2000	It's the turn of the Millennium and the Sheffield's are all celebrating. Could things possibly go more wrong than this?
7.16 Dreams Don't Come True by Aimee January 10th, 2000	Fran concocts a romantic plan to help Niles get C.C. to admit that she loves him. Meanwhile, C.C., fearful about her abilities as a mother, is plagued by repetitive nightmares.
7.17 Be A Pal by Sara van Bussel January 17th, 2000	With her soon to arrive baby and seeing Fran juggle her twins, it all makes C.C. very unsure about her motherly skills. But an unusual offer from Fran seems to change all that.
7.18 Growing Pains by Kate Moore January 24th, 2000	Gracie's in Love ;) Brighton's in Trouble :( Max's in the office (typical), So what's a Mom to do?
7.19 The Best Laid Plans by Brenda January 31st, 2000	The entire Sheffield family is going to England for Maxwell's brother Nigel's wedding. Everyone is happy for Nigel, except Elizabeth Sheffield, who just can't resist one last try at breaking up the happy couple.
7.20 Oys In The Hood by Jennifer and DreamKate February 7th, 2000	Maxwell's sitcom is threatened with being removed from the schedule for sweeps, but Fran and her Internet friends get together to change the network's mind.
7.21 A Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Jen and DreamKate February 14th, 2000	It's Valentine's Day at the Sheffield Estate and yet all is in disarray. Gracie is torn between two dates, Niles is trying desperately to romance his very pregnant wife and Fran wants another baby!!! What's Maxwell to do?
7.22 Les Mishpuchah by IvanaBGood February 21st, 2000	The birth of Niles' and CC's baby is finally here! A usual birth? Highly unlikely for this unusual couple. Tune in and find out the results of the Name and Gender poll. A famous celebrity makes a guest appearance.
7.23 Slow Down, Step Back & Think by Caryn February 28th, 2000	A simple promise is made between Fran and Max, but which one of them breaks it? Max tries to deal with his show and his family, but which one does he deem more important? Fran gets a new idea regarding the internet and Max's show, will he listen? Everything revolves around Max's sitcom, but will Fran get a chance to change that and make everything revolve around their family?
7.24 Look Who's Talking Now by Jenn S. March 6th, 2000	The twins are almost 10 months old now and their distinct personalities are emerging. Is Eve a little Fran and is Jonah more Max or have the youngest Sheffields also picked up a few personality traits from certain other friends and family along the way? They don't actually talk yet but you'll be able to find out what the twins are really thinking as they share their thoughts and try to influence what's going on around them.
7.25 Like Father, Like Daughter? by Meg March 13th, 2000	When Andrew Lloyd Webber moves to California, the Sheffield house is turned upside down. Grace falls for his son & Max's sitcom suddenly has some competition!
7.26 The Birthday Boy by Elizabeth and Karin March 20th, 2000	Fran and C.C., two very different women with one thing in common. They both forgot Niles' birthday. Or did they?
7.27 Give My Regards To Broadway by Kate The Dreamer March 27th, 2000	Everyone's giving their regards to Broadway. Grace is auditioning for the school play, Maxwell's missing the Great White Way and where's that gorgeous voice in the park coming from?
7.28 The (Big) Top by Julia April 3rd, 2000	Life at the top - what would that be like? Combine a house full of kids, a wacky relative or two, a few loose screws and a sitcom on the edge, and it's the Big Top.
7.29 First Steps by Delph April 10th, 2000	Max is a bit worried about the Finale of the sitcom. With a little help from Chinese oils, Fran uses her magic to make him relax. While Niles and C.C. are overjoyed as they witness the awakening of little Emily Rose, and the first hints, even tiny, of her future temper. Not wanting to be left out, the twins have a little surprise of their own.
7.30 My Baby By My Side by Aimee April 17th, 2000	When Fran devises a scheme for Niles to make some money at roulette using CC as his lucky charm, gambling fever strikes the Sheffield family.
7.31 Friendship, Secrets and Walls by Barb April 24th, 2000	Elizabeth Sheffield comes to Los Angeles to visit, determined to make peace with her son and his family. She discovers that sharing one small secret from her past can help to scale the walls that divide them.
7.32 Feeling Hot Hot Hot by Sabine Clement May 1st, 2000	A heat wave rolls over LA, and especially the Brits in the house have a hard time coping. While Niles is desperately trying to stay cool, Maxwell tries to hot up the campaign around the show. He even takes Fran with him when he's to appear on national television - a sure sign of a heat stroke...
7.33 Stardust by Kate Moore May 8th, 2000	Brighton's stressed out about his latest project for school. But with some help from Fran, Niles, Chester and Grace everything works out just fine........ Sorta......... kinda........... maybe.
7.34 A Day In The Life Of... by Caryn May 15th, 2000	An earthquake, no central air, a locked door and children...can turn anyone's life upside down. The Sheffield's and Babcock's find out what life in California can be like. More importantly the subject of New York comes up between Fran and Max--can Bubby Sophie help them decide where home is?
7.35 The Never-ending Story by Kate The Dreamer May 23rd, 2000	The Sheffields and Babcocks are preparing for the big celebratory party of thier anniversarys and the twins first birthday when the news comes about the fate of the sitcom. Where will everyone end up? LA or New York?
