The following guidelines have been established by the Anti-Phishing Working Group to assist consumers in avoiding becoming a vicitim of e-mail scams.
>Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent request for personal information
>Do not use the links in e-mail to get to any web page, if you suspect the message might not be authentic.
>Avoid filling our forms in email messages that ask for personal financial information.
The Citizens Bank of Logan will never send you an email asking for any information regarding your personal financial information.
>Always ensure that you are using a secure website when submitting credit card or other sensitive information via your Web browser. A secure browser address should begin with "https:// " rather than "http://"
>Consider installing a Web browser tool bar to help protect you from known phishing fraud websites. Scam Blocker software downloads are available free on the Internet.
>Regularly log into your online accounts, check all bank, credit and debit card statements to ensure all transactions are legitimate.>Keep your computer up to date with all security patches.
